How is the meat at Aldi? I am very picky about my meat! I have gotten bad meat one too many times! I have only bought my meat from meijer for the past 5 years and I am scared to try anything else in fear of getting sick. What have been your experiences?
Thanks for the link to the egg roll in a bowl recipe. I too had cabbage to use up and that recipe was a hit with the entire family.
Your shopping trips are so awesome! I always learn something from your posts. You do an outstanding job of combining your market, discount shops, farmers market..etc and stacking coupons alongside earning cash back from Ibotta, Checkout 51 and the likes. You have quite an art for this! You inspire me to try to do some of that. Job well done! Thank you.
The link to the baked spaghetti isn’t working. 🙁
You might want to try purchasing the 1lb. rolls of the ground turkey at Save-A-Lot, as they are $1.00 a roll, everyday priced.
Great job. I really didn’t need much this week, but we had a new store come to our town, Food Depot. They actually had Boston butts for $0.95 per/lb. The sale carried over from last week so we bought 4 total. We broke two down and froze them and I made pulled pork with two and froze meal sized portions for later. I was almost out of frozen veggies and found 5 lb bags from $3.86-$4.40. I bought 27 lbs of frozen veggies and some fresh produce. I went to Kroger and bought some discounted produce, milk, and a few other items. I am close to my budget of $80 for this week, but between stocking up on some items last week and this week, I am pretty well stocked on food. I would love to take a shopping break, but I will need dog food, cat food, kitty litter, and more milk next week and I will have to stock up when Kroger’s mega event starts.
I’m glad Gretchen posted about the ground turkey at Aldi last week. I used it in my chili this week, and it tasted delicious at half the price of ground beef. Thanks!
