Two things I start every day with:
1) making a good cup of coffee with lots of half & half in one of my favorite mugs
2) lighting a yummy-smelling candle.
These two things are morning rituals that I absolutely love. They quiet my heart, they put a smile on my face, and they get my day started off on a good foot.
(It’s Day 21 of the Go to Bed Early Challenge and I actually got to bed on time last night — yay!! And then I woke up at 5:30 am without an alarm!)
What are simple things you do most mornings to start your day well?

Since taking your Make Over Your Morning course last May, I have added these two morning rituals to my routine as well and in the summer months I do iced coffee that I make in the coffee press the night before and keep in a pitcher in the fridge! Some mornings I am able to start my devotionals and gratitude prayer and some mornings I snap right into the Mommy getting the child ready for school mode… It all depends if I went to bed on time and did my evening routine the night before! I think I need to retake your course for a refresher 🙂

I don’t drink coffee, but I like that you have a ritual like that. I also love the idea of a candle. Presently, I get up and exercise if it’s the day I do that and then start reading my Bible.

I also love a good cup of coffee with a yummy vanilla creamer and settling in on the couch with the fireplace on (and my morning time basket- Bible, journals and book I am currently reading)…I like the candle idea…as it gets warmer out I think the fireplace might have to stay off and a candle might be a good alternative 😉

I have the same two rituals – a good cup of coffee with cream and a lit candle. I then settle into a comfy chair next to the window where I can enjoy the view and read my Bible.

I take a walk outside and I absolutely love it, especially when I get to see an amazing sunrise. Lifts my spirits every time!

I like the idea of lighting a candle! I never would have thought to do that in morning. Definitely have the coffee thing down though 🙂

My day starts at 4:45, My hubby and I wake up at the same time and he brings me coffee to my bedside table and I read my devotions before I take a shower and get ready for the day. I also listen to my favorite Christian radio station as I get ready. I’ve been doing this for many years! Great way to start the day! The kids are up by 6:00ish and then they have breakfast and we are out the door by 7:15.

I love The idea of lighting a candle first thing in the morning! Usually I start my day by making my bed (so I won’t be tempted to return for “just a few more minutes”). Then I enjoy a good cup of coffee and my Bible study.

If I can and I wake up before my alarm I like to spend 5 minutes intentionally cuddling up to my hubby before getting out of bed. It puts me in a “I am loved” mood.

Pre-kids, my husband and I always cuddled, too. It’s such a great way to wake up! Sometimes we now snuggle as a family, but we need to start doing that again. Thanks for the reminder!
