Tips & Tricks
Clip your Walgreens digital coupons before you shop — they disappear fast!

Always look for Register Rewards or Walgreens Cash offers that can make deals even sweeter.
Double-check sale dates — promotions can end or change quickly.
FAQs about Saving Money at Walgreens:
How do I find Walgreens weekly deals?
The weekly deals are advertised in the weekly fliers, distributed by email, and appear in your app. You can also pin and revisit this post because we update it with the best Walgreens deals each week!
How do I get started shopping Walgreens deals?
To start out, you would check your local ad or return to this post and find out what product you needed to buy that week, which would use a coupon and generate Walgreens Cash and/or a Register Reward for the purchase price you paid. Once you bought the item, you would receive the Walgreens Cash or Register Reward in your app or printed at the bottom of your receipt, which you could use like cash on your next transaction, thus making that item, in essence, “free.”
If you’re new to shopping Walgreens deals, our Walgreens 101 post outlines how to set up a Walgreens account and everything you need to know about weekly deals, coupons, Walgreens Cash, Register Rewards, and other ways to save.
What day does new Walgreens ad come out?
Walgreens’ weekly promotions go live on Sundays, but you can view the Weekly Ad Sneak Peek each Thursday at noon.

Guess what I did Monday and Tuesday? I recorded my audiobook! This was my fifth book to record (I skipped recording my third book and had my publisher hire a voice actor because I got such negative feedback on my voice in my first two book recordings that I was scared to record another book!)
I recorded at a new studio with a new producer and I wasn’t sure how I was going to like it, since I had the same producer with the last two books and loved her. Well, I ended up really loving the whole experience and having so much fun doing it!
I can’t wait for you to hear it – I laughed multiple times when recording and got emotional in other parts. This book is so personal for me as it shares so many stories from my childhood and from the early years of our marriage. I think you are going to love it! (It comes out September 15 but you can pre-order here.)
We had a baseball tournament in Knoxville Wednesday night through Sunday night, so Silas pressure-washed his jerseys to be clean and ready!
Silas’s team got to participate in a showcase at University of Tennessee on Thursday.
And then they got to play a game at the UT baseball stadium on Friday!
These three did SOO well for hours in the heat all 4 days! I was so proud of them — especially because their baseball friends didn’t get to come on this trip so they didn’t have the built-in entertainment that they usually do.
Watching them play together is just so heart-warming!
They had so many old books that we knew/loved/read as kids and teens!
We bought these books for the kids. Kierstyn was SO excited about the easy reading books to read them to Micah. And I’m excited about the devotional to read aloud to the kids!
This is Kierstyn and Micah reading the books together in bed that night!
We also went to The Spice & Tea Exchange — which is right up my alley!
I got some Raspberry Leaf Tea, some Nutty Chocolate Mate Tea, and some Chai Sugar.
I asked my followers on Instagram to share their top recommendations for places to go in Knoxville and Cruz Farms was the #1 recommended place!
We got 2 pints of ice cream to take home and it was delicious!
We also went to K.Brew in Knoxville and Micah and I were very excited about the hammocks!!
Do you bring a real mug with you in the car and live on the edge? I do often!
One of the baseball games this weekend was in Sweetwater, TN so we stopped by Tastee King to get some doughnuts. They were amazing!
This is TMI, but I thought it might help someone: My functional medicine doctor had me start drinking Red Raspberry Leaf tea and it’s made a big difference in my cycles! I genuinely couldn’t believe it!
I was having a lot of weird bleeding and spotting throughout the month. My OB wanted to put me on hormonal birth control to fix the issues but this tea has made a huge difference!!
For those who asked: I drink one cup daily — usually in the morning but sometimes at night if I forget to in the morning! — with honey and milk. During my period, I drink two cups. That’s it.
Truly, I cannot believe that such a simple thing has made such a difference for me in my cycles. And when I stopped doing it for awhile because I thought that probably I had just gotten better. Book, the bleeding came back!
If you want the link to the tea my doctor recommended, here’s the link.
