How was your weekend? Ours was really relaxing — which was such a blessing! I’m still getting used to this “Fall weather” that allows you to wear flip-flops and shorts when there are autumn leaves on the ground!
Gratefully, it cooled down a bit on Sunday and I’ve been able to wear a sweater and boots the past two days. But I’m full preparing that I’ll need to pull out the shorts and flip-flops again later this week. Because, welcome to fall in the South! 😉
Here are my goals from last week:

Hi Crystal, I’m new. I start with the goal setting. I put this on my blog. And I’m still looking for accountability partner for goal setting. Thank you.
Angela @ Setting My Intention says
Hi Crystal, you inspired me to start writing and posting goals. I started out with weekly, but am doing monthly goals now. It gives me a little more time to build in the habits and accomplish things.

I know this is a dumb question but what is a periscope show? I’ve never heard of them and I think you do an amazing job….I never accomplished as much as you do when my kids were young…I still don’t…

If you download the Periscope app, you can watch my live video shows at 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 pm CT every day! It’s fun and interactive and a way to get to connect in real-time. You can watch replays of recent shows here: https://katch.me/moneysavingmom
Jenny @ Women With Intention says
I’m still trying to get the guts to do a scope, too! (And definitely GO ROYALS!!). Thanks for the weekly link up, Crystal. 🙂

You can do it!!! I know you can!

I have been working on no more blogging after 9:30. Otherwise I get to bed so late! I’m still pretty new to the blogging world, but I’m quickly learning that you have to set rules for yourself when you are basically working for yourself. So I understand your email rule!

Fall in Indiana can be the same way. Not as warm as Nashville but still we can have days where I start the day wearing jeans and a light jacket and by noon I am changing into shorts and a tank top. I have grown to LOVE IT as it makes up for the cold, cold, January and February’s we get. I literally soak up every ounce of warmth in fall to make it through (you can take the gal off her western Island but you can’t get her use to winter—ever).
I finally got the house caught up from our 4 day trip to Canada. Still not sure why a 4 day trip created 5 days of housework and errands for me. Anyways, this week I am hoping to get more done on the blog. I want to finish getting my Christmas posts prepped for the upcoming season and if I get more time than I think I really want to plan out a 14 day scope series based on my Christmas on a Zero budget post but that might be a bit too BIG of a goal for one week, so if I just finish getting the Christmas posts redone I will be satisfied.
I also want to plan out date day a bit for next week but shhh….don’t tell the hubby he likes the day to be completely plan free. (LOL) We take one date day a month lately. We start at 8am and end at 8pm. We love it! Evening dates just were not cutting it–our days left us too warn out to truly reconnect.

It took us a while to get used to the weather as well when we moved from new york to north carolina in november 2011. We were wearing shorts and our 2 month old daughter was wearing dresses when we arrived here, but when we were leaving ny we were wearing pants and bundling our daughter up more. It was a real shock.

I’m glad you had a relaxing weekend. We had a bit of illness Sunday morning, so we all stayed home from church. However, my husband and I realized that it was our first morning where we were all at home relaxing in MONTHS. I think God knew that we needed it 🙂 I’d love to hear about the books that you’re reading with your kids!
amanda @lifeasmrsemerson says
Thanks so much for sharing your goals Crystal. I would also love to hear the books that you are reading to your children. We also homeschool and my oldest is five. Have you ever thought about doing a monthly post on the read alouds you read to your children each month? 🙂

I did my first scope last week. Very nerve racking!! You make it look so easy which I know takes time, I’m hoping to get there eventually. It’s pretty crazy though trying to respond to welcome people, respond to questions and block the trolls. You definitely need to be a multi-tasker to it! Thanks for pointing out on your scopes that replays are available at katch.me, I hadn’t realized that until you said it.
Have a good week!
Crystal Paine says
Way to go!! It took me about 2-3 weeks to really feel comfortable on camera and comfortable with all the multi-tasking… and I still have days when I feel really “off” or something throws me off. It’s definitely a learned art!!
