Today was SUCH a good day. I’m still not getting this posted early evening like I’d hoped, but that’s just life.
It was so great to wake up to a clean house, the laundry all caught up, and a day with fewer to-do’s. I really feel like we’re starting to get into a great rhythm here with our new schedule… and I’m just hoping that the momentum continues!

Also? I finally got my hair washed and fixed, a nicer outfit on, and a little make up on — which was the first time that has happened since I got sick on Saturday. Yay!
I’m still somewhat dragging and not 100% yet, but I’m improving each day and am hopeful to be back to full capacity again soon. In the mean time, I’m trying to make sure I take care of myself, get a good night’s sleep every night, and eat and drink well.

I love using the diffuser!
Today, we diffused the Harmony essential oil blend. I pick different ones each day — mostly depending upon what mood I’m in or what mood I want to help us all be in! 🙂

After I read my Bible, I came downstairs and we ate a quick breakfast and then started cleaning up the kitchen while the kids did their morning chores. Since we’d gone to bed with a really clean house, this didn’t take long at all.

And I even had time to make my bed… the second day in a row!!
I got the kids started on their morning school projects, switched the laundry, and finished a few more cleaning projects. Then, I exercised and helped Silas with his Kindergarten work.
After that, we all met in the living room and I read aloud while the kids worked on different things — Kathrynne on LEGOS, Kaitlynn on drawing/coloring, and Silas on practicing writing his letters.
A little after noon, Jesse got home and he made lunch. I ate quickly and then headed upstairs to finally get a shower.
They all left for Kathrynne’s swimming practice and I blow dried my hair and then got busy on my afternoon blogging work. Today, I had some posts to write, some emails to answer, a meeting with my executive team (we meet every Wednesday afternoon via Zoom), and then more emails and posts to draft, comments to answer, and some odds and ends of projects.

I headed down to the kitchen around 5:00 p.m. to make apple pie.
Jesse left (again) to take Kaitlynn to her ice skating practice.
Kathrynne and Silas finished up folding and putting away the laundry and then played in the backyard for awhile with the neighbor children.

Once the pie was in the oven, I called the kids back in and they got to watch a movie because their chores and school were done for the day.
I had planned to get a little more blogging work done, but I kinda got distracted online and ended up doing basically nothing for 45 minutes. Well, I mean, I visited lots of sites and found out some interesting information, but had little to show for that time. 🙂
So I decided I’d be better off getting up from the computer and starting in on the kitchen cleaning…

I cleaned up from my apple-pie baking and then cleaned out the refrigerator.

When I was finished, Jesse and Kaitlynn got home. They’d picked up Chili’s for dinner and we sat down to eat.

Then, it was back to the kitchen cleaning again!

The Lazy Susan really needed to be wiped out and it felt so good to take everything out, wipe it out, wipe the appliances off, and put them back again.

I also tackled the junk drawer in the kitchen.

Silas helped me organize the batteries in the junk drawer.

Much better!
I also cleaned out the pantry and a few more shelves and cupboards… and ended up with a box full of things to get rid of/trash. Yay for de-cluttering!
When it was all said and done, it was only 8:30 p.m. and I’d finished everything on My Morning Plan. Woot!

Leave a Comment & You Could Win This Stack of Books!
In my cleaning today, I found some more books and cookbooks to get rid of, most all that are ones I’ve loved and just want to pass onto someone who could be encouraged by them! Plus, I threw in a copy of both my book, Say Goodbye to Survival Mode, and a copy of my new Choose Gratitude Blessings Journal and a box of tea that I love!
Who wants to win them? To win, just leave a comment on this post and I’ll choose one winner tomorrow evening and will mail them to you so you’ll have them in time for Christmas. Some of these books are great condition and might even work as gifts for people on your Christmas list!
Did you work on cleaning your house today? If you blogged about participating in this Clean Your House For Christmas Challenge, leave the direct link to your post below that is specifically about this challenge. Or, leave a comment telling us how your cleaning went today.
The winner of yesterday’s stack of books is Michelle (kmosmond@) — I sent you an email tonight to ask for your address.

