Do you ever feel like you’re just barely keeping your head above water? If so, this episode of The Crystal Paine Show is for you! Jesse and I have been married for 21 years and we’ve learned and grown a lot in those years — and tried a lot of different things that worked and many things that didn’t.
In this conversation, we share some of our simple systems that keep us sane and help us to have breathing room in our days to enjoy our life and invest in what matters most.
First up, we talk about how we each have our own jurisdictions in managing our house and business and what that looks like. We also share what we expect of our kids and how us all working together really frees up a lot of physical and emotional energy for us as parents.
Then, we move onto detailing changes we’ve made this year to simplify and how it has made such a difference: like reserving one day a week for meetings and interviews, carefully considering commitments and what that looks like for us right now, and how we have our work schedule set up so we both get time to work in.
We end with sharing a number of different strategies we employ to eliminate decision fatigue and to streamline our lives: things like groceries, dishes, laundry, daily routines, avoiding paper piles, and more! I also give you a little peek into my home life growing up and talk about how my mom’s organized systems influenced me.
If you’re ready to ditch the overwhelm and reclaim your peace of mind, I hope our ideas serve as a springboard for solutions that might work for you, and don’t forget to snag your free Simplified Home Checklists!

Looking for cheap date ideas or maybe even some free date night ideas? Check out this list of 65+ fun activities you can enjoy on a budget!

There is nothing that will squelch the joy in frugality faster than pinching your pennies so hard that you never have any fun.
And if you’re planning to practice thrift for the long haul, it’s important to strategically come up with ways to keep life interesting, exciting, and fresh — while sticking to your budget!
Thanks to so many great ideas from our frugal social media followers, we’ve compiled a list of really fun, frugal activities that work well for free or cheap date night ideas! (Or for the whole family!)
Whether you want to stay in, go out, or take a little adventure, we’ve got dozens of frugal ideas to add some fun to your next date night.

1. Coffee + Bookstore: We used to do this at Barnes and Noble back in our law school barebones budget days. We’d browse books, split a drink (often paying for it with a card I’d earned through reading emails and taking surveys!), and then sit and read and talk for a while. It made for a very relaxing evening that cost us next to nothing!
2. Coffee and/or Dessert: Sip your favorite coffees or split a yummy dessert. Or, if your budget is a little larger, get both and enjoy a relaxing evening with good conversation (either at the restaurant or at home after the kids are in bed).
3. Coffee + Devotions: We love to go for coffee dates and take our devotional books to read together. We get to really talk and we usually take the time to pray and dream about the future together.
4. Head to a Thrift Store: Take a small amount of cash and see who can find the most bang for their buck! You could also do this with yard sales, garage sales, estate sales, etc.
5. Visit the Library: Go to the library, just the two of you, and browse different books that you usually don’t get a chance to look at. Sit and read for a bit, and check out a few favorites. You’ll feel like you went shopping without having spent anything!
6. Go Window Shopping: If you can control your impulse purchases, it might be fun to simply walk through some of your favorite sports stores, antique shops, home improvement stores, etc.
7. Plan a CVS Date: Make a fun evening out of using up your extra ECBs. Purchase a few frugal treats and head to the park and share your goodies!
8. Bookstore Date: Each choose a book from different genres then bring it back to a table and share it with one another. For instance — find a book in the travel section that is a dream vacation you’d like to take together. Or, find a joke book with a great joke. It’s so fun and free!
9. Enjoy an Afternoon Date: Lunch prices are typically cheaper than dinner prices and matinee movies are always the cheapest, so if you can swing an afternoon date, you’ll likely save quite a bit.

10. Service Project: Volunteer together at a local food bank, soup kitchen, or other needy organization. Or just surprise an elderly neighbor by doing their yardword or bringing a meal (that you made together).
11. Plan a Happy Hour Date: Capitalize on special offerings for appetizers during the happy hour time slot. You’ll save a bunch, beat the dinner rush, and have lots of fun together.
12. Bowling: Check if any of your local bowling alleys offer a “dollar bowl night”. When we were first married, we’d go on $0.99 night and rent our shoes for $0.99 each and play two games at $0.99 each. It was such a fun outing and it only cost us around $6!
13. Samples + Shopping: Head to Costco or Sam’s Club together, right around meal time, and enjoy lots of yummy samples while getting your shopping done.
14. People Watch: Grab a pizza or sub sandwiches and head to the mall or a local airport to people-watch.
15. Local Airport: Grab fast food and sit outside your local airport to watch planes take off and land.
16. Grocery Store Sushi Date: Skip the fancy high-priced restaurants and grab some grocery store sushi before heading to your favorite local spot and enjoying the sunset.
17. Play Tennis at the Park: Go to your local park to play tennis, pickleball, or frisbee golf! Exercise and fun!
18. Fazoli’s: Split an Italian Ice and Sampler platter at Fazoli’s and enjoy the free bread sticks!
19. Grocery Store Challenge: Split up in the grocery store and each choose foods on a certain theme (food type, color, holiday, etc.) Keep your items a surprise until you get home and then create a fun meal together with your purchases.

