I have three teen boys plus little ones, so I do beef jerky, random boxes of $1 candy, sunflower seeds, and they always get pez and a pez dispenser as well as one of those (usually $1) plastic candy canes with candy. I also put in a small packet of protein powder, Gatorade packets, etc.
Those are great ideas, Jana! Thanks so much for sharing! -Olivia, MSM Team
Batteries! My kids actually ask for them. And freeze dried fruit from Aldi. They get their own individual bag and it doesn’t break the bank.
That’s so funny about the batteries!! I love practical gifts at Christmas too! 😉 -Olivia, MSM Team
We do mostly breakfast items so we can eat while we open presents so no one is hangry. Things like juice, fruit, granola bars, muffins, donuts, cinnamon rolls etc. Then I put in a little candy, toothbrush and one or two small things. It makes things so simple.
$1.00 scratch instant lottery tickets…we have a family rule if anyone wins over $25 it is split evenly. The kids and adults love these!
Oh Patti!! Thank you for reminding me about this. I had come up with the idea to do it but have forgotten about my own idea!!!
One thing I do to save money since I have a lot of stockings to fill is put food in them. Not totally but things such as an orange, small individual apple sauce, jerky, candy, candy cane, chips, hot chocolate packages, mints. Buying them in bulk saves money.
Decorative/character reusable face masks. Stylus pens.
Character band aids and scotch tape (are my kids the only ones who use it like crazy?!)
Oh my goodness!!! Scotch tape!!!!! No your kids are not the only ones who use it!!!