Thanks for the motivation!!
Where did you get the battery organizer in your junk drawer? I could use a product like that!
I would love to win the books.
Looks like a productive day!
I haven’t read any if those books! What a blessing that would be!
Enjoyed reading your post. The stack of books look interesting, especially the cookbooks, would love to win the Say Goodbye to Survival Mode an your Choose Gratitude book. Blessing to you and your family.
I also think the battery organizer is awesome. And I need new books!
Really enjoy your blog. Started for the deals and am really enjoying experiencing this new turn for you in your life and business. Appreciate your authenticity and encouragement. Good stuff!! God bless.
I’m a bit behind with laundry. My husband graduates with his master’s degree this weekend. Worth putting the laundry aside to me.
Lots of people coming to stay over our Christmas/Summer break so I really need to get onto the deep cleaning…thanks for the push.
Doesn’t it feel good to get things cleaned?? I love that feeling! And thanks for the giveaway!
I finished updating my address books and mailing a few odds and ends notes that have just been sitting and waiting.
You got a lot done today!!!! Well done!!
I noticed some cookbooks, my favorite!
I love the battery organizer. And those stack of books look great.
You make minimalism look so good! I KNOW we would be happier with less as well!
I’d love to say I did this challenge but with a 4 week old, a 4 year old, and a 2 year old, I’m good with getting laundry and dishes done! 😉
Rough day with the kids. 🙁
Cleaned house all day today. Got a lot done and more tomorrow. I’ll get it all done someday.
It didn’t happen (except laundry). There is always tomorrow
I was looking for your post last night. I was curious what you were going to accomplish. 🙂
I work fulltime out of the house but I made dinner and cleaned up the kitchen afterward and did two loads of laundry and cleaned out the litter box. It’s a good day for me. That’s a fascinating stack of books I would enjoy trying to find time to read.
Love this! So glad you had a good day cleaning! Decluttering the kitchen is so hard, but it’s one of those areas that feels so good to have clutter-free since we spend so much time in there.
Oh my gosh you got a lot done. Me, not so much! I did my minimum wash the dishes, put away the clean dishes, clean the counters off and finally get the microwave clean.
LOOOOOVE the battery organizer! Just went to Amazon and put it on my Xmas list!!
I would love to win that stack of books! Yay for productive days and crossing off ALL of your list! 🙂
Christmas shopping today w/ the hubby 🙂
I did more baking than cleaning today, but it was fun! I would love some of those cookbooks! =)
You sure got a lot done!
Oooh, I want to read all of those books!
I am preparing for going home for the Christmas break. Cleaned out my fridge, packed open packages of food from the pantry to take home, did all of the dishes, and worked on laundry. Tomorrow I will finish cleaning the apartment.
Those books look very interesting!! Glad you had a great day!!!
Thanks for the encouragement! You are doing a wonderful job!
Sounds like you had a great day, Crystal! Enjoyed reading this post…
Would love to read that 100 days of real food book!
What a fun looking pile of books! Thank you for the chance to win!
First off, where did you get that awesome battery organizer?!? So need to grab me one of those! Today I tackled the hall closet and got rid of a garbage bag of stuff! Woohoo! Tomorrow it’s onto the kiddo’s closet.
Thank you for this opportunity to win! 🙂
Thanks for another giveaway!
Not as much cleaning gets done here as I’d like with an almost four month old who I believe is teething and a 3 year old. I am trying to keep up with the basics and finish up some handmade Christmas gifts.
Working on the bedroom still. 🙂
Great website! Can you tell me more about the diffuser? Any tips on organizing your to do list?
I would love to read the PW cookbooks!
I’m getting over an illness, too, so today I vacuumed the house for the first time in…well…let’s just say too long when you have a baby who crawls around trying to eat everything. 🙂 My wonderful husband helped me clean & organize some in the evening, I got rid of some old toys, & it feels GREAT. 🙂
Thanks for the post!
Thank you for the book giveaway.
Kudos on all the cleaning you’ve accomplished, I’d love to win!
I got my business items all taken care of this week and tomorrow is hard surface rioms: kitchen, baths, laundry room.
I have begun this whole cleaning process and it is taking longer than I would like but I am getting there. I cleaned my lazy Susan last Saturday and it felt great to see it so organized . Thank u for your motivation and inspiration!
Great job today!
What a great idea, would love the books.
How do you have the energy to clean at the end of your day? That pie looks yummy and I’d love to win the tea!
I would love to have the stack of books for myself and the give to others. Thank you for the opportunity to win. 🙂
Hi Crystal, just wondering what kind of diffuser you have and what you think of it. I had bought one that had a little stick-like thing that soaks up the oil. The problem is that the oil can’t just easily be changed to a different kind. I’m looking for one, though, that isn’t super expensive. Thanks.
Your pie looks so good! Love the crumble topping.
Thank you for the daily encouragement! I would love to read through the books. We have recently discovered the Pioneer Woman and she is encouraging my picky eater to try new foods. 🙂
Great books! I bought a gratitude journal already so if I win I will give that to my good friend.
Thanks for giving away the books! You did have a great day! Good for you! I just wanted to say real quickly that you are an encouragement to me on this blog! You are down-to-earth which I really appreciate. 😉
Those books look good!
Wow, that was quite a day!! I’ve spent the last three days rearranging our kitchen, taking every single thing out of the cabinets, freezer, and refrigerator and finding a more user-friendly spot for each item. Exhausting!!!
Did you like diffusing Harmony? I’ve had my eye on it. I would love to win that stack of books, especially a gratitude journal. Thanks for the opportunity!
I like Thieves or Lavender better, personally. I did Orange today!
Good job, Crystal!
Good work! I really need to clean my refrigerator too! Maybe tomorrow 🙂
Yes please, me! 🙂
LOVE the clean house Christmas challenge. I’m recovering from pneumonia right now, so things are not as good as they should be, but I am doing what I can and letting myself feel accomplished with anything I am doing!
I’m doing a lot of purging from my chair, but hey! It’s getting done.
Thanks so much. <3
I really need to deep clean my kitchen, too. Not sure when it will get done though….
Wow! Sounds like a very productive day!!! Thank you for sharing!!
Wow, what a nice stack of cookbooks! You are inspiring with your cleaning.
I love Pioneer Woman! And I did some closet cleaning today & just dropped off a bag at the local thrift store.
Nice job in the pie:) thanks for thinking of us all when you find some books that need a new home!
love this challenge!
I would love to win these books! I’ve been inspired to clean up my own house. Cleaned up my kids rooms yesterday.
That pie looks awesome! I would love some of those books as well.
I’m loving this challenge! It took me 3 days to complete cleaning my bedroom, but I’m so glad I continued even if it wasn’t at the same speed as you. Despite many interruptions, sick children and just regular household stuff I was able to make a bag of clothes to donate as well as a garbage bag to throw out. The dressers are clear of clutter and you can actually see the bottom of my closet!
Way to go!!!
You had a very productive day, indeed! And the apple pie looks yummy.
These books would be wonderful and I’d put them to great use!
Alas, I didn’t get to clean yet today… Dr. appointments took the morning and other little chores took the afternoon. Maybe tonight or tomorrow! Thanks for the encouragement to tackle it though.
uuhmmm….recipe for the apple pie!
I tackled the junk closet! It’s amazing how much stuff accumulates in there!
I’d love to win!
Yuan! That pie looks amazing. I’m selfishly hoping to win this stack of books because I don’t think I bought of your gratitude journal is ever going to ship from amazon lol! I did not reach my cleaning goals today! Sick two year olds are distracting!
My house has stayed relatively clean for 24 hours, which is a welcome change. I ended up cleaning the kitchen yesterday, so tonight it will be just a quick wipe down and then off to tackle getting my 2 daughters’ putting their own clothes away.
Thank you for the chance to win this stack of books and tea! 🙂
I love that battery organizer you pictured. I may need to look for one of those for my husband’s battery collection. 🙂
Your pie looks delicious!! There’s several books in that stack that I would love to own!!
Grace for the Good Girl is such a great book! I loved it!
I would also like to know more about your battery organizer! What a nifty item! Where can I get one?
I love that you made pie! You’re kitchen looks great. Good job keeping at your goals. And I love cookbooks. Hope to win.
Glad you got your list completed! Thanks for sharing when you don’t get it done. I always plan more than I can ever fit into my day 🙂
I would LOVE to win these books! There are some great titles in this stack:)
i need to get my house clean lol love the books 🙂
That is great that you are doing this challenge! My house could use the cleaning too! But with a fairly new baby, I am just happy that I am almost done with my Christmas shopping and the baking is done already!
What a great idea to clean out your shelf and bless someone else! I’d love to win. Thanks!
I’d love to read your book, & the Pioneer Woman ones! Today is my day off of work but had to take DS 1 in to the Oral Surgeon for a consult, do Christmas shopping for relatives, & take all 3 boys in for haircuts. So didn’t get much done around the house…yet!
All that productivity and you even made an apple pie! I believe we have the same air popper. Mine is old and well used because, well, I love it and eat popcorn for an afternoon snack almost every day : )
Would love to win those books! Also, very interested in your battery organiser. Do you mind me asking where you got that from?
You got a lot done! Reading is my favorite thing to do after cleaning.
monk5 at charter dot net
Good work, girl!
I got knocked out with a Migraine today – went to the chiropractor as soon as I could this morning, then went back to bed until noon (!!!) – deep cleaned my bathroom, and decluttered a bit. Also my kitchen got a good sprucing up! 🙂
This is a very nice stack of books!
Ooohhh! I’d love these stack of books! Pick me, pick me!!Lol!
Thanks for encouraging me to clean something, anything out and give it away!
Thanks for the encouragement as I try to get my house in shape for the holidays!
Would love to win some books 🙂
What a great book giveaway!!
I would love to win some books! Thanks for your generosity! 🙂
Would love to receive those books
We would love that stack of books. Merry Christmas!
Would love to win this!
Love, love cookbooks and absolutely love my 100 days of Real Food one! Would love to give this away to someone. Congrats on getting so much done. I’m still tackling laundry and attempting to clean up from holiday decorating!
All look like great books!
Wow,I’m inspired to tackle a few projects, including stacks of books I need to give away so I can make room for more books!
Where did you get that battery organizer???
Ahhhh… the feeling of accomplishment. The fridge and drawers look great and are motivating. It’s the little things. Thanks for sharing some more good book titles and freebies. Merry Christmas!
Glad you had such a good day! I’d love the books, some of those have been on my list for a while – and rooibos tea is my new favorite! 🙂
That battery organizer is neat looking. Where did you get that? Looks like another great stack of books! 🙂
With so much going on between now and Christmas, unfortunately organizing hasn’t made it on to my to do list. Once Christmas is over, though, the game is on!!! Thanks for the inspiration and for keeping it real!!! I love reading about your days and am so glad you’re feeling better!
Being from South Africa originally, I love that your tea is Rooibos 🙂
I love your battery organizer!! I’m going on Amazon right now to find one. maybe if I get my house clean I would have time to read all those wonderful books. 🙂
would love a whole bunch of these titles… Fingers crossed!
Thanks for inspiring me to be more productive with my time! I’ve been itching to declutter my house for a while now. And these books look fabulous, I’d love a copy of your gratitude journal!
Looks like a good stack of books!
I have wanted to read ALL of these books. Thanks for the opportunity.
I’d love that stck of books!
Would love to win the books!
What a fun giveaway! Congrats on your clean house!
Great job! The books look great!
Would love to win! Thanks
I would LOVE those books!!!
Wow Great Job Cleaning! Love the container you store your batteries in…
Awesome job! (And I love Silas’s face in that picture of your bedroom!)
Looks like a great stack of books!
Cleaned out hallway closet today. Thanks for the inspiration!
I would love to win some new books. 🙂