20. Have a Car Picnic: Keep a basket in your car with chips, water, cloth napkins, and a tablecloth. Pick up deli sandwiches or make an easy lunch. Get in the car and drive to a place that seems fun to eat, chat, and listen to music or a book.
21. DIY Drive-In Movie: Take the seats out of your vehicle and fill the back with cushions and blankets (or use a truck bed). Drive up to an overlook area and watch a movie in your car on your phone, tablet, or laptop while enjoying snacks or drinks.
22. Watch High School or College Sports: Go to your kids’ sports games to support your kids and get a free/cheap date night! Many colleges offer free admission to some of the less-popular sports as well.
23. Use Discount Gift Cards + Coupons: Purchase discounted restaurant gift cards from Sam’s Club at up to 35% off. Then go enjoy a dinner date when you have a coupon or there’s a sale at the restaurant.
24. Card Shopping: Instead of buying expensive cards for all those Hallmark holidays, go together to your local grocery store, each choose the card you would buy for the other person, read them to each other, and put them back on the shelf!
25. Declutter Your Bookshelf: Spend some time going through your books at home and then take the books around to Little Free Libraries and distribute them!
26. Progressive Fast Food Dinner: Have a progressive date at fast food restaurants. Make it a fun game by only ordering items that are $3 or under.
27. Go to the Gym: Hit up the local gym for an evening of working out together.

28. Just Be: Lay a blanket on the living room floor, light some candles, play some music, and just hang out together.
29. Grandparent Sleepovers: Encourage your parents to have the kids over for a sleepover some night, and enjoy being home without any interruptions or distractions.
30. Bonfire: Enjoy a cozy bonfire in your backyard — complete with comfy seating, cozy blankets, some music, and your favorite drink.
31. Spa Night at Home: Grab some dollar face and hair masks, sugar scrubs, and lotions. Do facials, foot soaks, hair mask and finish with sugar scrub shower. Give each other a back rub and finish with dessert.
32. Stargaze: Lie on a blanket together in the backyard or on top of your roof (if you dare!) and looks at the stars together.
33. Fancy Dinner at Home: If beans and rice make up a large part of your diet, plan ahead so that one night per week, you can have a “feast”. It doesn’t have to be anything elaborate – maybe something like meat loaf, a potato dish, some homemade bread, salad, and a dessert. Or if you can’t even afford that, add a dessert to your normal fare and bring out the nice dishes, a tablecloth, and add a centerpiece. A dessert and a candle can make you feel like you’re having a gourmet dinner even if it’s hamburger helper!
34. Progressive Dinner at Home: Decorate four different rooms with four different themes and then serve a coordinating menu item for each. This would be fun to do with other couples or with your kids, too. Have appetizers, a soup/salad, the main dish, and dessert as you travel around your home.
35. Dinner and a Movie at Home: Order your favorite takeout and enjoy it in your bedroom or den while watching a favorite movie. One reader mentioned that she and her husband took turns feeding each other blindfolded, and that it was very hilarious and fun!