By the way, this is just my experience. As always, do your own research. Also, it’s not recommended to drink red raspberry leaf tea if you are in the first two trimesters of pregnancy. (But it’s GREAT to drink in the last 6 weeks!)
Also, bonus perk: the ritual of making and drinking a cup of tea with honey and cream or milk is so calming to your nervous system!
I finally got my 10K race reel done and hope you’ll check it out!
One random day in March, my 21-year-old asked if I would run a 10k race with her on May 30. Mind you, I was not a runner and didn’t even know how long a 10k race was. But when your 21-year-old asks you to do something, you say yes — and then you figure out how to make it happen!
In saying yes, I entered a whole new world of running. From getting outfitted with new running shoes and socks and insoles at Fleet Feet Nashville to creating a training plan thanks to the Runna app (use code CRYSTAL2 to try it free for two weeks!) to learning all about proper fueling and breathing… I had no idea just how much it was going to change my life!
Not only did I run the full 10k and not stop, but I hit my goal of running it under 1:15 (just barely!) AND I LOVED it!!! In fact, I signed up for a half marathon in October that same weekend!!
I have more I’ll be sharing on this experience in the next few weeks as I’m reflecting on it, but for today I’ll say this: I always believed I wasn’t athletic and wasn’t a runner. I let that belief hold me back for years of my life.
I’m so grateful Kathrynne asked me to confront these long-held beliefs by saying yes to this 10k. Not only did I have so much fun, but y’all, I AM A RUNNER! I might not be fast and I likely won’t ever stand on a podium as a runner, but I AM A RUNNER! And that feels pretty stinkin’ cool to realize and own!
What is the thing you’ve always believed you aren’t good at or can’t do? Are you letting a negative belief hold you back when maybe it’s not even true at all?
Question: Can you share your full routine for resetting your nervous system?
Answer: It really started with three big things:
Recognizing that my days were packed so full i wasn’t leaving space to pay attention to how I was feeling and that I was living in constant fight mode.
Walking away from an abusive relationship. This one was huge and took enormous amounts of bravery that I didn’t know I possessed. And now I’ve been working on healing from years of impact that this had and how much I stifled myself and my voice because of it.
Cutting back from working 60+ hours a week to around 40. This involved lots of hyperventilating and worry and acknowledging how much my worth was in my work and how much I believed that the success of the business was due to how hard I worked.
Question: What have you done to work on resetting your nervous system?
Once I worked through those really huge things – and that took months! – I had more space to breathe and to pursue things that would slow my brain and my body down. I’ve been really intentional about prioritizing some of these things every day – things that aren’t “productive” but that feed my soul and help my brain to breathe. Things like: walking, reading fiction, running while listening to worship music, sleeping more, gardening, crocheting, puzzles, embroidery, shows like When Calls the Heart, etc.
The thing I’ve discovered is that by prioritizing these things, I’m so much calmer in my soul and body AND I’m living so much more rested and refreshed. Which actually means that I’m getting more done during my work time and I’m just enjoying life so much more!
Question: Are you planning to change your Oura ring to Oura5?
Answer: Considering I have a phone that is years old and refuse to upgrade until I absolutely have to, um no. I’m not an early adopter of anything except possibly things like social media. But electronics? Nope. If it ain’t broke, no need to replace it! Anyone else with me??
Question: Is Kathrynne living at home for the summer?
Answer: This is her first summer to stay in Murfreesboro. We miss her but are grateful she’s close so we usually see her almost every week – sometimes multiple times a week!
She’s working full-time for a state senator as his personal assistant and she is having such an amazing summer full of so many cool opportunities!
Question: What are the plans for schools for all your kids for the fall?
Kathrynne will be a senior at MTSU!
Kaitlynn finishes cosmetology school in September and will be likely working at a salon nearby after she graduates.
Silas will be a junior and is making a big switch in schools but we are SO excited for him and so that a spot opened at his dream school!
Kierstyn will be in first grade and Micah will be in pre-k again – they are staying at the little classical school they’ve been at.
And David will be starting Kindergarten (full day) at the same public school he’s been at the last three years for pre-k.
Jesse and I are so grateful we’ll be taking care of baby girl three days a week otherwise we are not sure what we’d do with an empty house!!