Ewww Books! Love them.
I have been cleaning, organizing, donating and purging items in our house as we just moved in a couple weeks back and have much less space to put our things.
Where did you get that battery organizer from??
You are inspiring me! Thank you
third time is the charm?
Like everyone else, I would love these books!
I’d love to win those books!
Lots of interesting books I’d love to read! WTG on being so productive!
Love books! Pick me!
I’d love that stack of books! 🙂
Would love a stack of books.
I love Christmas but oh my, so much to do!
Got the dining/living room in tip top shape and the best part…I FOUND MY KEYS! I’d been missing them since mid-November and we were about to pay a CRAZY amount to get a new set because we weren’t comfortable with us one set, especially when traveling. Had I not been cleaning I wouldn’t have found them tucked between the cushion and back of a dining room chair. Yay!
I’ve wanted to read some of those and would love to win them 🙂
Oh man, there are a couple of books in that stack that I have had my eye on for awhile!
would love a stack of books!!!!!!!!!!!
Love this!
I cleaned off my dining room table hot spot. Felt so good!
It looks like a wonderful, productive day! You are very inspiring!! Looks like some great reads.
Where did you find the battery organizer?! I have ziploc bags stuffed into our junk drawer; Oh, and I would Love the stack of books =)
Would love to read all of these books!
I am loving these stacks of books you’re downsizing!!
Those look like some really great books. 🙂
I love seeing posts like this. It helps me stay on task – and makes me feel a little better knowing I’m not the only one who can be a time waster (online).
Your post have always been very encouraging! Thanks!
I never knew they battery organizer!
At work with my husband today! I’m writing out Christmas cards while we’re here. When we get home tonight he’ll dash off to Bible seminary at church and then it’ll be the two boys and me for the night. May tackle trying to sew some gifts or make ornaments with the boys after supper. 🙂
A lot of my guests will come at the end of January so I’ll have to do some after Christmas cleaning. Your posts are an encouragement and have me itching to get on a good schedule and start de-cluttering. We’ve done it in the past through your example ( we used Tsh Oxenrieder’s book !) and it’s so refreshing when your done. It’s kind of like a bug, once you start, you can never stop wanting to de-clutter.
We just decluttered our kitchen last month. We had the cabinets painted so it was a good chance to get rid of a bunch of stuff. Thanks for the chance to win!
I feel as though I spend all day cleaning the kitchen. I’m lucky that my little one loves sweeping the floor, so that I at least know that area of my house is up to par.
I love the battery holder that you have in your junk drawer! I think something similar will be a great gift for the hubby! Thanks 🙂
OOO. I’d love to read some of these and know that others would make great Christmas gifts for others in my family!
I cleaned out my closet for the second time this year and got rid of a garbage bag full plus some to donate to the Thrift Store. It’s amazing how much clothes I don’t actually wear and use!
I am still amazed at how much you accomplish in a day. One bedroom in our house would take a full weekend – or the kitchen would be as long. It’s hard with a large family in a small home – too much stuff despite my efforts to ship stuff out. I love many of the book titles in your list and would love a chance to win! And your stack inspires me to de clutter our cookbook shelf!
More fun books! Yeah!
I really need to clean out may lazy susan also. It’s packed full of spices that need to be reorganized somehow!
I love new books, thanks for cleaning out yours 🙂
Your kitchen looks great! I have to clean/organize mine today. Wish me luck! I would love that stack of books. It has many titles that are on my wish list.
I visited with a friend for coffee this morning. No cleaning, just much needed time with a friend! Tomorrow back at it so I can enjoy the weekend with my family!
Glad you got it all done.
Great job… you’re so ambitious!!! Would love to win today’s books!!!
I must read this blog too much because ALL of those books are on my wish list! I am also wishing for a clean house, but that isn’t happening while I am commenting here!
I am (hoping) to get some Christmas projects done today! Love the stack of books…I see a couple from my reading list in there!
My house cleaning needed some definite inspiration! Thanks for your enthusiasm about the jobs to be done!!!
Well, I got lucky and my MIL spent the night – she helped tremendously with the kid’s rooms, so I worked a bit on the kitchen. Tomorrow I tackle my office – it may take me all day, but I’m determined!!!
Cleaning will happen today!
Oh, the PW cookbooks! Thanks for all these great book stacks…now hoping I can win one 🙂
Yea! Always feel great when a day goes as planned!
Wow! I woud love to be the winner of these books. Thank for offerng this!
It’s amazing how good a clean house can make you feel. 🙂
I love to see your posts…motivating. 🙂 Thanks!
Great job!
I hope I am not too late. I would love to win the books. Thanks
Our bathrooms are next to tackle on my cleaning list. (:
What a lovely giveaway.
My kitchen is on the list too. The kitchen isn’t done, but we found all of the items my son needed for a school project.
The books would be a treat–I see the Pioneer Woman in the stack!
Love the battery organizer I see in one of your pictures. I cleaned the basement today and put up more Christmas decorations.
These posts are so encouraging and motivating! Your lazy susan gave me ideas, I never feel like I know what to put in mine!
I went through Lego sets with my boys today. They have a ton! We picked 10 to keep out (5 each), and put the rest in a box to sort out and possibly sell. Our toy room is already much cleaner!
Tackling my kitchen. Thanks for the inspiration! 🙂
Well cleaning wasn’t a large part of the day, but I did get laundry (including bed sheets!) and mending done! Yea for me!
Would love those books!
I love these posts! It encourages me to look around and see what I can clean out, today I worked on out basement!
Hi – I worked a longer-than-expected day today for a co-worker…. so, much cleaning was left for today. But, I will conquer today(or tomorrow)! Thanks for your encouragement. Would love new books to read, Becky
Oh, I see Pioneer Woman cookbooks! Yay!
Wow you are doing a great job. I kept the kitchen clean and caught up on laundry but that’s about it.
The kitchen is always the biggest cleaning job for me. It gets so dirty and cluttered so fast. Nice job on getting yours done so quickly.
I had planned on joining you in this challenge but the past 3 days have been crazy and I haven’t gotten any of the cleaning done. But there is NOTHING on the calendar today so I’m having a “lazy” day at home and trying to get caught up. Bedrooms are clean, one bathroom, and part of the kitchen. I have also made a detailed list of everything that needs done. My husband is a huge help in the evenings if he knows what needs done. For some reason he just seems to overlook all the mess and not realize that cleaning needs done unless I tell him!
Cleaning? Well, I made a sparkly star on a stick for the Christmas pageant and that took all day, so….
But I would love a stack of new books to procrastinate with! 🙂
😉
I like the battery organizer in your junk drawer. Great idea. Will have to look for that st our licsl hardware store.
Any ideas for keeping the phone cord chargers etc stored in a clean way?
Doesn’t it feel good to have white space in the refrigeratir? I enjoy cooking more when that space is organized.
And….I like your candles!
You inspire me!
I like that battery organizer. That would be great in my drawer as well. I’d LOVE to win the stack of books! I didn’t get much cleaning done. Just the basics like dishes washed (ok I didn’t even do that, that was my husband!) but I worked late and we did have company for a little bit.
Thanks for this kind of offer – books have so much more use each than a single (or even repeat) reading by one person. Glad to hear you are feeling better!
I would love to win the books.
Now that looks like a fun stack of books. I zeroed in on the Pioneer Woman cookbook. I have been wanting that one for awhile. I love her recipes.
I don’t have to organize the kitchen, thankfully! 😀 just goes to show there’s always a blessing or two to be found!
I organized our closet a little more yesterday and did my menu plan and grocery list for the next week!
Danielle
I love your positive attitude! Oh and tell your daughter I found a copy of The Jesse Tree and plan to start it with my kids next week. I’m excited about this new-to-me book!
I’d love to win these books! The battery organizer looks great. I’m going to check it out.
What an awesome stack of books!
What a great day! I made Chili for dinner and doubled the recipe to stick some in the freezer. Little did I realize that the recipe was already set for 10 people. So I have about five meals in the freezer! I’d love to win those books; thanks for the giveaway.
Lots of cookbooks I would like to try out 🙂
Great job! Decluttering is so rewarding! I’m slowly, ever so slowly working my way through my house. I’m excited for every box that leaves my house =)
I didn’t work on my house, but I helped my parents-in-law clean and organize their house. BTW, I love books!
Sounds like a great day! The only one of those books I have is the one you wrote 🙂
While I may have gotten my bathroom done yesterday, my little girl is still sick and seems to need mommy even more today. Therefore, I’m postponing… it’s all about grace, right?
Yes, it’s all about grace. I’m so sorry your daughter is sick! {Hugs!}
Those books all look so interesting!
Cookbooks!! My favorite!
Got all of my drains cleaned today. Would love to win the stack of books. It’s hard to tell my kids to keep up on their reading when mom doesn’t have any books to read for herself.
A couple of those books are on my Christmas list!
What a productive day! Congratulations on all you accomplished ! 😀 Where did you find a battery organizer? That would be a very handy tool in my kitchen “junk drawer.”
Awesome Job! It’s so nice to have the clean house feeling. Hoping I get there by Christmas morning. Lol. I’m in love with the book pile!!!!
Thank ou for sharing your cleaning efforts! I find it very inspirational.
I didn’t get anything cleaned 🙂 And my husband just made a mess in the kitchen after church because he’s smoking a briskit for his co-workers. Maybe today 🙂
Congratulations on finishing everything on your list! That must be a wonderful feeling (that I don’t think I will ever feel…)
My kitchen is pretty good and I keep up on it, but my pantry! Oh my pantry! So I worked on it, but didn’t get done. Question: How many years past the expiration date can you use Craisins? Okay, so I would live to win some books, especially Whole Foods (Craisins aren’t you know!) and I will share them with family. 🙂
If they are years past their expiration date, I’d definitely toss them.
I love to read & would love to win the books!!! 🙂
Ha! I love that you have/had a Pioneer Woman cookbook! I do love me some butter.
I would love that stack of books! Thanks for the chance to win!
Would love to win the stack of books. Merry Christmas!
I love cooking and want the 100 days of real food cookbook sooo badly! I love the days my to-do list gets finished. My weekend will be spent catching up on the things I wasn’t able to get to after work this week due to illness in our house :(. Hope you continue to feel better!
Your site always helps me find my focus. Would love to win the stack of books to jump start my new year!
Yay-Thanks Crystal!
You are really sticking with it! Would love to win the books! Thanks so much!
I am so glad I saw this on Facebook today! I plan to start…even if I’m a couple of days late.
I’m also really intrigued by your offer of books and tea. As an avid tea drinker, I’m curious what you’ll be sending out. 🙂
Wow, what a great stash of books! That’s definitely going to bless someone 🙂
I would love to win these, especially the artisan bread book. I’d gotten it from the library but had to return it before I’d tried any recipes as I got too busy!
I would love to win a stack of books! Thanks for the contest and all you do!
I’m curious, where did you get the battery organizer in your junk drawer? That is awesome! I desperately need one as my drawer is typically full of batteries. I feel like I have to empty the drawer just to find one because they roll around once the package is open.
It’s available on Amazon.
Thank you! I am going to get on there right now to check them out!
I need to take more time to read and less time cleaning 🙂 I washed the living room and kitchen walls plus cleaned out our bathroom.
Oooh, more books! You are awesome!
I’m behind on my reading plan to read a certain number of books this year (NOT as many as you do, Crystal!) so I am thinking about counting all the chapter books I read to my daughter. Is that cheating?
Nope, I think that totally counts. 🙂
Such nice books to win! Would be a blessing for sure
would love to win those books!!
Oh I could SO use this stack of books! I’m trying to stretch our Christmas budget after I over-spent from my monthly budget on donation gifts for an orphanage in Haiti, and some of the people on my list would Really love these! Thanks for the chance 🙂
