We have been posting Zulily deals on our site for close to a decade, so we are super saddened to see that yet another one of our favorite online retailers went out of business this year. We wanted you to know as soon as we had official word.
Zulily has officially closed
Zulily — another site we’ve regularly shared deals from over the years — has officially closed their business.
We received word through rumors about a month ago that Zulily might be winding down business by the end of the year. We are very committed to doing all we can to protect you and make sure the deals we post are legitimate, so out of precaution, we stopped posting Zulily deals immediately after we heard just to be on the safe side. But we wanted to wait until we heard something official before announcing the actual business closure.
As of last week, Zulily has officially shut down all operations and announced it on their site. They have entered a liquidation phase known as “An Assignment for the Benefit of Creators” — also known as ABC. It is an alternative to traditional bankruptcy. You can read more about it here.
What this means for Zulily customers
Thankfully, though it was still pretty sudden, Zulily didn’t just go dark without any explanation the way Jane did. They do outline some guidelines for customers on what to do about various orders, credits, and refunds:
- If you placed an order with Zulily and it has already shipped, you will still receive the item.
- If you placed an order with Zulily that has not yet shipped, you won’t receive the item. Your order will be canceled and you’ll receive a refund.
- If you placed an order and don’t receive it by January 22, 2024, it has most likely already been canceled and refunded — so be sure to check your bank account to make sure you received your refund.
- If you did not receive a refund, you’ll want to submit a claim through Zulily’s claims agent. You can find more info on how to do that HERE.
- Likewise, if you had any unused gift cards or credit, you can submit a claim for the lost funds to hopefully get reimbursed the money.
- The deadline to file all claims is June 14, 2024.
While there is no guarantee you’ll receive a refund or your credits/money, we’re holding out hope that Zulily plans to keep their word and follow through with what their website states on how to file claims and receive your money back.
We are so sorry to have to post this announcement. If you have any additional information, please let us know in the comments.
Had been holding out hope the door to report a credit refund would be operational… still getting the zulilly “coming soon” dead end. Really disappointing to have lost that much in credits.
Hoping the takeover company will make some good will effort!
I’ve had ordered a shirt which never got delivered to my house but got charged for it and also for upcoming orders which never got processed due to the shut down!
I used to like zulily a lot and got quite a few things over the years, but very disappointing that the company didn’t get ce its customers a chance to either receive their last orders or got reimbursed for it. Instead they took the money and run and no merchandise for the customers!
The supposed link to report the refund is s also not available!
To whom this may concern
I had a lot of credit on Zulily because of tops I had returned, and any link on now, even at the top of this page, just says “Zulily coming soon”. I can’t do anything with that. I did however print out proof of my returns and how much credit I was do, what do I do now … ?
Thank you
Valerie Thompson
Unfortunately I am not sure there is anything else you can do at the moment. Zulily has been bought when they went into bankruptcy and is slated to reopen this summer under their new ownership. You may have to wait until they reopen to see how they are handling old credits. I wish there was more that I could do to help! -Jordan, MSM Team
Just checking if you were able to Figure out how to get any of the Store credit back as I am in the same situation for over $200 + ughh. I was hoping someone was taking them over and would make good on customer accounts.
The website no longer works and I have no way of pursuing my credit! So disappointing. Rather quick to completely shut down the site and everything. 03.15.2024
There is a link in the post above about where you can submit a claim. Be sure to do so before June 14th! I hope this helps! -Jordan, MSM Team
I order a lot of gifts for Christmas .I had 4 items that I needed to return and I’m not able to apply for a label since the site closed down before Christmas.I know there are many others in this same situation especially if you were a regular customer. How can I get a return label and my money back!?
I had almost $200 in credited previously purchased /returned merchandise. In order to obtain proof, I would have to log in to my account. However, I am not able to access because the website/app has been shut down.
Any advise as to how to move forward. I can’t be the only person in this predicament
You can go here: https://www.zulily.com/password and follow the instructions to file a claim. Other than that I don’t know how to direct you. I am sorry I couldn’t be of more help! -Jordan, MSM Team
I have the same issue!!!! Grrrr!!!!
I have the same issue. I have a credit, not sure how much, therefore I cannot file a claim. Very frustrating as a loyal customer.
How can I ensure all my information-account has been deleted or closed? What is being done about my CC information?
You can click here to see the guidelines that have been posted regarding credits and refunds. There may be some useful information for you. I’m sorry i couldn’t be more help! -Jordan, MSM Team
Hi, I had a credit balance on my account. How do I file a claim? Can’t get on the site.
There is a link in the article above with information on where to file a claim. I hope that helps! -Jordan, MSM Team
You posted a Black Friday deal from them on some Sorel boots. I took advantage of that. It took quite a while to get it shipped but they did arrive and they were great! Thanks for the deal! Bummed they went out of business.
We are too! They were a great company to work with and had amazing deals! -Jordan, MSM Team
Just wondering how to pay the Zulily credit card if I can’t even get into the website.
I would look on the card or the card statement for the bank that manages the card. You could contact them for information regarding payment. I hope that helps! -Jordan, MSM Team
I am so disappointed, I have followed and have been a regular customer to this site for many years. 😞 I do wish them the best.
It is very sad. They were a great company to partner with. They offered so many amazing deals for our readers! -Jordan, MSM Team
I really, really appreciate how careful you all are in vetting businesses before you recommend them!
I’ve been wanting to let you all know that a few days ago, I received my Jane order I submitted in early December! It was a sweatshirt, and I was shocked and delighted to get it. Sure hope other people are having the same experience.
Yay!! We’re so happy to here of the successes in the midst of some of these companies closing! -Jordan, MSM Team
