Pre-teens can be kind of difficult to buy for! But this list of gifts for tweens will give you lots of fun and budget-friendly ideas to pick from!
These are Kaitlynn’s favorite picks! (But many of these would probably work for boys OR girls!)
1. Bath & Body Works Fragrance Spray — My girls love these. They have so many different scents and Bath & Body Works is often offering fantastic deals — especially if you buy multiples. Sign up for their email list to be notified of when their best sales are.
2. Bath Bombs — You can make your own or purchase an inexpensive set from Amazon. {These would make a great stocking stuffer gift, too, if you have multiple tween girls to buy gifts for. You could put one or two in cute little bags with a ribbon.}
3. Scrunchies — You’ve probably heard that scrunchies are back in style and our girls can’t get enough of them! Again, these would make fun stocking stuffers or you could get an entire set for the girl who loves to wear lots of different colors! {Psst! It’s pretty easy to sew scrunchies if you have basic sewing skills.}
4. Letterboard — These are such a great way to display a tween girls’ personality and originality. Best of all, Letterboards now come in many different colors and styles.
5. PopSocket — The girls cannot figure out how I manage to have a phone without a PopSocket on it. Just call me old-fashioned! They adore PopSockets and there are so many cute and fun ones to choose from. This one is a favorite of Kaitlynn’s.
6. Craft Kits — Most tween girls love creating, so a craft kit is usually the perfect idea and something they’ll spend hours enjoying. Plus, if it’s something they can display in their room or wear after they make it, they’ll get even more fulfillment from it!
7. Twinkle Lights — You just can’t go wrong with Twinkle Lights — and there are so many fun uses for them. Kaitlynn is often rearranging her room and coming up with some new way to display her twinkle lights!

8. Nerf Toys — When I asked Silas to help me put together some gift ideas for tween boys, he literally picked out 7 different Nerf Toys to include on the list! 9. Sports Pillow — Silas has a football pillow he got a few years ago that he still uses as room decor — and to sleep with. In fact, he brings it on every trip! There are pillows for just about every team under the sun.
10. LEGO Kits — There are SO many different LEGO kits to choose from and there’s practically something for everyone. This LEGO Photography Activity Kit is a fun twist — turning your LEGO scenes into creative tricks and illusions you can capture with any camera.
11. 3D Maze Game — These are so much fun, not just for boys, but for adults, too! If you have a son who loves to solve puzzles or be challenged, this might be a great gift idea!

This warm, creamy chicken alfredo soup pairs perfectly with the easiest biscuits ever, which are made with only 4 ingredients. Your whole family will enjoy this cozy, comforting dinner and you’ll love that it takes under 30 minutes and under $10 to make!
This post is part of our $10 Dinner Ideas series, brought to you by Brigette on our team! Each week, she will be sharing easy, delicious, and affordable family-friendly dinner ideas that cost less than $10 to make, use everyday ingredients, and are super quick meals.
Both of these menu items were inspired by items I got free with coupons! The fettucini noodles were a money maker at Publix this past week, and the biscuits are my favorite way to use up free mayonnaise that I get at Publix every few months. Believe it or not, my family refuses to eat mayonnaise in it’s natural state! So I have to come up with creative ways to use it anyway. And, just in case you are wondering, NO, you cannot taste the mayonnaise in these biscuits at all (if you could, my family would refuse to eat them!).
The soup is SO yummy, creamy, and filling. Best of all, it is so super easy! I adapted this recipe to make it even easier and faster (and less expensive too). It’s a nice change-up from regular ol’ chicken noodle soup, and it is easily done in less than 30 minutes.
The biscuits are literally THE easiest, fastest biscuits you will ever make. They only take four ingredients, and I can have them baking in the oven in about 5 minutes (plus, they completely skip the “cutting in the butter” step, which is just about my least favorite thing to do in the kitchen).

*I am listing the prices I got these items with coupons – if you follow my grocery posts, you can see how I used coupons and rebates to get these prices. Even if you don’t use coupons or shop at the same stores I shop at, you should still be able to make these recipes for $10 or less as I’ve allowed plenty of wiggle-room in the budget!
1. Melt 3 tablespoons butter in a large pot. Finely chop the onion and garlic cloves and saute in the butter until tender.
2. Stir in the 6 tablespoons flour. Gradually whisk in the 6 cups chicken broth, 1 cup of heavy cream, 1 teaspoon salt, plus an additional 2 cups water and stir and heat over medium heat until thickened.
3. Add in the package of frozen broccoli and 9oz of fettucine and cook until tender (note: you will have to look at suggested boiling times on both the pasta and the broccoli packages and adjust when you put them in the pot depending on how long they are supposed to cook. The Buitoni brand of fettucini that I used only had to cook for 2 minutes, so I added it after the broccoli had already boiled for a couple of minutes).
4. Stir in the cooked chopped chicken, 1/2 cup parmesan cheese and 1 T lemon juice. Remove from heat. Add italian seasoning (or fresh parsley) and salt and pepper to taste.
1. Follow the recipe here. I did the recipe exactly as written, but took all of the ingredients times 1 1/2 to make 18 biscuits.
2. Serve warm with butter and honey alongside the soup!