You are such an inspiration!
I would love to win new cookbooks! I only have a couple that I received as wedding gifts–I can’t bring myself to spend money on cookbooks because there are so many free recipes on the internet, but I love having the real print and pictures in front of me. My husband loves the Pioneer Woman too–it’s food that we both agree on:)
You are making good progress. Thank you for sharing the books with others. It would be a great collection to win!
great giveaway!
What a productive day! I’d love to win those winderfu lol books too
The kids and I “ice skated” (mopped the kitchen) to the nutcracker ballet music for homeschool recess! 🙂 I’d love to win those books!
Would be great to win these! 🙂
I’ve been trying to get everything clean before we leave to go out of town for the Holidays. It’s crazy trying to cram everything I want to accomplish in such a short amount of time — Christmas is not too far away — but it feels so good afterwards!
I’ve been eying that 100 Days of Real Food Book for a while now, and I love Ree, so this stack would be awesome to win!
Great job cleaning!
Crystal, You are awsome!! Wish my day went like yours. Thank you for being a great inspiration . Would love the books for Christmas gifts ( Tighter than Tight budget this year).
How fortunate and blessed you are to have help from your husband with your children! I am also just starting to get more help since my husband is self-employed now and it really is wonderful to have that support! I am glad you are starting to feel better 🙂 Yay! Clean house=relaxed mommy 🙂
I know! I feel so very blessed and grateful!
Would love to win. Thanks for having this giveaway!
My cleaning schedule is generally pretty good on a daily basis, but today I had the PLEASURE of babysitting my precious 7 week old grand baby Kaylen (our first grandchildJ) whose Momma has been very sick during this busy season. At the end of the day, I straightened my home but LOVING IS MORE IMPORTANT!
Today I worked on cleaning up the kids rooms
Thank you for the motivation to clean and organize our homes! Sometimes, it gets so overwhelming, but the day by day approach is great!
I just finished cleaning out my corner cabinet and a lower cabinet shelf where I keep all our pantry items. After a bit of a purge, now there’s nothing left on the cabinet shelf, particularly since it’s right over a heating vent and all the food was getting WAY too warm!
I’d love these books!
That’s a great looking set of books!
We just recently moved so we’re just taking it a day at the time, slowly organizing and arranging things. It’s just starting to feel like home again. Love this chance to win these great books. I love to read, but haven’t had much time lately. I’m ready to get back at it! Thanks for the opportunity!
where did you get the battery organizer??? love love love that idea!!
We have a daily schedule for cleaning, so yesterday was the day to clean the bathrooms and wash the sheets and towels. Today will be cleaning the kitchen (dishes, counters, wipe down cabinet doors, etc.), dusting, and watering the plants. This schedule makes it all manageable and it frees us up on the weekends for family time.
great motivation for me to clean
Didn’t get any cleaning done today, but a friend came over and we were able to get all my Christmas wrapping done! Felt really good to have THAT at big chore off the to-do list!
Wow those books look amazing. I just started on my debt free journey and am also working on cleaning up my diet and routine- both have been tough going so I could really, really use some encouragement like winning some new reading material 😀
Way to go on the cleaning! I would love to gift a few of those cookbooks for Christmas.
Your house looks great. I was working on folding clothes and getting ready to leave to head back home for a visit. I would love to win those books!
Such an amazing day. Thanks for the inspiration. We are having family in town in less than a week and I need to have many days like yours to get my house in order!!
Kudos on a clean house and dressing for the day! 🙂 I’d love to win those books.
I definitely need one of those battery organizers! Thanks for the encouragement to get organizing!
Oh how I would love to get my hands on those Pioneer Woman books! Thanks for sharing.
I need some of that motivation for my kitchen. Your junk drawer is inspiring.
I would love to win this stack of books!
Glad you had such a productive day!
Thank you for all you do! You have been helping me save money, organize and stay focused in what’s important for the past 6.5 years!!!
Love the progress you’re making! It’s so nice when a to-do list gets cleared in one day! 🙂 great book choices… A friend just recommended a few of these to me.
Looks like some great books! Today I am catching up on laundry. Yesterday I got a much needed haircut, to help hide my recent hair loss from medical problems. It feels good to not stress about it anymore!
What a great giveaway! It would be such a blessing to win this!!
Blessings to you and your family!
Your battery organizer looks like it works well. Hoping to get some major cleaning done on Saturday while the kids are at Parents’ Night Out.
I would love to win those books. I’ve been wanting to read yours, and who doesn’t love The Pioneer Woman! Thanks for the chance.
No extra cleaning happened today : (
With a newborn and three other little kids it is hard to get anything done, but I did get out the Christmas decorations and then get them empty boxes put away, Yeah! I love cookbooks would love to try some new ones.
Love this series – I’m hoping it will motivate me to get this all done around my house.
Thanks for sharing your day. I love to get new ideas and encouragement from your posts!
I would love to win this stack of books!
I love all these books!!
What a great stack of books! I’d read all day long if I could. 🙂
What a productive day you had. Wish mine had gone as well.
Always looking for a new read! Love to have the pioneer woman cookbooks!
I love The Pioneer Woman cookbooks. I am also interested in the 100 days of Real Food one.
great job! I would love to win those books 🙂
This year I have read 98 books and hope to make it to 100 before the end of the year, your stack of books would be a great help in that endeavor!
May I ask where you purchased that cool battery caddy? I soooooo need one of those!
It’s available here: http://www.amazon.com/Range-Kleen-82-Battery-organizer-Removable/dp/B000FNR726
Thank you!
I noticed some Pioneer Woman cookbooks, how exciting!
Oh, you love The Pioneer Woman too I see from the book stack. How awesome!
With twin 2-year-old boys, my cleaning and organizing is slow going these days! But I try to get one room done a day!
I have a sick little one, so not a lot of cleaning happened today. There’s always tomorrow!
Oh I’d love that stack of books!!!
I cleaned up the living room and filled a box with toys and books my children no longer play with. That box will be dropped off at the mission thrift store by tomorrow!
So I really need some of your organization in my life. Do you have tips for Mom’s who are gone from the house basically all day until 6/7 PM and sometimes later if there is Basketball games and practice? On top of that half the nights of the week I end up working on actual work projects again at 8-9 PM until midnight or later. Seems my house is always a mess and everything is a struggle. No time for anything and I am constantly exhausted and tired of fighting with husband/kids to help clean up.
Out of money, time, & patience constantly. Help! Maybe one of those books holds the key 😉
I am in full on declutter and clean up mode! Besides getting cleaned up for Christmas, my oldest son is coming home from Japan for Christmas and staying for two months before going back to start a job. So I am working on getting his room clean and set up and decluttering the closet. It has become a storage for “stuff” while he’s been gone :-S
Thanks for the giveaway! 😉
You have amazing taste in cookbooks! 🙂
I also came down with the flu shortly after Thanksgiving, and haven’t caught up quite as ambitiously as you have yet, but I did get laundry and dishes all caught up yesterday, so I was pretty happy with that.
Great job, Crystal! Where did you get the battery organizer? I would love to win the books!
It’s here: http://www.amazon.com/Range-Kleen-82-Battery-organizer-Removable/dp/B000FNR726
Organizing always makes me feel better. Great work today!
Those look like great books!
Looks Great! Gives me hope for my house.
I enjoy your blog and would love to win, especially the gratitude journal. Thanks 🙂
Your junk drawer looks better messy then mine when it is organized. 🙂 I think that means I have too much junk. Thank you for the inspiration to get rid of some more things!
The Lazy Susan for small appliances…hmmm. that might work for us. Thanks for the great idea!
I would love to win this stack of books! Ree Drummond, the Pioneer Woman, is one of my favorite cooks! As I told you in my previous post, I’ve been busy straightening out a storage room on the same floor as my office this week. We have been making progress!
I cleaned out my linen closet yesterday. It looks so much better!
A very productive day for you! Great job!
I’m loving all the book giveaways!
Love hearing the posts about your life and your family. Thanks!
Congrats to the other book stack winners! I’m hoping to win this stack!!
Your apple pie is making me really hungry and it is only 8:30 a.m. here…Yum!
Those books look great! I also like your battery organizer, where do you get something like that?
Your house must be spotless by now!
I have not started your declutter challenge as this time of year is just too busy for me to tackle a project like this but I have been pulling 1 box at a time out of the garage and going through it and either putting it away, donating or trashing items that I can’t for the life of me understand why we moved. haha
Love it! Hopefully I get this done today!
Would love to win. Couple of the books I need, several others are wants. Christmas break will be lonely this year as husband (and girlfriend) will have the children.
Congratulations! Your house looks great! I appreciate your wonderful website & all that you do! Blessings to you & your sweet family! So glad to know that you are feeling better!
I love this challenge idea! Totally has inspired me to take on the clutter before Christmas. Thanks for all you do, Crystal!
So many fun books!! Thanks for sharing!
I love reading about your days! I am in my 1st trimester of my 3rd pregnancy and am so behind on life/housework because I feel sick all of the time, and posts like this remind me how in normal life I was actually able to do things like clean my whole kitchen in one day. Hopefully I can have normal days again soon. Thanks for the upbeat look on life. 🙂
I want to win the Pioneer Woman cookbook. And I want to read addicted to busy also. Thanks for the giveaway!!
I’m on a roll for exercising for 30 min!
Yesterday I grocery shopped and scrubbed my kitchen floor and baseboards. Having a cleaning plan going into the Christmas season has sure helped keep the panic from setting in!
I must say I love your battery organizer and tester in your junk drawer, what a life saver. Especially with the holidays so close. I always refresh and test my battery stock in the week before birthdays and the gift giving season to ensure I have any size my kiddos might need as well as the proper size for the gifts I plan to give. It’s a bummer as a kid to get an awesome toy….but have to wait to play with it until Mom buys the batteries 😉
Great job! I still need to do this! I cleaned and organized my girls bathroom the other night and right afterward my husband decided to give the dogs a bath in there 🙁
Love the Pioneer Woman and would love to win those cookbooks!
Your posts have helped motivate me, thank you! Today I cleaned our home office and started on the kitchen along with making our bed and putting away laundry. Getting into a routine has helped so much since I’m 14 weeks pregnant and still trying to find my energy and motivation. Slowly but surely the house is getting back in order!
My husband cleaned the kitchen and living room over the weekend while I was working as a surprise when I got home. I have been working all week to keep things organized and have even gotten rid of a few things in preparation for an upcoming move!
Washing my hard wood floors was my big chore. We have them in every room so this was a big job. They look so fantastic.
I want to win! 🙂
Thanks for sharing your days with us! Always inspires me!
Way to go! I need to get in the habit (again) of making my bed everyday.
Way to go, Crystal!
I’d love to win the books!
With an almost 4 month old, the house isn’t as tidy as pre-baby, but it’s looking pretty good! In a way, it has been good for me not to be able to do everything. I’m forced to slow down, enjoy baby snuggles, and remember my worth isn’t dependent on what I accomplish, but by my relationship with God 🙂 Something which is hard for this list loving girl to believe some days!
Way to go on your kitchen!
I actually took a break from cleaning to make A LOT of Christmas cookies for my husbands work. It was a fun break!!!
I have been keeping my kitchen so clean lately, I think it was inspired by your photos and stories about cleaning your house too this week. I did get rid of about 10 pieces of clothing and put them in a get rid of bag. It was so nice to have more room in my dresser now!