Question: Any advise for having two under two?
Answer: As someone who has had two under two multiple times (and two under one!), I can tell you that you will figure it out and you will become a pro at it!!
Give yourself six weeks to really adjust before you try to do anything but the very basic of basics. And then, have a super simple routine for your days. Get outside for a walk or go to the park to meet a friend or go to the library almost daily it was always good for me to get out of the house!). Do one load of laundry a day. Have dinner done in the morning. Do a quick pick up twice a day. And stick to the basic of basics.
There will be hard days. You will be stretched thin. But look to Jesus and cry out to Him for what you need. He is faithful!
Question: Was it working with the dietitian that got you started on your healing journey?
Yes!! My dietitian was really the first step in this whole journey for me. She challenged me to really start paying attention, prioritizing my health, and nourishing my body well. And she helped me connect a lot of dots about health things I hadn’t thought of before. It was because her that I first began realizing I was completely under-nourishing myself and it was causing quite a few health issues as a result.
I still can’t believe insurance pays for my sessions with her!! If you’d like more info on my health journey and the link to see if your insurance would cover a dietitian, read more about my health journey here.
This weekend, my run looked a little… different!
Since we were in Knoxville for the baseball tournament and we weren’t staying in the safest part of town (there was a literal dog fight on our street while we were there!), I got creative and went for a run around our AirBnB fenced backyard.
3.5 miles in circles! 🤣 This picture from Strava of my “run” makes me laugh so much!
I had to go slowly so I didn’t get hurt but, hey, I got my run in! You do what you gotta do in less than ideal circumstances!
Some days, we live as though it all depends upon us. As in, if we make a mistake or miss the mark, the world is going to fall apart.
This produces fear, worry, shame, guilt, over-analyzing, and stress.
Because we’ll never be enough or do enough in our own strength — and we don’t have to!
Jesus came to set us free from needing to live in our own strength, wholly dependent upon our own works and effort. In Him, we can do all things. Through Him, we are more than conquerors.
I’m so grateful it doesn’t all depend upon me and my effort. I’m so thankful I don’t have to do life all on my own.
Thank You, Jesus, that in my weakness, You are strong. And when I don’t have what it takes, You do and You can empower and enable me to do everything You have called me to do. Through You and Your strength! ❤️

I ordered this and was very impressed with what I got for just $3!
The razor seems to be really high quality and I loved the rubberized handle (it’s fun that you get to choose the color!)
I chose the orange-handled razor although I’m not really sure why. I think if I were to do it again, I would choose blue.

Harry’s Reviews
Hesitant about Harry’s? Check out this rave review from a reader:
“I’ve been using Harry’s since this past December and I must say that their products and customer service are GREAT! I also took them up on their mystery product and ALWAYS get an item much more valuable than what they charge.
I received the BEST customer service email that I have ever received from ANY company that I’ve done business with. I was so pleased that I emailed them back to thank them for such a nice, friendly email and they replied-pronto!
AND their blades are really nice! I get auto shipping every 3 months, but these blades start sharp and stay sharp for much longer than those I used to buy in stores.
As a disabled ARMY veteran I chose the OD Green color razor, which too, is a wonderful product. The weight of the razor makes shaving so much more enjoyable and effective.
I really think that you’ll enjoy these products!”
Harry’s Razors Has More Than Just Razors!
They sell hair care, body care, face care, deodorant, and a whole bunch of accessories.
Harry’s can literally be a one-stop shop for all your personal care products!
Harry’s Razors Free Trial FAQs
Are Harry’s razors worth it?
That depends on your own personal preference! Cost-wise, they are definitely less expensive than almost any other razor. However, you’ll most likely need to try it out to determine if you like them or not… which is why this starter offer is so popular!
Why does Harry’s Razors say not for head shaving?
Head shaving is different since there are more curved angles, and the skin is a different texture than on your face. Harry’s blades are optimized for your face, not your head.
How many shaves does a Harry’s razor last?
The lifespan of the blades will vary based on your hair type, shave schedule, and blade care habits. On average, most folks like to replace the blades every 4-6 weeks, or simply once they become dull.
