Thanks for sharing your grocery haul. I always enjoy them! Off topic question.. How do you keep your white couch clean with kids? Just curious!
I’m in love with my white IKEA couches! We paid $700 total for 2 regular-size, brand new couches 9 years ago. They still look brand-new in my opinion. Every single piece of fabric on the couch can be removed, bleached and thrown in the washer/dryer. They are basically glorified slip-covers that are tailor-made for this specific couch (they fit perfectly and don’t look like slip covers).
The best part is that when we bought them, IKEA offered a BUNCH of different “slip covers” that you could buy at $40 each in all different colors. I promised my husband that if the white was too hard to keep clean, we would switch to a different color. However, we are still using the originals and they are showing ZERO signs of wear and tear.
We spill things often, and I just take off the cover for that stained pillow or cushion and throw it in the laundry.
Honestly, after having four children – I never want a couch that can’t be thrown in the laundry, haha!! The thought of couches that can’t be laundered now grosses me out. 🙂
I don’t know if IKEA still offers something similar, but it’s been one of our best, frugal purchases to date.
Oh, wow. That was a great deal! Even better that the slip covers can be washed! Having a couch for 9 years and going strong is awesome! Thanks for sharing!
So where did she get the ground venison?
My husband and oldest son are avid hunters. They normally get 4-5 deer every hunting season, so venison is a big part of our diet.