Just had our 11th baby so this week I am slowly easing back into things and trying to clean the house for Christmas. These post have been perfect!
Your posts are always so inspirational. And are those some Ree Drummond books I see in there too? I love her recipes.
I have some of those same books on my Amazon wishlist. I would love to win them!
Those books look so interesting…would love to win them!
Still loving these posts!
I got my kitchened cleaned too! 🙂
A stack of books is just a beautiful thing! I cannot see a picture online without stopping to glance at the titles 🙂
Wow! Another great stack of books! Would love to read or give these away for Christmas! Thanks for being so generous, Crystal! Merry Christmas!
Wow! What an inspiration! I haven’t checked your blog in a few days as we have all ben sick, but I am excited to go back an learn more about the new challenge. How great it would feel to have my whole list done in 1 day! Then I could sit down and enjoy my new stack of books. 😉
OK…now I really need to win, I love these additions. Today you were my inspiration. I showered, washed my hair, shaved my legs(!), and picked up the house before hubbie got home from hunting. Even went with lighting a candle and having DD practice her letters:). Nice day!
My cleaning goal today is to put laundry away…all of it. ☺️ Thanks for an opportunity to get some new books!
I’d love to win and share these books!! I also love the battery organizer in your kitchen drawer–I’ve never seen one like that. Very cool!
I would LOVE to win these books! And I am so inspired by your cleaning.
I have plans to clean all of the hardwood/tile surfaces in the house this afternoon. Need to clean up after the snow we got last night 🙂
Would love the books!
My cleaning went terribly! But thanks to your list, I now have a growing list of projects to tackle as soon as I get off this computer! ( :
You have inspired me SO much with these posts!
Good job on finishing your housecleaning list! I know it feels great not only having a clean house, but also actually accomplishing something. (Especially for us homeschool moms!)
i’d love to win those cookbooks! i have some organizing i want to do this weekend…just too much to do after work 🙂
I’m keeping up with laundry and meals after work, but not much else. Hopefully, tonight I will get more completed.
Looks like a great stack of books! Would love to win them!
I’ve been wanting to read Grace for the Good Girl for a while now. Would love to win this set! 🙂
What a lovely stack of books ! I would love to add them to my kitchen !
Ooh, I would love those cookbooks! Thanks for your generosity!
Continuing to tweak storage spaces after our move six weeks ago. I’m also preparing for an open house tonight for our friends who helped us with remodeling and moving.
I got rid of so much paper today — I feel like I got a lot done!
Love that battery organizer I am going to have to go on a hunt for one of those now 🙂
I love the battery organizer. We always have too many batteries rolling around the junk drawer. I need to find an organizer to contain them all!
Would love to win that Pioneer Woman cookbook 🙂 Sounds like your family has a schedule that is really working well for you right now. Can’t wait to see what you will be rolling out in the new year!
Would love new-to-me cookbooks! 🙂
Spent yesterday cleaning and decluttering the kitchen. Made this morning much smoother! Thanks for the inspiration to get started!
Way to go! Doesn’t it feel good to get so much accomplished in a day?
I feel like I clean one floor and the other one gets trashed! I need to follow this challenge….i just close the doors to all the rooms to avoid looking at the messes!
Oh, I would love to win! I’ve never tried Numi tea. Is it better than other teas? Great job on your cleaning projects!! I love reading each day. 🙂
I cleaned my microwave and my toaster and had the dishwasher running before our evening church service. Good enough for me!
Would love to have more books to read! Thanks for the opportunity! 🙂
Thanks for the inspiration! Keeping it real helps me remember that no on is perfect and capable of doing it all. And nothing ever goes as planed.
Not today as my husband had surgery…. that was enough for one day!
Glad to see you’re on the mend! I’ve vowed to get some cleaning in before baking today!
Great Job on the apple pie. Your battery organizer is cool.
That apple pie looks really good. There are quite a few titles in that stack of books I have had my eye on checking out. Thanks!
This is just the encouragement I needed this morning! I have extra time as two of my three kids are with their grandparents, and I love knowing that the investment of my time now will be a blessing to them when they come home. I’m catching up with this weeks’ cleaning schedule, but my plan for today is to clean out the baby’s room, wrap Christmas presents, and clean out the fridge.
Would love to win! I especially love the Pioneer Woman 🙂
Great going with the cleanup. I worked on my kitchen and laundry.. still more to go,
I’m reading The Pioneer Woman: Black Heels to Tractor Wheels now and would love to win her cookbooks, as well as the other books! Thank you for the continued motivation you provide.
Oh man! There are two books in that stack that I have been especially anxious to read. Would love to win!
I helped my mom do some cleaning yesterday so that took precedence over my to-do list.
It always feels great to wake up to a clean house! Good job!
I am also curious about the battery organizer! I love to make apple pies! There is something therapeutic about baking!
Your kitchen looks great! I had a 2-day migraine so got no extra cleaning done yesterday but I’m back in commission today!
I was able to get a little bit of cleaning done in the kitchen but I still have a long way to go to get it decluttered and organized for our move next month.
I’d love to win those books, a couple of them are on my wish list.
Thank you for another great giveaway. These books will come in handy, not just for me but to share with my daughters.
We are working on a slow clean out – a few things out every day! Every little bit helps.
I love that battery organizer! Today’s plan is to catch up on laundry and watch the snow fall 🙂
I’m feeling very overwhelmed lately with a lot of things, and your posts help me to feel like I can handle this – I just have to tackle things one thing at a time. 🙂 Thanks!
There are quite a few title in this stack I’d love to read!
Where did you get that battery organizer? I’ve never seen one before!
I’m impressed. My motivation and energy runs out by evening. If I don’t get it done before supper it’s not getting done that day. I didn’t get any deep cleaning or decluttering done in the kitchen but did start working through my list of christmas cookies and candies, which = less things in my pantry! I’m home all day today so I’m hoping to get a little more accomplished.
I feel like every time I get our kitchen cleaned, five minutes later its a mess! I love that battery organizer.
I’ve been away from home this week but I’m home now. So I’ll start tackling the cleaning today.
Great stack of books! 🙂
Thanks for inspiring me to get a deep kitchen cleaning done today!
I am behind, but you have inspired me to tackle each room before Christmas! Got most of the Kitchen done yesterday, woohoo!
Thanks for the inspiration to keep tackling our goals… Isn’t it amazing how you can have such a great day after maybe one that wasn’t so good? I also think with a to do list that it’s good to keep it real — if you make it too long and impossible to complete, you won’t do it and you’ll just beat yourself up for it.
I worked hard on my closet and dresser today. 🙂
I’d love to win and share these books!
Thanks for the giveaway – a couple of these are on my “get” list!!
There are some great books in that stack! Thanks for sharing with us. 🙂
its SO refreshing to know that even a successful mom of three older ones (my two are still toddlers) can struggle with completing every day tasks. I sometimes feel like I’m never going to grow in this area.
Also It was so nice to read about your day and just how “normal” you and your family are – sometimes when you know of someone online their life begins to look almost perfect.
I would jump for joy if I won these books! 🙂
Thanks for the reminder that I have a kitchen cupboard that needs to be wiped out. 🙂
I’d love that stack of books to read and share! But I’d really love that battery organizer. I’ve got to find that!!
Ha! Seems like I’m not the only one.I just browsed though the comments. 🙂
I love the battery organizer! Where did you get it? Thanks for the accountability! It has been a good motivator ☺️
It’s available here: http://www.amazon.com/Range-Kleen-82-Battery-organizer-Removable/dp/B000FNR726
Would LOVE a good stack of books!
Oh I love those Pioneer Womans Cooks cookbooks. I always check them out from the library. Such great recipes. I’m inspired by your cleaning posts!
We have a great battery organizer that we got from CVS in the after-Christmas clearance sale one year…it came FULL of batteries too! Love having the batteries organized. I’d LOVE to win even one of these books, but all of them would be a TREAT!
I’ve been wanting to read some of these! 🙂
Your posts all motivate me to try and do better. Love those books
I’d love those books! I did the kitchen today too, and organized pantry and several drawers that needed it. Plus jumped to the living room and vacuumed out the couch – lots of crumbs there. I need to look into a diffuser, I think.
I love your battery organizer! I am doing my organizing and cleaning this weekend!
I finally finished putting away some laundry from a trip last week. They weren’t “current season” clothes, so they just sat for way too long. Thanks for your blog!
I’m loving these stacks of books!
Thank you for inspiring me! My house looks cleaner too!
I would love these books!
Glad you are enjoying your new home. You are encouraging me to clean out as well. Thanks so much!
I would love to win this stack of books!
Ooooo…..Grace for the Good Girl is on my Amazon wish list.
Great job! I love that battery organizer. I may just have to go find on for myself.
Two refrigerators and two freezers tackled today – it’s great to know what’s in there…and now what is NOT! Would love the books.
I don’t yet have these books of yours, and I would love the Ree Drummond cookbooks!
Love the battery organizer…might need to get one of those. Right now we have all our batteries in an old baby wipes container. Great job on getting everything done!
I would love to win the books!
I would love to have those books!
I love the Pioneer Woman cookbooks and I have always wanted one! I can’t wait to see what is scheduled for day 4! Thanks!
Great books.
Love that battery organizer! We definitely could use one of those in our house.
Great stack of books too! I would love to read those over our Christmas break.
Glad you’re feeling better!
The main part of our house is spic-and-span after yesterday. On to the kid’s rooms today…ugh!
Oh, I’d love to win these books! I didn’t do any cleaning but did finally get out our humidifiers after weeks of saying that I’ll get that done. Dry skin and bloody noses will soon be a thing of the past!
Would love this stack.
That looks like a stack of books I could sink my teeth into. Love your messy and clean posts. Yours are better than mine, but I will get there!
I cleaned and organized our bathroom yesterday. You have inspired me to do more. 🙂
I accidently replied to someone else’s comment instead of an original comment. Oops! I am on book #146 of my 150 book goal this year. This stack of books would be a big help for me to reach my goal!
You are always inspiring and encouraging. Thanks for keeping it real.
What a great stack of books! I have your book on my kindle but would love a hard copy, and those pioneer woman books! IN LOVE. I love her show, would love some of her cook books!!
I need that gratitude journal in my life PRONTO! Congrats on the day’s success!
Way to go! I feel accomplished if I get half of my list done each day!
A cup of tea amd a good book..one of the simple pleasures in life!
These would be great to win! I love to read, and so do many of my friends…we would share. 🙂
You are such an inspiration!! I love the flexibility that the homeschooling as well as the work from home option has given your family.
Looks like your really making progress! I’ve spent the last three day just cleaning out our school closet but I’ve gotten rid of 12 boxes of books and supplies we are no longer using. Feels so good to be able to walk in and easily find things now. Looking for new reading material for the new year so I would love to win the books.
I’ve been on my own decluttering mission the last few months! It feels so good! Thx for all the encouragement to stay on track.
Great day! I ended up completing one child’s room and all the laundry, plus decorated the staircase with some Christmas ribbon. Today is grocery shopping, 1 more child’s room and if I make it into the master that would be amazing!
I’d love a stack of books!
I love hearing about your day, it makes things so real and authentic!
Ha! I want that battery organizer too! I’m off to check for it or something similar on amazon:)
I also love that battery organizer! I really need to tackle our junk drawer, but it seems like something more visible always needs done, too. Productive days feel so good, don’t they?
