Since we were out of town for two weeks, our fridge was really bare so I did a big shopping trip to stock back up for this week! Here’s what I bought at ALDI:

I also quickly stopped by Kroger to grab some cage-free eggs (our ALDI doesn’t carry them and these are what we use for scrambled eggs, etc.) and to grab some cottage cheese (because I forgot to buy it at ALDI). I also looked at the markdowns to see what they had.

I was excited with the deals I found:
Kroger Shopping Trip
- 2 dozen Cage-Free Eggs — $2.79 per dozen
- Cottage Cheese — $1.89
- 4 packages of Chobani Yogurt (2 yogurts per package) — marked down to $0.79 per package
- 3 packages Kroger Cubed Ham (I’m going to stick these in the freezer to save for meals over the next few weeks) — marked down to $1.19 per package
- 4 packages of Chicken Hot Dogs — marked down to $0.69 per package
- King’s Hawaiian Bread — $1.99
- Oikos Greek Yogurt — marked down to $0.49
- Drinkable Yogurt — marked down to $0.49
- Total with tax: $21.18

All totaled, we spent $106.35 on groceries. We usually average around $125 in grocery spending per week (though recently, it’s been less — in fact, we set aside all of our extra grocery money from the past few months to use for our food spending on our recent vacation!), so I was excited to restock our fridge and have food for all of our meals this week and still stay under-budget!
Here’s what’s on our menu plan this week:
This Week’s Menu Plan
Breakfast — Cereal, Oatmeal, Toast, Eggs, Fruit, French Toast
Lunches — Turkey Sandwiches, Chicken Hot Dogs, Cheese Quesadillas, Caeser Salad, Yogurt, Fruit/Veggies, Chips/Salsa/Guac, Leftovers
Dinners — Baked Ziti, Corn Chowder, Haystacks, Breakfast for Dinner (French Toast/Bacon), Southwest Roll-Ups, Sausage & Peppers over Rice, Dinner Out
