I loved this post from Small Notebook on 20 Pocket-Change Date Night Ideas. Maybe not every one would work for you, but I'm sure that many of them could serve as an inspiration for your own unique ideas.
Do you have other Pocket Change Date Night Ideas to add to this list? I'd love to hear them!

I signed up for Ruby Tuesday’s e-newsletter, and they sent me a coupon for buy one, get one dinner! We could order off the specialties , bbq, or steak menu. Many of the steak dinners come with salad bar too. We had a great dinner together for the price of one, and brought home enough to have for lunch the next day!

thank you, thank you, thank you!
We recently sold hubby’s french horn (since he never plays it and it was collecting dust). The girl, instead of payin for it, has a deal with us that at $20/wk (that she would pay us) instead she keeps it and babysits.
So, any cheap date ideas are awesome!!!!

My husband enjoy going to the pier. We live in a beach town in Florida, and this is one of the few cheap or free things to do here since our town in geared towards tourism. We also enjoy walking our 3 dogs in the evening and just talking. We also enjoy being in our garden and being goofy together. With our kids not much can be free, but something I can get them to go to thrift stores with me to just check things out.

Love these ideas! Our 15th wedding anniversary is tomoorow (May 13th) and I have it posted over on my blog http://swappinspoons.blogspot.com for people to leave ideas for us…because 15 years is a milestone and …ANYWAYS so far no one has left me any suggestions. So I was thrilled to find this! Thanks!

Our favorite kind of date involves activity. If we get a workout in on a date, then we’ve saved time elsewhere and we have fun being together. It’s challenging because my husband is in better shape than me, but we like to run, bike, and hike together, and usually stop somewhere for a treat/cup of coffee. I love the “go out in our workout” clothes dates because it’s easy casual and is so “us”.

My husband & I are ALWAYS trying to come up with cheap things to do!
Red box is a pretty common thing around here. We either rent the movie for overnight for $1 or we try (whenever possible) to use a code to get the movie free.
We also LOVE to go to McDonald’s late at night in pajamas & tennis shoes. 🙂 We each get a $1 sundae there & then we share a fry. So that is about $3 or so. Nothing is better than that sweet/salty combo. 🙂 While we are there, we sit in a booth to eat our treat & color the little kid pictures they have there on the table. Could be really little kiddish, but we have the greatest time sharing the same picture to color & it can be SO funny sometimes.
Also, we just found out recently when we went to get a cup of coffee late at night at Panera Bread (our favourite place to eat), that they will just give you a pastry if you order one. We each ordered one & because it was so late at night (right before closing time), they gave them to us because otherwise they get thrown away. We have enjoyed this several times.
Another thing we like to do is walk the mall. We have a really small mall & we just enjoy walking up & down it, not shopping or going in shops, just enjoying talking.
Walking around our neighborhood after supper with mugs of coffee is really nice too & completely free. We just love talking to each other.
And sometimes we just play board or card games as well that we already have. We got our playing cards free at Walgreens once when I needed a filler item & they are $1 or less there. 🙂
That is all I can think of right now, but we have so many things we like to do! Hope that is helpful to someone.
I love the sitting on the roof idea! A cup of coffee or something like that would go perfect with that!

My husband and I have a tradition of getting nachos bell grande from Taco Bell and parking by the river and listening to the radio while we eat. Taco Bell is pretty gross, but you can’t mess with tradition! Now that we have our little guy we just drive around a bit before we eat and he falls asleep!
