This post is not meant to be alarmist, but rather to serve our readers well through complete honesty and transparency. We have been posting Jane deals on our site for close to a decade, so this comes as a complete shock to us.
What is going on with Jane.com?
We got word today that Jane.com — a site that we have promoted and partnered with closely for years — has unexpectedly shut down without notice or warning.
They went dark on Friday without telling anybody — their affiliates, customers, employees, or marketplace sellers — what happened. As affiliates, we received a couple emails telling us that the Jane site was “down for maintenance” which seemed strange leading up to Black Friday week, but we didn’t think much of it.
Today (Monday), we got word from a reader and a seller on Jane that they had unexpectedly shut down.
When we reached out to Jane directly for transparency on what is going on, they would not give us any information at all and avoided our questions.
If you have any firsthand information or are a seller, please let us know as we’re trying to get to the bottom of things and confirm what’s going on.
How this affects you as our reader (and what to do)
If you have purchased any Jane deals through our site recently and haven’t received your orders yet, you will most likely NOT be receiving them.
From what little we know and have been able to research online, they have left thousands of orders unfulfilled with no intention of shipping them out. The sellers on Jane who provide their beautiful handmade items to be featured on the marketplace were left in the dark and are owed thousands and thousands of unpaid earnings for their sales.
Therefore, we recommend that you open a dispute with your bank/credit card company and report fraudulent charges so that you can get your money back.
They have been reported to the police and an investigation has been open. This is a developing story and very little is known, but you can read this article for more information.

There is information contact information for the Police Department currently investigating this in the news article attached. You could contact them if you feel like you purchased a service that wasn’t rendered. Being that Jane has shuttered their business I don’t believe there is anything you can do. It is possible someone you know may have mailed a gift directly to you.
You can check the package for information on the seller. Jane is similar to Etsy and sells from independent creators. You could then contact the actual creator and see if there is anyway to go about returning the product. I am sorry I couldn’t be of more help! -Jordan, MSM Team

If you have old emails in your trash or saved in your email you may be able to find the name of the seller on there and look them up on Etsy or Shopify it they have a store there. I hope that helps! -Jordan, MSM Team

If you have tracking information for them you can see if they are still in transit. Other wise I would contact your method of payment and cancel payment as soon as possible for the product not being delivered. In the news article attached in the post there is a Police Department you can contact about not receiving payment. This will include your claim in the investigation. Unfortunately, there is no way to see what didn’t ship. You can search your email for any orders you placed that you didn’t receive and reach out to the sellers directly. Also, most of the Jane sellers are reaching out via email to their customers, so check your email to see if you received any communication! Unfortunately we can’t be sure. If you have shipping and tracking information they likely will as that usually indicates they are already in the hands of third party shippers, like USPS, FedEx, or UPS. We have been a seller since 2014. We are shocked how it went down all of a sudden. We have shipped so many order and have not been paid yet.
