It’s been gorgeous weather here in the South the past week! I ended up not making several of the meals on my menu plan last week so that we could grill out. In January.
With this being only my second winter here, and having spent the previous 6 winters in Detroit – this still blows my mind. I love it! This wasn’t an amazing grocery week as far as the sales went, but I did stockpile chicken and bread. And I jumped way out of my comfort zone and bought toilet paper at Aldi. 🙂

Great post! I just posted my weekly plan as well, where I spent $29.63 on my Weekly Menu & Spend $44.16 for $206.71 Worth of Groceries on my weekly Stockpile Shopping Trip! http://theladyprefers2save.com/?p=11001
Don’t despair, Gretchen – I’ve too “broken down” and bought the Aldi TP. My daughter has actually requested we buy it again but I’ve yet to see it at our local store (it was the “Panda” brand). Definitely better than Scotts or most store brands and, if I remember right, was thicker than Angel Soft.
I thought everyone got the same CheckOut51 rebates…. 🙁
It looks like Aldi prices really vary by ŕegion, too. Cauliflower was 99 cents a head here so I bought 4 heads.
I WISH they would have been that cheap here! That’s a fantastic price – I would have stocked up too!
I was wondering how you got the rebate on Checkout 51 on the eggs? I didn’t see that offer on there.
I think they vary regionally. The only one she used above that I had was bananas. Eggs & strawberries would’ve been awesome.
I guess they do vary. I didn’t realize that until recently. Sorry you didn’t get the same. 🙁
We have bought toilet paper at Aldi several times and it’s not bad. I also buy tissue paper there and sometimes paper towels.
I have had kale once or twice but have never been blown away by it. I would love to see a recipe.