36. Movie Night at Home: Rent a movie with Amazon Prime credit (or get one free at the library). Make some special snacks and watch the movie together under blankets after the kids go to bed.
37. Game Night at Home: Each choose a favorite game and play together, with your family, or invite a few friends over. Prepare some of your favorite munchie snacks and a special beverage. Mix up the games too — it could be card games, board games, video games (Wii is especially fun), or even recreational sports in the yard.
38. Dream About Home Projects: One reader suggested going to your favorite home improvement store and designing your dream kitchen (pretending you have an unlimited budget!) Write down the products you would use (cabinets, flooring, counters, appliances) and how much everything costs. Then compare notes with one another. It is fun, free, and you get to learn each other’s tastes!
39. YouTube Paint at Home: Find a YouTube tutorial and enjoy an at-home paint night — either just as a couple or with friends. One reader said they actually painted their parents’ portraits and another said they painted each others’ portraits. It was a blast!
40. Have a Treehouse Date: Do your kiddos have a treehouse or tree fort in your yard? If so, bring up a blanket and a special meal or treat and enjoy a fun date night in your own backyard!
41. Do Daily Chores Together: Make dinner together, walk the dog together, clean the garage together, grocery shop together. You’ll chat while you work, you’ll finish faster, and you’ll likely enjoy it more.
42. Fondue Night: Have an at-home date night with homemade fondue and all the fixings. Yum!
43. Charcuterie Night: Make a fancy charcuterie board and special drinks, and enjoy eating together outside on the patio.
44. Pictionary on Each Other’s Backs: Draw pictures on each other’s backs and guess what is being drawn!
45. Mini Book Club: Read a book together (maybe even out loud to each other) and discuss it!

46. Bike Ride + Ice Cream: If you live near an ice cream shop, ride your bikes or walk together and order two cones (or split something fancier). You could also ride bikes or walk to a local grocery store and grab a pint of your favorite flavor to eat at a park.
47. Go For a Drive: Drive around your town and enjoy the scenery and just talk. This is fun over the holidays when lights are out, and also in the summer when it stays light longer.
48. Plan a Loose Change Date: Take all of the loose change you can find in your house, purse, car, etc. and figure out a creative way to maximize it to have a fun date night. (One fun idea might be going to the local arcade to play games!)
49. Treasure Hunting: Check out a metal detector from your local library (many offer them for free) and hunt around your yard, a local park, a wooded trail, or wherever. You never know what you might find!
50. State Park Picnics: Check the State Park Pass out of the library and pack a picnic lunch. Splurge for some ice cream on the way home.
51. Plan a Scavenger Hunt: You could plan this around your home/yard, within walking distance, or something more elaborate around town. One suggestion is to go to your favorite places around town or places that have a significant meaning and snap a selfie together in front of the place. One could be a restaurant, one could be dessert or coffee, one could be an activity, OR they could just be landmarks that are special to you. Either way, you’re spending time together!
52. Watch the Sunset (or Sunrise): Head to the beach, a local trail, or even to your own backyard and enjoy a sunset or sunrise together. Pack a favorite drink or snack and a cozy blanket, or walk the beach holding hands. One reader and her husband drove out to an icy pond in the middle of the winter to watch the sunrise. She said it was amazing.
53. Hike + Picnic: Get some fresh air and exercise while you enjoy the beautiful scenery, wonderful conversation, and a yummy picnic lunch.

54. Free Local Attractions: Google free activities in your area and you might be surprised. There are free days at local museums and galleries, free concerts in the park, free ice skating, and other local events that you might not even be aware of.
55. Late Night Swim: If you have a pool or hot tub, or if you live near a lake, head out after dark and enjoy a late-night swim together.
56. Go Fishing: There’s lots of time to talk and just enjoy each other’s company when you’re waiting for the fish to bite. Pack some snacks, or plan to have a fish fry when you get home.
57. Feed the Ducks: Head to the local pond to feed the ducks and enjoy conversation with one another.
58. Dancing in the Moonlight: Drive out to a favorite (non busy) place and dance underneath the stars in front of your cars headlights!
59. Pick a Place: Open a map (or your phone) and pick a random place within 1 hour’s drive. Then drive there and see what they have to offer. You can talk and listen to music along the way, and you never know what lovely community you might find as a result.
60. Open Houses: Go to open houses to get ideas of how you want to style your home and/or dream about the future home you want to buy/create together!
61. Stargaze Somewhere Else: Drive outside the city where there isn’t as much light pollution and look at the stars together. Try to name as many constellations as you can!

62. Tour Your Own Town: Visit your local area as a tourist. Take photos with all the local landmarks. (You could even Google the history of your town and visit all of the historic places in it.)
63. Look at Street Art: If your city has lots of murals or street art, visit them all and take photos with them for fun!
64. Door Dash Together: Become a Door Dasher and Door Dash together for a fun date night. You can spend the evening talking in the car while making some extra cash!
Do you have any other free or cheap date night ideas you’d add to this list? Let’s hear!