Is Harry’s as good as Gillette?
The consensus on the internet seems to be that Gillette blades last longer but not long enough to justify their significantly higher price tag! Harry’s razors are very comparable to other leading brands of men’s razors.
Is Harry’s trial just for men?
No, there are many women who also use Harry’s razors!
How to Get This Harry’s Razors Trial Deal:
Just go HERE and click on the “redeem trial” button.

Looking for a free dietitian online or online nutritionist consultation covered by insurance? I have been LOVING my Nourish dietitian and this is my completely honest review! Truly — it’s been life-changing for me!
This One Small Step Has Been Transforming My Health (and It’s Covered by Insurance!)
Are you wanting to make healthy changes in your diet but don’t know where to start? Struggling to hit your health goals or feeling overwhelmed by trying to stay on track?
In the summer of 2025, I made a decision that I honestly didn’t expect to have such a big impact.I signed up to meet with a Nourish dietitian.
Not because I had a big health goal or some drastic change in mind, but because I was feeling a little stuck. I had been working out more, trying to be mindful of what I was eating, and wanting to better support my body through this full season of life.
Honestly, I expected to get a few helpful tips on calories and macros. I didn’t expect it to shift so much of how I view my body, my energy, my relationship with food, and even how I approach rest and recovery.
But it has. And I’m so grateful. Let me tell you more about my honest experience with Nourish…
What Is Nourish?
Nourish is a virtual platform that connects you with an online registered dietitian — someone trained to help you with everything from emotional eating and hormone health to energy levels and gut issues — all from the comfort of your own home.
Instead of handing you a one-size-fits-all meal plan or a strict list of foods to avoid, your Nourish online dietitian walks with you step-by-step. They listen to your goals. They help you build habits. They offer insight on how nutrition, sleep, stress, and movement work together. And they empower you to nourish your body well — without shame, restriction, or overwhelm.
My Completely Honest (+ Very Vulnerable) Nourish Dietitian Review
To be honest, I was hesitant at first. I wasn’t sure I needed an online nutritionist consultation. I wondered if my health goals were “big enough” or if it would be worth the time.
But I also knew I wanted to take better care of myself. I felt a little foggy some days. I wanted accountability and clarity, and deep down, I wondered if I was giving my body what it needed to thrive.
She helped me understand how the stress and depletion of the last few years — pregnancies, nursing, fostering, adopting a child with disabilities, caregiving, running a business, and raising six kids — had left me running on fumes. She walked me through how under-eating and under-sleeping were actually slowing down my metabolism and affecting my mood and hormones.
She didn’t guilt me. She didn’t overwhelm me. She encouraged me and gave me clear, simple steps I could take that very week.
What I’m Learning from My Nourish Dietician
Every session has been eye-opening. Not because of some radical overhaul… but because of how freeing and healing it’s been to undo old beliefs.
Identify and challenge long-held beliefs about food and weight.
Realize how often I’ve equated worth with a number on the scale.
Shift from restriction to nourishment.
Take baby steps toward what she calls “food freedom” — where food supports your life, not controls it.
It’s emotional work, too. But so, so worth it.
Finding Food Freedom
After I started eating more (at the encouragement of my dietitian), I discovered that it was a big struggle for me. I realized I had a lot of fear around food and had put a lot of stock into what the scale said. My joy or frustration for the day and how I felt about myself was often very tied to whatever number the scale showed that day.
One of the big things my virtual dietitian encouraged me to do was to stop weighing myself. This was scary — but it ended up being SO freeing!! It took awhile to get used to, but once I did, I began to feel a whole new world open up for me!
I discovered that I had spent years trapped in a cycle of so much food noise in my head — constantly analyzing calories, pushing myself to exercise more, thinking I needed to lose weight, chasing skinny, mentally beating myself up if I didn’t follow the diet plan I had come up with for myself. I did all of this under the guise of self-discipline when it actually was dysfunctional!
I am slowly finding such freedom when it comes to food. My brain feels much quieter around food and it feels weird but also so amazing!! I love that I can find joy in food and eating without needing to constantly analyze, stress, or feel like I’m not where I need to be.