I cleaned out my fridge a few days ago and wow, did it feel good! I’ve also made a conscious effort to eat out of my freezer/cupboards for the next week or so as well!
OK, so yesterday didn’t go as planned. I wanted to get laundry and my kitchen cabinets and drawers done. Well, I got one drawer cleaned out! LOL But! I got almost all my laundry done (which was a lot). So I guess I got half my list accomplished. 🙂
Yay for you. I love it when I get everything done on my list. I’m recovering from being under the weather, so I didn’t get everything done I’d hoped to, but I’m pleased with what I DID get done yesterday.
Great job! I have been cleaning along with you however it’s taking me a little longer to do each day because I have daycare littles running around! Would really enjoy the books!
today seems like the perfect day to enjoy a cup of tea and a good book! watching snow fall gently outside!
yEAH, FOR organizing !
Great job. Inspires me to get moving this morning! I would love to win those books!
I got lots of errands and odd jobs done today too!
Would love to win those book
Would love to win and read through these books.
I did a lot of laundry and some general tidying but your post inspires me to truly clean my house before Christmas!
Thanks for all the decluttering/organizing inspiration – every little bit helps!
I love these posts showing your every day life clean and messy. ☺
Thank you !! Would love new books. I wasn’t very productive after schooling yesterday. Hoping to be so today.
Hey Crystal, I link up with you, but I accidentally clicked the wrong post to link up with, so now there are 2 link ups from me! I’m so sorry, I do not want to seem like I’m taking advantage of your link up! I am loving the challenge this week and have been really motivated. Thanks so much!
I love seeing your progress. Over Christmas break I attempt to tackle one room a day!
Yay for a successful day! Babysitting four extra kiddos today probably means a day off homeschooling, so I’m hoping for uber-productivity on this project instead. Your happy clean house pictures are the perfect encouragement to get me started – thank you!
What a nifty battery organizer! I think I need me one of those!
I’ve been decluttering too and its amazing how empty a fridge looks after cleaning it, mine looks so bare lol. I love your blog and info, thanks
Great job! It gives me hope that I will also be able to organize our home and our lives as we continue to adjust to life with our beautiful baby girl. There is a method to control the chaos – thank you for showing us!
I find it so great that you post imperfections (not a spotless house every minute!) I work fulltime and juggle a house and children. I love reading all your tips and find it easier to task myself once at a time rather than dump every chore to be completed in one day. Thank you for all your words of wisdom and encouragement!
Your site is such good motivation. I got nothing on my cleaning schedule done, but I did get to go to a play with one of my babies today. It was great to have one on one time with him!!
I got a lot more done today than
I thought I would. Since our move, our dining room became a junk room :/. I got it manageable today, it’s not clean but I know it will be in just a couple more days and that gives me hope! Thank you for your encouragement.
Very inspiring! The little things matter a lot.
What an awesome giveaway! Thank you!
Well I wish I could say I got my to-do list done. I did manage to clean out the chicken coop. And I think that was the most I got done. There was our normal tidying the house, nothing major. The laundry sat un-done, no vacuuming, no scrubbing the bathrooms, not much of anything. I wish I could say it was the pregnancy exhaustion or a crazy day with 3 kids 5 and under (both were true,) but I suspect it was my strong desire to do nothing shining through.
I LOVE that battery organizer and I noticed others do too! Can you share with us where to find it?
I am almost to my goal of reading 150 books this year (I am on book #146. This stack would help me finish my goal!!!!
I would love to know about the battery organizer too! That would make digging one out in the middle of the night for the smoke detector so much easier! LOL!
These would be great to win and share with others!
LOVE Lisa Leak and Ree Drummond….would be awesome to win this set of books!!
Thanks for keeping us moving. Great stack of books! I would love to win them to read and share
I’m a voracious reader and several of these books are on my “must read” list. Would love to win these. Thank you for being so generous!
I find such encouragement reading your website. I would love to win this stack of books and cookbooks (especially). Since my name is Paula Dean, my friends and family always find it funny to gift me Paula Deen cookbooks, so it would be nice to have some variety!
Would love to win all the cookbooks.
I find that it ALWAYS takes me longer to get organizational chores done… Thanks for your encouragement in this area. Several of the books in your stack are actually on my reading list! Lol
Joining you in cleaning my house for Christmas, it’s getting desperate over here!
I always love to win books! Looks like some good ones! It is always inspiring to see what you get accomplished. Where did you find the battery organizer? Love it!
I am constantly encouraged by you. Always good to know we are all in this mommy season together. Those books, oh dear. Almost bought pw yesterday. Would love them all!
I just love your blog! You’re so real and relatable! Thank you for your encouragement and advice! Have a great day! 🙂
You are definitely motivation me! 🙂 By the way, where did you get that battery organizer thing? I so need one of those!
*motivating* It’s too early for me to type! LOL!
Finished your list- great job!
I, too, am in LOVE with the battery organizer! Wow! 🙂
It’s so encouraging to see how much you get done in a day. Also you battery organizer is really neat. I’ve never seen anything like that. Great Job!
Amazing how strong we can be even when we are recovering. Glad you are feeling better and that you are motivated. These books are wonderful and I would be blessed to win them.
Enjoy your day today.
I almost completed my list yesterday. I ended up doing a few extra projects in place of ones on my list though. I cleaned out my freezer and made up 2 loaves of bread, tortillas, and chips for my family members that have food allergies. Looks like a great set of books. Love the battery organizer. We have the same one. Look for it on Amazon folks!
Thanks and hope you have a great day today!
where did you get that battery holder? I’d love one of those!
skne if these books are on my list. Would love to win!
My big church music thing is on Sunday so every day this week is filled with extra activities. No cleaning for me. Maybe next week.
Great job!
Loving your posts. You are so inspiring for this full time working Mom of two little ones. Truly Thankful. 🙂 Just received your “Say Goodbye to Survival Mode” and can’t wait to tell others about it! Would love to win those books!
Love your battery organization! We had our small group over so it was cleaning day at our house too!
Busy cleaning up after my sick little one
Love the battery organizer. My husband and I teamed up yesterday to clean up the house before we have company this weekend. He cleaned the bathroom and did the dishes; I did laundry and generally tidied up.
I’m so impressed! Good job
I am so intrigued by the diffuser – thank you for sharing your enthusiasm! Also, those books? They look absolutely fantastic. Here’s hoping – I’ll give them a very good home! 🙂
I’m always amazed at home much you accomplish. Love reading your blog!
Thank you
I would love that awesome stack of books!
Great Job! What I love most about your stacks of books is that they are largely books I can never find at the library. So excited to enter again!
I love all your challenges. They are so motivating and help focus my attention on a particular area of my house. Thanks!!!
I love these posts! Also, I’ve never seen a battery organizer like that – so helpful for the “junk drawer.”
You’re such an inspiration! We’ll be starting on day 1 today. (And I’d love to win the books-love to have a hard copy of yours and I’ve been really wanting to get the100 Days of Real Food!)
With a sick two year old I spent most of my day snuggling. Thankful he is feeling better today.
Wow, Crystal. Trying to rest in the fact that we are all unique in our seasons and accomplishments. Thank you for your desire to encourage & inspire. Would love those books!!
the battery organizer is really neat!
I have been working on thoroughly cleaning house before Christmas and seeing your posts about what you are getting done is keeping me motivated!
Love the battery organizer- must have one! I was wondering how to keep them from being stored touching (everyone is always shuffling through our stash), which is a fire hazard. I scrubbed & photographed my outgoing KitchenAid mixer to sell on ebay- the new one will be free after the sale & a rebate thanks to a deal found here! More cleaning to do- getting off the computer! Thanks for the giveaway!
I’m inspired by your decluttering, and would love to win the books, especially the gratitude journal!
Your productivity is inspiring! Awesome!
I love days like that! I always feel so accomplished 🙂
Great accomplishments – it’s all the small things that add up! 🙂
I’d love some new books to read! 🙂
I agree with so many others – this is so encouraging. You stay on task really well, I would have a lot more “and then for the next 20 minutes I don’t know what I did…” lines in a writeup about my day. 🙂
Good work! My Lazy Susan needs a good cleaning too! And my fridge!
Cleaning the fridge is on my list for this weekend-I can’t exactly get that done when I’m out of town! This evening I will be finishing Christmas shopping, since I’ll be in the big city (compared to at home), so that’s my project after work.
I love reading cookbooks. I need some new recipes to make.
So, half of those books are on my people’s Christmas lists. You would not only be decluttering, but helping me out with my Christmas shopping. A double win!! I really need to clean out my fridg….maybe today will be the day. Thanks for the inspiration!
That apple pie looked amazing! I wish I could say that I have been that great at de-cluttering since family is visiting soon, but I’m lucky if I get a few extra things done around the house in the evenings after work. I just have to keep reminding myself that this is not the season in my life to have a huge to-do list!
This series is helping me stay motivated for a week of deep cleaning.
Thank you for a chance of winning the books. I tend to be un-creative in my real-food cooking.
love the battery organizer!! Where did you get it? My house has a little more clutter than yours but it encourages me to clean and get rid of stuff:) I would love the books… I love to read!!
I need to learn to give away more!
i love your battery organization!
Great job! I see several cook books in that stack I’d love to win, so thanks for the chance!
Some great books! I invited friends over for lunch yesterday and it forced me to clean and finish my half-done decorating!
Love the battery organizer. Where did you get it?
Great stack of books! I would love to read them all!
Way to go! You really got alot done! It looks decluttered and peaceful!
Where can I find a battery organizer like that? Thats amazing!! I’m not sure how many times I lose batteries because they go everywhere! 🙂
You must tell us where you got the battery organizer- awesome!
Despite my kids being a little under the weather (mending from last week), I’m happy to be able to accomplish part of these tasks each day. I frosted 4 dozen Christmas cookies yesterday and then needed to clean the kitchen anyway! : ). It will be so nice to walk down into a clean kitchen/living room today! (I did have hubby pick up burgers so I wouldn’t have a dinner mess last night, but at least I cleaned, right? : ) Moms need a break sometimes!)
You bless me.
Cookbooks would be lovely!
I like your Blog Crystal: you are so inspiring for me! Keep doing it, please!
Wow, you really got a lot done today, that’s so great! Thank you for giving the chance to someone to win such a great stack of books. Keeping my fingers crossed! =)
Way to go on meeting your goals!
Hope the kitchen can get messy again soon as that pie looked fabulous!
Thanks for the giveaways. I’ve never tried that type of tea, and it could be great…
This would be an awesome Christmas present. Love reading books around Christmas time when I have some extra time (I teach full-time). Thanks!
Ooh! The Pioneer Woman books! Would love to win these!!
Love that you allowed yourself the 45 minutes…it may have seemed like wasted time, but it boosted your motivation to still clean after! And I love the battery organizer!! I hate trying to organize batteries!! Where did you get it?! Thanks for your post! Encouraged!
Thank you for the inspiration!
Please pick me!
Encouraged by how much you accomplish in a day! Glad you are feeling better! (Would love to win the books!)
I would love to win!
great stack of books!
Would love to win!!
I like your upright battery storage tray and I absolutely LOVE the look of your apple pie. I’m sure it was delicious!
Thank you for having another giveaway.

