Good Morning! It’s Day 4 of the Go to Bed Early Challenge and while I didn’t quite make my goal of getting to sleep by 10 pm last night, I got a great night of sleep and woke up feeling so refreshed and energetic!
As I shared on Periscope yesterday, I’m committing to do two things every night before bed for the next 21 days: 1) Take my pills/vitamins and 2) Read a devotional and talk with each child individually for 10 minutes before bed.
Both of these are things that will make a big impact on the next day, so I’m committing to do these faithfully each night.
Are you joining me for the Go to Bed Early Challenge? If so, leave a comment on this post to let me know how you did with your go-to-bed goal last night.
We’re in this together… And if you didn’t hit your goal, that’s okay! Give yourself grace, don’t beat yourself up, and know that you can try again tomorrow!

I did not make it to bed on time because I got carried away watching YouTube videos. This means I didn’t get up on time either. I am definitely a work in progress.
So glad you rested well. 🙂 I’m glad you are working so hard on the things you find to be important.
Just watched your scope replay! Wow what an encouragement. I’m in the season of nursing my 3rd baby. A precious 11 month old who is currently getting three teeth at once! Praying today God will multiply my sleep just like he did the with loaves and fish. What a great illustration. I am desperate for more sleep ?
I love watching all of your scopes! Thank you so much for doing them. Like morning coffee with a friend.
Aw, thank you so much! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the scopes! I love doing them!
It is so hard for me to go to bed early. When I do go to bed early my brain starts working overtime and I run a list in my brain of things that I should be doing. I have learned that Lavender on my pillow helps a lot.
Good morning! I went to bed by 10:30 and got up at 5:30. Not ideal but good enough.
Good morning! This challenge has definitely made me more conscious and deliberate about my evenings. I’ve gotten better about running the dishwasher and being very specific about what I look at on my phone before I go to sleep – but I’m not taking email off my phone! LOL
I have been trying…so hard! After out daughter goes to bed (around 830), my husband and I really just enjoy cuddling on the couch and watching some TV and almost always lose track of time! I need to be more conscious about getting things ready for the next day, cuddling with him AND getting to bed a decent hour.
Hi Crystal, I read parts of Simple Abundance awhile ago. If I recall some of it was of very secular ‘womyn’s empowerment’ theme. My memory may be incorrect, but keep your grain of salt handy.
Yes, it seems like it might have some stuff in it that’s not from a Christian perspective… but so far, I’m gleaning some helpful thoughts from it!
#SimpleAbundance is such a wonderful book.
Ditto! 🙂
