I used to do a menu plan regularly and then got out of the habit. I just started it back up about a month ago and it’s saving us!

This is my first weeks menu, not to exciting. I’ll get the process down and not wait until Monday to make the menu out and actually be prepared. I was excited to get started so thought I would make one up for the rest of the week.

I am so thankful for the inspiration found here to actually plan out a week’s worth of meal’s at a time–plus, I recently found freezer cooking so my weekly planning has been a breeze!
Yummy menu! Here’s what we have going on this week 🙂

I’m also working on your freezer cooking plans from week 2 this week!
I really need to make those ham & cheese pockets. I hav a ham in the freezer that I should roast and then use some of the left overs for those delicious looking pockets.

Those waffle sandwiches look amazing! I am on a cleanse so my menu plan is over the top healthy this week. http://www.lcvalleymom.com/2012/05/this-weeks-menu.html
I have my menu done for this week. I am trying just planning one week at a time instead of my usual month long plan. It is really hard for me only planning one week at a time.
Here is my plan for this week: http://www.frugalfamilyhome.com/food/menu/menu-for-the-week-of-513
Those Ham and Cheese Pockets do look good. I need to get some of those in the freezer.

I especially love your breakfast and lunch ideas…those are always the hardest things for me to plan. Especially those busy days when we are running hither thither…it’s so easy to stop for something…sounds like I need to make a big batch of those frozen PB&Js!
Here is our weekly menu along with a cost per serving analysis of our dinners.

I love this post! This is such an encouragement to read what other people are eating at home! We live in a very high income area and I usually feel so out of it because so many people are eating out so much! I do love to cook but I also love to eat out! You will never know what a help an encouragement your blog is to me and many others! 🙂 love and blessings to you! 🙂
Thanks so much for your kind encouragement!
I’ve been slacking off on my meal plan lately, but I’m trying to follow it again. I’ve finished it through Saturday: http://slackersaver.com/meal-plan
Our food allergy meal plan for this week. All meals are free of wheat, dairy, soy, egg, peanut, corn, turkey, & mango.
I’ve also included a link to Campfire Cones that are an amazingly tasty and easy treat for kids & parents alike.

Just shared your blog with a friend who is soy, dairy, corn, and wheat free. Thank you!
Thanks for your menu plan- I’m often inspired seeing what other people are making.
I’m lacking discipline today but finally figured out my menu plan for the week.

It’s not too exciting, but I’m trying to get back on the menu plan bandwagon. I had done one for years and then suddenly didn’t do one for all of April. Now I’m back!
I always get so much inspiration reading people’s menus…wish I would try new things more often!
Here’s our plan:

I just posted our menu for this week too! 🙂
Aw man! Just as I was reprimanding myself for eating too much pie yesterday, I see your menu with chocolate waffle ice cream sandwiches 🙂 Which I now think I should make asap! Love your cinnamon roll biscuits, too, btw.

The chocolate waffle ice cream sandwiches are addictive… ask me how I know. 🙂
HA! I’m sure I’ll be an addict along with you soon enough. My bathing suit will not be thanking me. 😉 I’m pretending it isn’t nearly summer.
I have mine all done. YAY! I am finally able to keep up. http://mixingwithmichelle.blogspot.com/2012/05/may-14-20-menu-monday.html
Crystal, I’m curious if you guys are still doing gluten and/or dairy free?
No, we aren’t — at least at the present. Our child is in the midst of allergy testing and, once we have the results of that testing, we’ll be deciding upon our next course of action.
OK Thanks. We are gluten free so I was wondering how you were making all these to be GF 🙂
We recently went through allergy testing on our son…no more peanuts at our house. Hope you get the results/answers to help make your child more healthy!
Here’s what we’re having!

And I love how you just pinch off small portions of the dough to roll it out for the pizza/ham&cheese pockets. I had been cutting them into circles. Much more complicated! I’m definitely doing it your way next time! 🙂
Someone suggested rolling it out into one big rectangle and then using a pizza cutter to cut into smaller rectangles. That might also work, too.
I’ve done that too, which was easier than using a biscuit cutter or big jar lid to cut circles for sure! But I still think your way of just pinching off smaller portions will be even better. No re-kneading and re-rolling over and over again.