Great job getting everything done. I love that battery organizer. I haven’t seen anything like that before.
Would love to win these books 🙂
Great job! would love to win!
Wow! Good for you. I love the days when I get lots done.
Would love to win!
My day was not as productive as yours as far as cleaning!! Thanks for the give away =)
I’m glad you had a good day! Would love to win this great stack of books. I cleaned out my bedroom closet and my bedroom. It feels so much nicer to go to bed in a clean room.
Need to clean out my kitchen like that. Great stack of books. Would love to receive them!
So glad to read about your productive day! I just could not get motivated yesterday, but reading about your day makes me more determined to finish my list today.
Awesome! Would love these
I love that battery organizer!!!
and would love the books!
Would love to win!
My kids and I are cleaning too! It feels so much better when things are organized and put back or donated. Thanks for being so opened and sharing and challenging others.
Looks like some great books. I really need to get started on some cleaning and organizing.
Thank you for the chance to win these books!
I see several in that stack I’d love to add to my collection!
I am going to declutter my kitchen cabinets today!
Loving the momentum you’re picking up! Thanks for the chance to win some books! 🙂
Thx for the giveaway!:)
This would be so nice to have to read. Thanks!
You are inspiring! Would love to win a stack of your recommended books. Already have ‘Say Goodbye To Survival Mode’ but I know someone who would love it as a gift!
Would live to win the books! Thanks for the chance! Organized rooms are so nice, I just can’t function in chaos 😉
i’d love the books!
I’ve been scheduling my days in 30 minute blocks which helps me to stay more on task and be realistic about how long each task actually takes to complete.
Love your battery organizer. I would love to have those cookbooks.
I would love to win these books! My DIL has the Pioneer Woman cookbooks on her Christmas list and we could not buy them all.
Didn’t get any housecleaning done today. Instead I took a much needed nap, and then make cinnamon ornaments with my son. (I had hoped to make christmas-y ornaments, but he wanted to make Pooh-Bear ornaments for his sister, and Monster Truck ornaments for himself – so that’s what we did! It smells nice, even if it isn’t the gingerbread men and christmas trees I’d hoped for!)
It would be so awesome to win the books! I love reading cookbooks!
Looks like I need one of those battery organizers!!!
Lookin’ good!!!!!
Got laundry finished and made enough headway on my kid’s room to know that it will be a two day project (at least). She has a major disorganization problem- I think I had a system in place that was too complicated for her to keep up- how do I simplify, make her things accessible to her, and still keep it clean???
This is a fantastic book stack! Hope I win. 😉
Would love to win those books! Also would love to know where you got that battery organizer? Love it!
I was also going to ask about your battery organizer. Our junk drawer is a mess of scattered batteries! I’ve never seen anything like that.
I love that you post pictures of the before and after. And that you are honest about it. I’m really enjoying this series even though I’m not participating!
I would love these books 🙂
Your cleaning posts have inspired me! Love your blog!
Ooo. I want that gratitude journal so bad!!!! I keep telling myself my planner serves the same purpose
I didn’t get much cleaning done but I did get on the treadmill for 35 minutes!
What a wonderful day! Productive even with 45 min of surfing the net!
I would love these books!
I am just finding your clean house challenge and I will need to start this today!! And I would also love to win those books:) I enjoy your website and visit it often, thank you for all of your great tips and deals!
My daughter and I would love these! Thanks!
Pick me! Pick me! 🙂
I actually got the bulk of our house picked up today and vacuumed. This is huge. Thanks for the encouragement and chance to win!
I cannot even BEGIN to say how much you and your blog mean to me. I find encouragement when I need it; uplifting when all seems down; the positive attitude when I need it and you reaffirm that it’s ok to not be perfect. Thank you so very much!
Oooh, cookbooks? Count me in! 🙂
You achieved quite a bit! My goal today is to reorganize the craft room and work on finishing a few Christmas presents.
Would love to win these books!! You have so many good books!!!
My kitchen was a mess after making 5dozen Christmas cookies so I worked on that. Nice to wake up to a clean kitchen!
No cleaning for me today–but I did a bunch of Christmas baking.
I finally get to get my house in Christmas order today! I’m a full time student with four kids and just took my last final yesterday!
Inspired to actually start cleaning tomorrow. Did a lot of laundry to catch up from our week-long vacation, but still have a lot of packing and decluttering to do, and can’t wait to have that done so I can get ready for Christmas “stuff” I know will flood our house. My plan is the kitchen and family room for tomorrow!
What a productive day! That looks like a wonderful stack of books. Thanks for the giveaway!
Just a little cleaning today, since I was at work. Have to clean the fridge before food shopping today.
Would love those cookbooks! 🙂
Oh me me me I would love to win the books!
I would love to win!
These look like wonderful books! Thank you for your generosity!
That looks like a great way to organize batteries
I would love the cookbooks. I have had my eye on the 100 Days of Real Food cookbook & I love all of The Pioneer Woman’s recipes.
Would love to win those books! 🙂
Looks like a great stack of books, I would love to win.
Just got on the cleaning band Wagon. Doesn’t your battery organizer charge too. New books are always fun.
Your such an inspiration! I love how you manage your time. I’m working on my kitchen today thanks to you! Love Ree Drummond Pioneer Women show. Would love to have one of her cookbooks!
I was able to get a head on my laundry pile & do some much needed cleaning in the kitchen. I felt much better. It also helps when you make simple dishes, less clean up in the kitchen!
I would love to win!
These look like great books! I am also under the weather, so my cleaning consisted in planning. I made a master list of what needs to be accomplished before Christmas and tidied the office. Baby steps!
So nice to have good productive days!
I enjoyed the cleaning post. Now I would like to sit down with a cup of hot tea and 1 of your books!
Would love to win some new books!
Would love those cookbooks!!
Would love to win!
Thanks for the opportunity to win a great stack of books!
My cleaning is not going so well at all. Thanks for your step by step encouragement. Maybe tomorrow? I work in preschool all day today and know I’ll be too exhausted to do more than practice spelling words, cook dinner (more like reheat some leftovers!), and load the dishwasher. I would love to win your stack of books!
Oh, and they are not my spelling words–help my boys study theirs 🙂
I would love to win that great stack of books. I see many that I have on my “to purchase” list :). Thank you!
thanks for being such an inspiration and motivator……now off to wash my hair and put on some make up! Haha!!!
I am always so encouraged by the entries you choose to write about. You are so real, and such a genuinely encouragement! Thank You! I also think it is great that your kid’s are so involved in your challenges….you are teaching them such values, and as they see and help it will only help mold them too!!!! Have a wonderful day! 🙂
What a great day you had! And those books look great!
What a great stack of books. I love the feeling of waking up to a clean house!
I am very behind in my de cluttering quest…in fact I haven’t even started yet! :0 I’m on it today for sure! And, I’d love to win those books…it’s very generous of you to offer them.
Would love those books! After a busy week with a 3y/o, a 2y/o and being 7weeks away from baby #3 arriving, a new book and my feet up sounds amazing! Thanks!
I’ve just started getting into the oils. I will have to look into that diffuser. You had a very productive day!
I’ve wanted to read 100 Days of Real Food!
You’ve encouraged me to stick with it today! Thank you for sharing your life in the real world.
I work 2 jobs and come home by 8:00 pm but cleanup the kitchen and living room so that I feel good about it. Would really appreciate a copy of your book. God knows I do set backs and your blog keeps me on point.
Congrats on having a great day! It’s amazing how great it feels when you are getting back to health after a bad cold. Hope you have another great day today! I would love to win those cookbooks 🙂
I’ve been making my bed every morning and it makes it so much more pleasant to get into at night (and warms more easily with the heated blanket!).
That’s a great stack of books! I am so encouraged by you and your family! I love reading what you get accomplished, and that encourages me to push through my list as well. Mostly, though, I appreciate how you keep it real! Thanks for all you do Crystal!
I am always looking for new books (to me)!
I woo would love the books! Also, where did you get your battery organizer from???
Your posts are encouraging. I vacuumed off the kitchen counters and through some utensil drawers! There were crumbs in the corners and it worked great.
Your apple pie looks delicious! Congrats on a super productive day!
Congrats on finishing your list! Silas is so cute in the photo!
I recently bought a diffuser and I’m loving it! I’m currently just experimenting mixing a few single oils at a time, as that’s all I have, but I hope to decide on and save for a couple blends soon.
Oooooh, would love those cookbooks!
We didn’t much extra done in the way of cleaning today. Wednesday’s are pretty busy with homeschool, daycare and Awanas. But the dishes got done along with a load of cloth diapers.
Thanks for your posts! They are encouraging me to continue with my 15 minute cleaning/purging sessions. I love that battery organizer. Where did you get it?
Today tackled laundry – getting some done, folded, put away, and more started and dealt with papers & paper, and more paper that seems to multiply at a rapid rate. Slow going but the laundry getting folded & put away is a big one. 🙂
Love to clean up before Christmas comes too!!!
Not such a great day here. I spent most of it putting out fires with a complicated trip we are planning with some youth from church at the end of the month.
I didn’t have as much success today as the other day. I did finish writing most of my Christmas cards, yay. t hx
Several great looking cookbooks there! I would love to win them!
I got several things done, but not all. Had two appointments in-home today; a trip to grocery shop in Big Town (over an hour round trip, plus shopping time); then decided to take kids and join my husband for supper out before a meeting, again in Big Town, followed by picking up an order from one of the grocery stores. Not exactly a day set up to be productive for housework. 🙂
My bed did get new sheets and remade. The kids clean clothes are separated, for them to be put away. Other daily things were accomplished, but nothing above and beyond. I’ll try again tomorrow.
Sounds like a great day! Your pie looks awesome!
Started late, but looking forward to what the house will look like.
Oh this is the best stack yet!
You got a lot done today! I love your challenges. This one is something I really need to get on board with. Thanks
Congrats on a productive day!! Would love some of those cookbooks for presents to friends and family. Thanks for being so generous to your readers.
Congrats on getting everything done! I’m up against some crazy deadlines, so I can only live vicariously through your productivity right now, but I’m going to be doing some SERIOUS decluttering once I’m done!!
I didn’t get to clean today because I was at my husband’s regional Christmas Party all day. I am hoping to get caught up tomorrow! 🙂
So glad you had such a good day! 🙂
Today was a challenge, with a 19mo/ old who thought she was a monkey who was entitled to access everything that was not hers 😉 SO, the minute my husband got home (and I filled him in on my day -screaming toddler, Christmas family plans, potential job interview for myself this coming Monday (which we’ve both prayed for!) and dinner actually ready when he walked in the door), I was able to take a quick few minutes to myself and cleaned out our dining room buffet cabinet, four kitchen drawers, and the top of our dresser upstairs. I am praying tomorrow goes a little smoother, I could use a cleaned out refrigerator!!!
I finished straightening up my dining room!
I love that battery organizer!! Where did that come from?!?!
I completed my to do list today also (which almost never happens)!
You got a lot done today! I have been a little better with my time management. The internet is my downfall. I did get things picked up enough that my husband could finally put up our Christmas tree. The girls will be excited to see that in the morning.
Love these posts! & that awesome battery organizer!! Wednesday is our very busy day, so not much got accomplished on the house. Love seeing these awesome stacks of books – thanks for the chance to win!
With three little ones 6 and under, cleaning thoroughly and for long periods is rare! I try to do little things throughout the day and make a game of it to enlist the kids’ help.
Recently moved, so cleaning is part of my unpacking process. I already have a pile of things to donate in the garage and 3+ boxes in the house. Had to run some errands today and prepare to coach my son’s basketball team, so not much cleaning got done. Picked up the dishes and ran the dish washer and had dinner ready when we got home from practice. So it was a win in my books for the day.
I slacked so much today…my child was fed and we did go to boyscouts but the dishes are “soaking” for tomorrow :-/
Still working on moving and unpacking boxes – but finished with the family room today! The couches are finally set so the TV can be viewed from them. Hopefully the real cleaning will start tomorrow.
“It was so great to wake up to a clean house, the laundry all caught up, and a day with fewer to-do’s.” YES!!! THIS is why I strive to keep up with housework here too. I know, for me, that when my house gets cluttered & messy I can quickly find myself overwhelmed and unmotivated to do the simple daily tasks.
Kitchen got cleaned & I wiped down the exterior of the cabinets, made my bed today, and started a load of laundry (didn’t start early enough, so will have to sort/put away tomorrow).