We’re excited to roll out a brand new feature called What I Got Wednesday — where we share some of the best savings submitted to us by readers!

Check out the deal Katy scored on school books!
“When I went to order homeschool curriculum, I made sure to check eBay first. While I didn’t find everything I wanted there, I’m still glad I looked, because I found two of the complete course book sets that I needed! The Saxon math set usually sells new for $102.95. I paid $51.78, for a savings of $51.17! Then I found the complete language arts set I needed for my other child. While it usually sells for $102, I spent $50.67, saving me $51.33! Total I saved $102.11! That’s almost 50% savings! Just make sure to check that the books are complete and not written in before purchasing.”
We had a couple of other great submissions from readers who scored great deals. Check them out below!

Pam got a great deal on bamboo organizers:
“I got the deal on the bamboo organizers from Walmart. I paid $8.04 for a pack of two medium ones. Saved over $35!”

Vicki also got the deal on bamboo organizers:
“I had been looking for bamboo storage containers as I work to declutter and organize my home (with the help of Amber and Amanda, two amazing ladies who run an organizational company here in Phoenix). Imagine my glee when I saw the deal last week where two bamboo containers were $6.72. It seemed too good to be true. Nope. It’s true! My packages arrived today! Yes, packages plural. I bought eight sets.”
Thank you so much to these readers for sharing your savings with our community! How inspiring!!

Want to submit your savings for a chance to be featured? Simply go HERE and fill out the form! Each week, we’ll pick a few of the best submissions to be featured.
(And we might even throw in a fun little surprise for you if you’re picked! Free coffee, anyone?!)

Well, I tried something different this past week and it didn’t go so well. But now I know, right?
I wanted to get my groceries delivered on Friday and didn’t order until Thursday night. By then, all the grocery Kroger blue truck delivery slots were full and the only option was to get my groceries delivery via Instacart.
If you are new to Kroger Boost, you pay a one-time yearly fee (I got a deal and got it for $39) and then you get free delivery to your door for an entire year. Here’s what I’ve learned: some areas offer fulfillment by Kroger Delivery and some areas offer fulfillment by Instacart and some areas offer both.
If you have your order fulfilled by the Kroger delivery truck, tipping is not allowed AND you’ll get offered flash sales when you go to order (you can get up to 10 of each item and some of the flash sales are really good!)
If your order is fulfilled by Instacart, you don’t pay a delivery fee still, but you do want to leave a tip. And there are no flash sales offered.
I decided to go ahead and pay the tip (I did the suggested amount of $10) and forego the flash sales because I really wanted to have my order in hand by Friday. I figured paying someone $10 to do my shopping and deliver my groceries was a pretty good deal.
But I ended up not being a fan of the experience. For one, I missed the flash sales at checkout and I got less bang for my buck because of paying a tip. BUT, the biggest thing was that so many items I ordered didn’t arrive and were marked “out of stock”. I have never had this happen with the Kroger delivery truck. It felt like the Instacart shopper wasn’t familiar with the store or just didn’t know where to look. Because most of the items were basic things that I can’t imagine would be out of stock!
So word to the wise: use the Kroger delivery service AND make sure to order early enough in the week that they will still have delivery slots left for Friday (if you clip the 4x Fuel Points coupon and have a Kroger Boost membership, you’ll get 5x fuel points if your order is delivered on Friday!)

Scrambled Eggs, Strawberries (Jesse and Silas were at an out-of-town baseball game and Kaitlynn was working).

Sausage/Potatoes/Sweet Potatoes (I made it on the stove top as an experiment and it took longer and turned out mushier. I recommend just sticking with the slow cooker or making it on a sheet pan in the oven.)
Fend For Yourself Night (Kaitlynn and Silas were both gone, so Jesse had cereal, the little kids had a snacky dinner, and I think I had a sandwich.)
Chicken, Steamed Veggies, Tater Tots
Leftovers Marinated Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Homemade French Bread, Steamed Veggies

My sister, Gretchen, recommended this Homemade French Bread recipe to me and I was SO impressed with it. It was so easy to make and it turned out delicious!! I will definitely be making it again!

I was excited about the Tyson Chicken deal as we love that for quick meals. Unfortunately, I only received 2 bags and the other three I ordered were marked “out of stock”.

