My good friend, Tam, turned 45 last week. That was reason for us to celebrate. And for me to post this picture of both of us on Instagram. I still cannot believe that she’s 45. She doesn’t look it at all!
Also, I bought and wore a flannel shirt last week. Considering I can’t remember ever, ever wearing flannel before, this was sort of a big deal. 🙂
Here are my 10 simple goals from last week:
Marriage/Mothering/Homemaking Goals
1. Write a love note to Jesse.
2. Have an at-home Movie Date with Jesse.
3. Spend quality one-on-one time with each of the kids.Personal Goals

If not, you can download the Periscope app and search for my name or @MoneySavingMom to join in live. Or, you can watch the replays on Katch.me/MoneySavingMom — well, I didn’t get to this every day last week, but I did get a few Money-Making Mom scopes done. You can view them here, if you’re interested.)

Writing down my goals on a monthly basis has been really helpful! Thanks for the encouragement to keep at these daily habits. No week or month goes perfectly as planned (on paper) but that’s part of the joy life! Being flexible and striving for progress!

Crystal, I found your blog in 2008 when looking for coupons! Ever since, I’ve been a subscriber. I’ve enjoyed taking advantage of your great resources on the blog, but wasn’t that engaged. In 2013, I decided to start a blog and had no clue what I was doing! Learning a little here and there, it’s been a slow climb. When I took your Makeover Your Mornings course in July, I really started to connect with you. I can relate to your story. I love everything that has to do with entrepreneurship. I’ve built a Mary Kay business for soon to be 15 years, but knew I had more to give. I also had my first child (daughter) in 2005 and wish I would have started blogging then. I love to write, work and give. Basically, I’ve been so inspired by you in the past few months. I felt like my dreams had died, but as I’m reading your Money Making Mom book, I’m starting to see the course of my own journey. I am remembering that God has my story to share too. I’m gleaning from your wisdom and the Lord is utilizing you in a mighty way! I know I’m not the only one you are touching, but I thought I’d take the time to be intentional and tell you how you’ve helped me and my family. I’m watching all your scopes and look forward to learn more and be a light to this world!
Blessings and Shalom to you and your family Crystal.

I’ve been looking for a flannel shirt (blue or purple). May I ask where you ladies purchased yours from? Thanks!

Totally unrelated to your goals … I LOVE LOVE LOVE your hair in the picture of you and Tam!!! Looks awesome!
Crystal Paine says
Aw, thanks so much!! Tam’s daughter, Kass, did our hair and makeup in that picture!

This is my first time linking up. Thanks for all the inspiration to start blogging. I have had a personal family blog for 8 years and now that my youngest is in 3 day a week preschool I decided to take the leap into blogging in the “real” world. 🙂

Awesome job, Crystal! 🙂

One goal I’ve implemented for the last couple of weeks is to have one technology-free evening a week. I leave my laptop at school and just relax with my kids and read. It makes such a difference!
Erin @ My Mommy World says
Ooh, I can’t wait for the new journals and bracelets! I have really enjoyed using the blessings journal this year.
By the way, what weight training program are you doing?
Crystal Paine says
Jesse created a super simple program for me — I asked him for something I could do in 7 minutes or less to add on to my daily jogging schedule. And he totally delivered!
Erin @ My Mommy World says
Your very own personal trainer….love it! 😉

Can’t wait to see the bracelets and journals.
Blogging goals–I am hoping to get all of next week’s posts done by Friday at the latest so I can have all day Saturday to work on my eBook. Week is not starting off great to meet that goal though so we will see—hopefully things improve.
Around the home front— I want to make a 2 week menu and a grocery list to go with it. I would like to create a few different menus with lists over the next while and then just rotate them. Hoping it takes some prep time out of grocery shopping.
Personal Goals– I want to make 2 knitted Christmas tree ornaments for my husband’s staff party coming up (while watching some Tiny House shows on the FYI app and sipping herbal tea of course!) .
Hope you have a great week.

Here’s to a great week so you can work on your ebook!! 🙂

Wow Crystal! You did such a great job hitting your goals last week. Kudos! This week I’m focusing a lot on my personal health (having labs drawn, a trip to my dr, and a visit to the chiropractor) and my daughter’s health concerns. I’m also hoping to squeeze in a few projects (Christmas gifts) and some de-cluttering. Thanks for all your encouragement! It’s because of one of these posts years ago that I sit down and write down my goals for the week. Guess what? My husband recently started doing the same thing as well. 😉

Good for you to focus on your health!