I’m chasing strong not skinny, nourishing myself not a number on the scale — and it’s been incredible!
Taking My Wellness Even Further
Recently, my dietician has been challenging me with practical ways to prioritize more sleep and to prioritize play. She’s having me try out better bedtime routines and try out different hobbies. It has been so good for my soul… and I feel like meeting with her is therapy for my whole self!
I’m also SO excited because Nourish is now offering lab work as part of their program and it’s covered by insurance for most people, as well! So just like you can hire a dietitian through Nourish and most insurance companies will pay for it, you can also now have lab work done as part of the program and it’s $0 cost to you if your insurance covers it!
The Nourish Lab panel checks the most important data for your metabolic and heart health — cholesterol, blood sugar (A1C), kidney function, electrolytes, and thyroid hormones. This is all so helpful because this data enables you and your dietician to make more informed decisions as you collaborate to improve your diet and health, and it provides another way to measure your progress. These labs are done at a Quest Diagnostics location near you and are fully covered every 3 months at no cost to you, providing up to $200 per year in value.
I had a metabolic panel done and it was so easy to do, the results came quickly, and my dietitian went over it with me. Best of all, it was entirely covered by insurance!
Making the Most of Your Free Dietitian Online
If you decide to sign up (which I highly recommend if you’re curious!), here are a few tips to make the most of your online nutritionist consultation:
Track your eating, movement, and sleep for a few days ahead of your first call (I used MyFitnessPal and my Oura ring).
Bring questions or struggles you want help with — even small things like “I snack all day and feel tired after lunch.”
Share your health history (I even brought my bloodwork to our second session!).
Be honest and open — this isn’t about perfection, it’s about progress.
How Much Does a Session Cost with a Nourish Dietitian?
If you’re wondering what a Nourish session might cost, here’s the exciting news: 94% of users pay $0 out of pocket when they use insurance!
That’s right! You have a very good chance of being able to meet with a free dietitian online — right from the comfort of your own home. How cool is that?!
I have been sharing about Nourish for the past few months or so as I have been using it and benefiting from it. Here’s what one my my readers had to say about their experience after giving it a try:
“I tried Nourish because of you and it has helped me SO MUCH!! I’m overweight and I’ve never had anyone teach me how I’m supposed to eat to be healthy and fuel my body, until now…and I’m 45 years old. Any my insurance has been paying 100%!!! Thank you for sharing. It’s been life changing for me too. I’m so thankful.”
That said, every insurance plan is a little different — some may have a small copay or coinsurance — but Nourish does everything they can to keep your costs low and offers a simple insurance coverage calculator to help you know what to expect ahead of time.
Here’s what you need to know:
Most people pay nothing. Yes, really! The majority of users don’t pay anything out of pocket because Nourish is in-network with hundreds of insurance plans across all 50 states.
You can check your coverage easily. Nourish makes it super simple to verify your insurance and see if there may be any copays or fees.
No surprise bills. What your insurance says is what you’ll pay — no hidden costs or unexpected fees. All appointments are backed by the Nourish Guarantee to provide a no-surprise billing experience! Note: One of my followers was told that her insurance would cover Nourish and then that ended up not being the case. Nourish zeroed out her balance and didn’t charge her anything for the two sessions she had because of their Nourish Guarantee.
Paying out of pocket? If your insurance doesn’t cover sessions, the self-pay rate is $145 per session — and you’ll know that up front.
Why I Recommend It
If you’re:
Feeling stuck with your health goals
Battling low energy or brain fog
Walking through a tough postpartum season
Wanting to build a better relationship with food
Or simply needing some gentle accountability…
I highly recommend checking out Nourish. This is one of the most grace-filled, personalized things I’ve done for myself in a long time.
What Others Are Saying
As you can see, I’ve really enjoyed Nourish but you don’t have to just take my word for it! Here are some messages and feedback I’ve received on social media and email from those who tried Nourish for themselves and shared the experience:
If it does, you’ll get access to a caring, credentialed online dietitian covered by insurance who will walk with you, encourage you, and help you create a life that feels vibrant, nourished, and whole.