Cereal was on sale buy 2, get 3 free, which made for a pretty good deal.

Chicken breasts were Buy One, Get One Free and the deli meats were $3.49 per package.
All totaled, including tax and a $10 tip, my order was $118.27

This episode is a reminder to trust your God-given intuition. If you feel something is wrong or off, get it checked out.
In this podcast, we share the story of Micah getting really sick recently and how it ended up landing him in the hospital. We got so many questions from you all about his illness and how we knew when it was time to take him to the hospital/what we experienced, that I thought recording a podcast episode sharing in-depth might be helpful.
We’re so grateful that Micah is doing better now and fully back to his sweet, busy, silly self! We missed all his smiles and laughter and singing while he was sick!
In this episode, we also give an update on what we’re reading, share a reader’s response to last week’s episode, and we have a fun and friendly “argument” over audiobooks.
Powered by RedCircle
[0:35] – This week, we’re sharing about Micah’s recent sickness and hospital stay.
[1:27] – Jesse is still reading Three Felonies A Day by Harvey Silvergate and Alan M. Dershowitz because it’s a dense read.
[2:01] – I’ve been reading I Want God by Lisa Whittle.
[4:10] – I share a message from a listener about commentary in last episode about Farmer Boy.
[6:07] – Jesse and I have a friendly discussion about whether audiobooks count as “reading” and he shares about the John Grisham audiobooks he’s listened to recently, including Jake Brigance trilogy.
[8:45] – I had a very full weekend planned, including my last girls-only youth group camp and attending my friend’s wedding, but that all changed when Micah got sick.
[12:04] – We knew we needed to do something and ended up calling and asking about getting Zofran.
[14:01] – Micah’s symptoms persisted, prompting a pediatrician visit.
[18:39] – We ended up in the ER and it took many attempts plus two rounds of sedatives to finally get the IV in.
[24:31] – After hours of IV fluids in the ER, they ended up deciding to admit Micah as his labs didn’t look good.
[29:23] – I touch upon some of the lessons that were learned from this experience.

Are the rising costs of college tuition concerning you and your teens? Do you think piles of college debt are inevitable? Keep reading for a bunch of clever ways you might be able to shave thousands off your tuition bills!

Whenever I talk about Jesse going to law school debt-free, I find that people can’t fathom how this could be possible.
There’s a real belief out there that most college graduates will end up with lots of student loans — that this debt is “unavoidable.”
I wholeheartedly disagree!
With effort, research, and a can-do attitude, I’m confident you or your student can get a college degree with little to no debt at all.
Don’t believe me?
Here are just a few ideas to get you thinking (check the comments for a lot more suggestions and tips!)…
In most U.S. states, it is significantly less expensive to attend an in-state school versus an out-of-state school or private school.
There are also a variety of “state scholarships” you can qualify for if you attend a state school in your own state (with a certain GPA + SAT/ACT scores).
Tennessee has both TN Promise and TH Hope scholarships for these students — adding up to a few thousand dollars per semester! Other states have similar programs: Florida has Bright Futures, Georgia has the Hope Scholarship, etc.
Community colleges are a great way to get lots of general education credits out of the way before transferring to a 4-year college or university, and their cost per credit is much less expensive!
Just do your research to make sure the credits will transfer.
While you might miss out on some of the campus life activities, you’ll also “miss out” on a huge amount of debt!
Dorms are often very pricey, and our girls are each saving $10,000 – $12,000 per year by living off campus!!
Yes, there are two sides to every coin! ☺️
If you can find a scholarship that applies to room and board, there are lots of ways to save by living on campus.
For example, you don’t need to drive to and from the school each day, saving gas (and time). And — if your scholarship could be applied toward the meal plan — that would save you money on food as you wouldn’t need to buy many groceries.
There are SO many scholarships available these days — you just need to hunt for them.
One follower mentioned her daughter applied for several $500 scholarships. She got them since she was the only one who applied — and they all added up to big savings!
Yes, it takes some work, but it could pay off big-time (literally!).
Once you decide what school you will attend, find all the scholarships available and start applying.
You can often “stack” various scholarships (just like coupons!) for an even deeper discount.
Some followers mentioned that their kids got more scholarships than the cost of tuition and were able to use the overages to pay for room and board, meal plans, and even books!
Many high schools offer Advanced Placement (A.P.) and Dual Enrollment classes that count for college credit while the students are still in high school.
It’s not uncommon for high school seniors to graduate with 20 or more college credits that will then transfer to their college and provide an opportunity to graduate a semester or more early (saving TONS on tuition).
You might be surprised by what is considered “low income”, especially if you have multiple kids around college age at the same time. Be sure to fill out your FAFSA form, even if you don’t think you’ll qualify for financial aid.
Do a little research to figure out if you qualify for state funding or grants that could be applied to college tuition. These do not need to be paid back and are essentially the same as a scholarship.
Help your teens find part-time jobs during the school year (and especially during summer months) to save up money for college tuition.
It’s not unreasonable to challenge your high school and college students to save $5,000 – $10,000 per year to put towards tuition.
In most cases, they can still work part-time while keeping up with their school work and participating in extracurricular activities.
And speaking of teens finding part-time work, more and more companies are reimbursing college students for each credit they get while working for the company.
This is a great option for people working in a specific field who go back to get a Master’s or Doctorate, but there are also many entry-level jobs that will pay for a bachelor’s or associate’s degree.
Places like Chipotle, Walmart, Costco, Starbucks, Papa John’s, and Amazon offer reimbursement programs for full- and part-time employees.
Most colleges and universities offer free (or very reduced) room and board to students who would like to serve as an R.A. for their dorm floor.
This could shave off a huge portion of their overall tuition bill, teach valuable leadership skills, and provide ample opportunities for getting involved with campus life and other fun activities around campus.
Many colleges offer on-campus jobs for students — both during the year and over the summer.
One follower said that her child went to College of the Ozarks and got FREE tuition for working 15 hours per week (plus two 40-hour weeks) during the year!! They also have the option to work during the summer to pay for room and board.
Another follower mentioned that her husband got his Master’s degree completely free by first getting a job at the university he wanted to attend. The university offered free tuition that covered everything but books!
As you can see, there are so many ways to significantly reduce the rising cost of college tuition — you just have to get creative and be willing to do the research/work.
Remind yourself how thankful your “future self” will be without the burden of deep college debt. That should be motivation enough to keep pushing forward when you’re tired of all those scholarship applications!

