After five weeks of having a trip of some sort every single week, I’m so grateful to be HOME all week this week! I love the opportunity I have to travel and speak around the country, but I love nothing more than to be home with my family.
I kind of bombed my goals last week… but I have high hopes that this week will be different. We’ll see! 🙂

Can you suggest some good chapter books to read with my 8 year old daughter?
Crystal Paine says
Here are some that might be a good option: https://moneysavingmom.com/2012/06/qa-any-tips-for-reading-aloud-to-my-children-or-recommended-chapter-books.html

I didn’t do so well on my goals in May. I was tired all month. Yesterday I found out the reason why… turns out that, unbeknownst to me, I have been working on a very important project. 🙂

I know what you mean about the traveling – I love it, but I hate it!
Lety says
Hi, Crystal! I think it’s great you took time off last week to soak up lots of love from your family after so many hectic weeks 🙂 Good for you!
My week was not as productive as I would have liked it to be, but it was also not as bad as I thought. Some things did get checked off. 🙂
Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

My daughter usually helps me with my You Tube videos. I do a little editing because I tend to get off subject or forget what I want to say. I either use my iTouch which really has quite a nice camera or my DSLR camera if I have help.
I’m not a person who likes to travel at all in fact I’ve only been to three states in my whole life. I love being at home. 🙂 I hope you have a great week off from traveling and enjoy your time at home.

I just recently made a video for a crochet project using my iPhone and an XShot iPhone case, which is like a mini tripod for your phone. It worked great and I didn’t have to have anyone else around!
Good luck with finding a hairdresser! I think that’s one of the hardest services to find.
Jenny @ Women With Intention says
I am in the process of trying to find a new hair dresser as well. Good luck!! 🙂
Jen says
Didn’t you just move it April? So it’s not like you’ve really been putting off the haircut that long! I received a gift card for a haircut for my birthday in January and still haven’t gone. That is definitely on my to do list for this week. With the warmer weather I need several inches taken off!!!
Crystal Paine says
It’s been on my list almost every day for the past two weeks, so it feels like I’ve been putting it off for quite a long time. 🙂
Jennifer says
Aaackk! I hate finding a new hairdresser. Good luck with that!
Crystal Paine says
I know… I’ve been avoiding it because I’ve been dreading it!
Jen says
Crystal, you might try the Aveda Institute beauty school in Cool Springs. Several of my friends go there. My sister and I recently tried it for the first time and were pleased. The students are super nice and they give you a scalp massage and cup of tea. And it’s only $12 a haircut!
Crystal Paine says
Thanks so much for the suggestion!
Elizabeth @ Wonder Woman I'm Not says
I’m curious, do you do your own shooting and editing for your YouTube channel? I’ve tried it doing it myself but found it lacking (mostly my skills that would be!). I just paid a professional to come over and do some shooting for me. I’m afraid though that over time that will get expensive. I’ll just have to see what my roi will be but I’m wondering how others do it.
Thanks for the link up.
Crystal Paine says
Well, it’s not like I post a lot of videos on YouTube, but when I have, I’ve just had my husband hold my phone and we take it in one shot and don’t edit… because I don’t know how to. 🙂 And I’m all simple and frugal like that. Someday, I’d love to do something that’s higher quality, but I’m all about working with what you have in the mean time. 🙂
