I use kale on my pizza all the time. You can even use the stocks if you hop them very fine.
Crystal! I see that you got lots of bananas.
Ever try this recipe: http://www.recipebyphoto.com/2-ingredient-cookies/
It’s jut banana and oats plus I add lots of chocolate chips (I know you said your family like chocolate too. But it’s healthy and amazing tasting and of course easy to make.
Another vote for kale chips. My whole family is addicted! My 2 and 4 year olds both want these at their birthday party this weekend! We put a little olive oil, garlic salt, and nutritional yeast on before baking ours. The kids actually sneak raw kale with this combo on before we get them in the oven, lol!

FANTASTIC
I got two 6 packs of large bagels, 2 Philly cream cheese, 4 bags of Lifesavers, a Yucatan guacamole and something else I am forgetting for a total of $1.55 at Publix this week!
I used kale that was on sale this past week in taco salad tonight. I’d never had it & it was wonderful!!
Our favorite thing to do with kale is to roast it, with some olive oil and a bit of salt. It makes an awesome crispy snack that’s really addictive.
Are you making kale chips?
You Should use the kale on your pizza crust! 🙂 We made some recipes from the Digest Diet, and the Kale, Ricotta and Almond pizza was one of our favorites. Even my two year old ate it and he’s exceptionally picky right now! Yum!
Actually my husband sautes kale in olive oil and garlic and then puts on his pizza crust with other good stuff instead of spinach.
I really like kale. You’d be surprised at the recipes you can find for it. Super healthy and packed with good stuff so I try to add it to as many things as possible. Even made a kale smoothie once…sorta tasted like a “fresh cut grass milkshake” but not too bad. =)
Here’s a good one for your kale AND pizza crust:

Last week I made green smoothies with vanilla yogurt, strawberries, banana and kale. My children loved them! One even said they were the best smoothies I’d ever made! I think the fruit helped with the kale taste.
I got a 5 lb bag of russet potatoes yesterday for .99 on the reduced produce rack at Harris Teeter. I was hoping for some cheap bananas, but there were none.
oh, but you could use both the pizza crust and the kale in the same recipe. We have a stuffed prezel recipe that we sometimes stuff with sauteed kale, carmelized onions and provalone cheese. I bet you could use those pizza crusts to make a hot pocket with sauted kale. I have a friend from Keyna and she makes her kale with some onion and tomato but no other seasonings. It’s fantastic. Can’t wait to see what you’re doing with yours.
Lol! We were there before you and I almost grabbed that kale!
Fresh and Easy has corned beef for $1.49 a pound. I used the $5 off $25 coupon to get my total even lower. Corned beef only goes on sale once a year (St. Patrick’s Day). I bought several and put them in my freezer.
Please tell me what health food store you go to!! I always read about your great finds, and all the places by me are insanely expensive…
It’s a local store in our area {I don’t share the name publicly for privacy reasons}. Definitely Google health food stores and the name of your town to see what might be in your area. And then go check them out because you never know what treasures might be awaiting you there!
