What a busy couple of weeks for you! So excited to hear more about what you are doing on Family Life. Are you going to be sharing about one of your books?
Crystal says
I’ll be doing some segments on money with the Economides… or, at least, that’s what’s slated to happen! 🙂
Dara says
Would you mind sharing a little more about the process you and your husband used for saving up for a rental house? Our personal residence will be paid off in around two years and that’s the next big goal for my husband and I as well. Did you work with a realtor? Did you look for a commercial or residential property? Did you save a set amount each month to reach your goal or did you save all extras (tax refunds, etc) or both? (If these questions are too personal, please disregard my request!)
Jessica @ The Abundant Wife says
I’d love to know what you think of “Anything” by Jennie Allen! I saw Jen Hatmaker recommended it. I just finished “7” on your recommendation and loved it. Thanks for the great suggestions for my reading list!
Trish says
I left you a link to a recipe in the menu plan that screams Crystal. Pancakes, Chocolate Chips, Cinnamon Rolls all in one!
Not my recipe but oh my goodness it looks so good.
Crystal says
Okay, you know me way too well! I may just have to get my kitchen messy again tonight! 😉
Trish says
You can run an extra mile tomorrow. ; )
Crystal says
Or maybe three extra miles?! 😉 Just someone please don’t calculate how many calories those things are… or it will ruin the whole experience. 😉
Anne @ Modern Mrs Darcy says
That’s terrific about your rental property! That’s something we do, and one of our BIG goals (that I thought about when you posted your update recently about the contract) is to keep our existing home as a rental property when we move to a slightly bigger home in the next few years (to accommodate our family of 6 as our kids grow into great big teenagers!)
Looking forward to hearing you mention your new rental business on the blog from time to time 🙂
Crystal says
I hope that works out for you! We’re learning so much already… and we haven’t even closed yet! The walk-through was today, as was the setting up of the LLC stuff for the rental property. It’s been a fun adventure and we’re curious to see how it all goes!
Nick @ DontSpendMore.com says
Thanks for sharing your list. I loved how you have balanced both personal and business goals so well. It is true when the human works in tune with the Divine, wonderful things happen.
Kristy says
I can understand not running on Thanksgiving week! I did not do the running I thought I would do. In fact, I feel proud of the few things I did do other than cooking and celebrating.
So exciting to hear about closing on the property. Plus it’s always pretty exciting to finish a knitting project. 🙂
Stacy says
Woo hoo for closing on your rental property! How great!
Have fun in Arkansas.
Crystal says
Yes, we’re just a wee bit excited… or more like ecstatic! This has long been a dream of ours and it’s really exciting to see it come to fruition after many years of talking about it and hoping it might come to pass!
Sara says
We just moved so I am still trying to figure out a rhythm, and where to put everything. I have so much more storage space so figuring out where to put it is overwhelming to me. I also only had about a weeks notice before everything had to be packed and out, so I am trying to purge as I unpack! So my goals are general need to get done goals but can seem a little silly! Lol!
1. Clean shelves in our room to start putting things where they should go.
2. Finish unpacking boxes in the Garage.
3. Figure out where we are going to put the Christmas tree and where to put the extra furniture.
4. Go back and finalize our advent cards.
5. Take baby clothes to consignment.
6. List items to sell on Craigslist
7. Try to get a handle on our laundry piles
8. Start doing meal planning by ad matching for easier cost effective grocery shopping
9. Get things for my daughters holiday party.
10. Start eating healthier breakfasts and drink more water daily
Hoping to accomplish all but we shall see.

Thanks for posting! Amazing how putting just a few goals to paper can help you find the motivation to accomplish something. Baby steps.
As for me, I’d love to finish a few more blog pages tonight and do the dishes. I’m still running on Thanksgiving vacation time. 🙂
Crystal says
I totally understand the Thanksgiving vacation time… ahem, thus the reason I got up over an hour later than I was planning to this morning. 🙂
Crystal says
You are ambitious! I’m cheering you on!
Natasha says
I have just one, and it’s one I have been slacking on since beginning of the semester: Start and finish my anatomy paper! You’d think I would have had it done already since I only have class on M/F, but nope! I just didn’t feel like it! Now on the other hand, if I had been working this semester like I had the last two semesters, it would have been done by the second week of class! I guess working FT makes you motivated to get things done!