We’re excited to roll out a brand new feature called What I Got Wednesday — where we share some of the best savings submitted to us by readers!

Check out the deal Tamara scored on trash bags!
“Recently Walmart has been pulling products off the shelves and marking them way down to move quickly. I couldn’t understand why until I saw the shelves where the products used to sit. Products include diapers, feminine hygiene, trash bags, etc. All name brands are changing quantities and raising prices. For example, tampons going are going up two dollars, yet four less in box. 🙁 I checked other stores and some were offering this online. I’ve gotten several great deals including Hefty bags for $5 and $3 a box! Some other brands were only $1.50 for scented!”
We had a couple of other great submissions from readers who scored great deals. Check them out below!
Stephanie grabbed these Kate Spade Crossbody Purses for a great price:
“I recently took advantage of the Kate Spade Leila Crossbody purse deal. It was an amazing price and the purse size is just what I’ve been looking for! The price was so great that I was able to buy 2 and give one away as a gift to my mother. I can’t wait to give it to her.”
Psst! You can currently get these purses for only $71.20 shipped!

Elizabeth got FREE peanut butter:
“This Jif Peanut Butter was part of a buy six get $1 off sale last week. It was also marked down to $1.99 so I got $1 off and had $1 coupon so it was free!”

Bonita took advantage of the Finish Rinse Aid deal:
“I purchased and saved money on the dishwasher Finish Jet Dry Rinse deal on Amazon.”
Psst! You can still get this amazing deal here.

Kristina got a FREE Olive Branch Tree:
“My favorite score ever was the free olive branch tree from Walmart after cash back from TopCashBack!!!”

Naomi’s son scored a hot deal on a toy:
“My nine year old son got a Walmart gift card for his birthday. When we went shopping, he found a toy he wanted. I noticed that a lot of toys were on clearance, but the toy he picked wasn’t. It was $55. I decided to scan the barcode on the Walmart app to see if maybe it was on sale online. It was $23.41! His gift card was $30, so he was very glad to be able to buy the toy. It was also a lesson in the cash value of a gift card. He gave me the gift card, and I gave him change for what he hadn’t used. We were both so happy he saved $31.59 on his toy!”
Thank you so much to these readers for sharing your savings with our community! How inspiring!!