Gah! I’m still waiting for your challenge that will help find our missing, overdue library book though! 🙂
Thank you Crystal for this wonderful place and for the opportunity to win the books.
Today has been somewhat productive: I washed, dried and folded 3 loads of wash, did 2 loads of dishes, made candles for favors for a Ladies Fellowship at church, also made some Christmas presents: Candy :), a Bracelet and some Earrings, and some Beeswax and Spice Tart Warmers.
Congratulations on your productive day! My to-do list is on temporary hold while I take care of my sick mom, but life goes on. The one item I will tackle this week is sorting and donating clothes my toddler has outgrown. One day at a time!
Cleaning went much better today, largely helped with my saying a thanks for everything I cleaned.
Thank you Lord for the shoes strew around and that we have enough to cover everybody’s feet.
Thank you for the dirty dishes that let me enjoy a filling breakfast.
Thank you for the pile of clean clothes and that we have so many options to wear.
Thank you for the stack of books that I look forward to reading.
Of course, I started to have to stretch some of my thankfulness… thank you for uh, enough breastmilk that my toddler can leave white spit piles on my table? 😛
Congratulations on your cleaning progress!
I love your challenges. This one is something I really need to get on board with. Thanks 🙂
Congrats on a productive day! Good for you! I started on our junk drawer this evening. Progressive is a good thing indeed!
Wow, you’re fridge looks amazing! And I love getting a glimpse into your day. You’re such an inspiration to me. 🙂
I would love to win! You’re an inspiration
Worked on the girls’ room today!
Got the kitchen pretty clean. Having play dates sure is a good motivator to keep things clean.
You had a really busy day! Thanks for a great book giveaway!
I would love the journal. I have three journals, one for each of my boys. I try to write to them every once in a while so they know what they were like when they were young (not so good at keeping up with baby books), and to share with them how God loves them and how much I do too.
I would love to win these books! Thanks for the chance!
I’ve been straightening up the house every night before bed, and making my bed every morning, and it’s just crazy how much that helps my day go smoother 🙂
After cleaning, sitting down to a relaxing book sounds amazing 🙂
I’m thankful for the cleaning challenge! Its so helpful to do a big project in little, intentional chunks. Thank You for sharing your life 🙂
I had a bit of a rough day. My husband is working two jobs so I can stay home with our eight month old, and he’s still at work at his second job and it’s almost midnight. We are having a hard time adjusting to him being gone so much. Today, I was totally “that person at the grocery store. I had my list, meal planning and coupons downloaded to the mobile app for our local grocery store. I was taking my baby so you all know what an event it is to go shopping with a little one. We got all through the store and went to check out and I realized I put in the wrong phone number! All of the deals were connected to my husbands phone number and I had entered mine! The cashier had already scanned and bagged up half of the groceries, and she said there was no way to reverse it. She had to cancel the transaction and we had to unbag it and re ring everything up! I felt terrible, but saving the money was so important. I kept thinking how hard my husband is working and every dollar matters. Thankfully, everyone was nice and I was very grateful to the cashier for understanding!
I’m really enjoying this series. Thanks! 🙂
That sounds like a productive day!
Looks great! I’ve never tried that oil blend but it may be on my next wish list 🙂
Wow that’s great!! I have a hard time with laundry with 6 in the house!! Especially now it’s cold and everyone is in long pants and sweaters!!!
Yay!! Good job!! I finally tackled the laundry pile today and cleaned the kitchen and living room nicely after dinner 🙂 thanks for the chance to win!
oh my gosh. I’m sure I don’t qualify seeing as I’m in Australia but that pile of books would blow my mind! I have barely read this year as I have struggled through so many huge set backs and disappointments, your blog is always a motivation to me, 🙂
You were definitely very productive today. Since we started getting a goosld amount of snow here. My husband took the 3 year old outside and i snuggled with the 3 month old. Because of the snow our drive home had taken a bit longer so I just enjoyed the quiet time.
I love the battery organizer too. Why have I never seen one before now??? It’s a great idea.
I always feel great when I get everything done that I wanted during the day. I just have to organize myself and start the day right.
I love that battery organizer in your junk drawer. And mmm I want some apple pie now. 🙂 I currently have the ‘100 days of real food’ from my library, but would love to own it. Thanks for the chance.
It always feels good to have such a productive day. Your home looks very neat and organized. Am hoping to have a few good productive days before Christmas. The spirit is willing, but the body hasn’t been so much. Thankfully there is another chance tomorrow and still a bit of time ahead. 🙂
After a full day of work then the supper/homework/bedtime routine with the kids and then an errand, I don’t feel like I cleaned a thing today except dishes. Oh well…maybe tomorrow!
I would love to win these books! And because of this post, I just added a battery organizer to my Christmas Wish list:)
This is a great idea to clean the house for the holidays! Hope I win the books:-)
Yay for decluttering!
You are so inspiring and apple pie looks great!!!!:/)
I cleaned a bathroom!! Not much but progress for me
We are having new windows installed early next week, so I tackled the areas around them and rearranged the rooms a bit to make them easier to access!!
The artisan bread book looks interesting! My husband is such a bread lover!
Ooh, I would love to win the books! My cleaning to-do list is similar, and I’m making good progress. I am hosting 15 people for Christmas dinner, and I just realized that I will be 38 weeks pregnant on Christmas. YIKES! 🙂
You go girl!!! Also, take as much help as you’re offered 🙂
My lazy susan needs clean, too, Thanks for the reminder.
You did a lot! 🙂
I love all the books! And I’m loving your battery organizing tray.
Took the day off and did some Christmas shopping with friends.
You are inspiring me! I have begun to create goals and lists, and have more to show for my days. Thank you!
My son (6 mos old) was too demanding today to get anything on my cleaning list done today. The one thing I did do was a dry run of our taxes to make sure we will be in good standing with EOY looming.
Those look like great books. I love the pioneer woman’s website – her turkey brine saved Thanksgiving this year!
Yay for a great day! Would love to have a chance to win these books!
Great job! As my Irish husband would say, “You’re going well!” Where did you get the battery organizer? I have never seen one, and it is a super idea!
There are some books in that stack that I would love to read! It was a productive day for me as well…but not in the kitchen!
Thanks for the inspiration! Will start on the deep clean tomorrow. 🙂
I’m being inspired to declutter and deep clean my house! It needs to be done…especially since we’re possibly listing out house for sale within the next week or so.
Congrats! I have only finished everything on my list ONCE since my son was born! He’s 19 months now so those days would be on the horizon again, but now I’m expecting another in February!
I have been wanting 100 Days of Real Food so this stack is my favorite so far! =]
A long day with my special needs kiddo yielded little extra cleaning, but we tackled the laundry pile and got the kitchen all of the way clean after dinner. (It’s the small wins along the way that count!) Everybody is tucked in bed and we can tackle big things again tomorrow!
So glad your day was so good! Don’t we all wish every day could be like this. I have a cold coming on I was a little slow today in getting a lot done but very thankful for what I was able to get done!
Would love to get a chance to read those books. And I wish my junk drawer were that clean. I definitely need to tackle organizing it!
We’re switching our boys bedrooms around, so today I focused on cleaning out closets and moving furniture around. Unfortunately it’s a mess right now as I didn’t have time to finish, but hopefully by tomorrow evening it will be much better!
Good for you for what you accomplished today! I’d love to read some of those books.
I’m inspired by your productive day! And blown away by that battery organizer haha 🙂
I would love to win your books! I kinda did my own nesting/cleaning challenge this month and last month. With baby number 4 due in twelve days, I’ve got a nice clean house and have been keeping up on the laundry! Let’s hope we can all keep it that way! 🙂 A little extra reading material for the hospital would be awesome!
those looking great books! And I need to read this challenge. It’s something I need to do!
I’d love to win the books and I really enjoy your blog! 🙂
I tell ya… I’m still really really loving this challenge. My husband was home for the day -so he kept our little guy entertained for a big part of the morning – so I washed up the bedding and really deep cleaned the main floor bathroom/laundry room. I’m feeling so good about our (new) house since beginning this challenge and my husband (along with myself) is really impressed at the house coming together as fast as it is this week! Thanks again for the chance to win a great looking stack of inspiring books! I would love to read/share them and begin using your gratitude journal. Take care and, again, keep it all coming!!
I got out of bed late and that just threw off my whole schedule. I kept up on dishes but that was about it. God’s mercies are new every morning right?
Today was a good day & I finally got the kitchen all done being cleaned out. Feels good. Still have a few things to tidy there, but making LOTS of progress. Also, tackled some of the closets and have a bag of donate & sell items. Thanks for your encouragement with these projects.
Ok — I’m jealous! We’ve had meetings every night at our church and I have not had one good cleaning day yet! BUt….tomorrow’s another day! Thanks for the encouragement! Love the list of books too!!
Tomorrow is my day off and I’m planning to tackle a few projects myself before I head to church to volunteer for awhile!
I worked on dishes again today, and so did the husband. They’re almost finished! Maybe we’ll finish them by the time this baby arrives. 😉
I make lists, but I rarely get to finish them. Right now, I’m making gifts for my husband and my boys, so that cuts into my “free time”. I do plan to start the new year off by creating a daily schedule and getting a good routine going.
I’m loving the encouragement! We are finishing up school this week but I’m trying to get a few things organized/cleaned out also!
I would love to win the books! Your book on survival mode would be amazing! Just had my 3rd boy and my husband is a police officer and just got told he has to work night shifts for the next 6months. I feel
Like I’m surviving, not living! Thanks for all your help and encouragement.
Hi Crystal, thanks for this opportunity! Would love to win the stack of books and tea! I’ve had my eye on the 100 Days of Real Food for awhile now!
Still hoping to win those books! Great job today!!
Looks like some great books! Glad you had such a good day.
Great job today! We have a few junk drawers in our kitchen that need to be organized. That battery organizer is a great idea!
I began to tackle the coat closet. Thanks for the encouragement.
I love that you are able to keep it real on your home posts, and there is something fun about seeing in your fridge 🙂 Also, always great to hear about your day with work and home school and family time!!! I pulled sheets and blankets off of our bed and ran the laundry today with those items, now am off to make the bed…the reward, knowing that the sheets are clean and cozy when you climb in…ahhh…anyone else love fresh, clean sheets??
What a fun collection of books! Would love to add them to my library!!
Thank you for the encouragement & motivation to clean our homes!
Love reading your blog – always amazed by how much you accomplish a day – I really need to do a better job on time management. Books look great – really interested in some titles I see – here’s to hoping for the stack (I love books)
You’re so inspiring! I got my kitchen and living room surface cleaned but needs a good deep clean. Gonna start your 4 weeks to a more organized home in a couple days
I also cleaned the refrigerator and kitchen. Was planning to clean up my handbag. But ended up taking way more than expected in kitchen cleaning.
Yay for a productive day!
I had a long, ambitious list for today, but somehow go almost nothing done!
Crystal your posts always make me happy. I know you’re not “superwoman”, even if it looks that way. Honestly I never feel less then when I read a post like this or a similar post. I can get nothing done and still feel encouraged somehow. Thanks. My week got derailed Monday and still hasn’t gotten back on track so maybe tomorrow will be the day.
Thank you so much for your sweet encouragement! I’m cheering for tomorrow to be a great day for you!
I got some cleaning done, but I think I messed some stuff looking for the spare flashlight. Doh! Hope the storm that is hitting california is not too bad.
So inspiring! I am desperately trying to get my life together! Thanks for the chance to win! Merry Christmas!
I’ve had my eye on Ree’s cookbooks for a while! 🙂 I tried to fill out the “Mr. Winky’s Magical Widget” but I’m not sure what URL I’m supposed to put in there? Anyway, I did not get much cleaning done today even though my house desperately needs it…we’re in week 3 of being sick (not all at once, thus the 3 weeks). Now it’s baby’s turn for croup. 🙁 We’re diffusing Thieves and Christmas Spirit, plus lemon & Purification at bedtime with the baby.
Done by 8:30…amazing! Love your blog and your 5 days of cleaning! I would love to be reading the stack of books by Christmas…in my CLEAN house! 🙂
Your books AND tea for my hubby? Today’s prize would be even better! 🙂
I admire your dedication. I’m in the middle of moving so I’m not even going to try. Oh, but I love cookbooks! Some new inspiration would be great 🙂
love the diffuser idea!
Good job finishing!!! Would love some of those books 🙂
Way to go! You are so inspiring. I finished up the living room and went through and cleaned our bathroom which was much needed. It definitely helps to wake up to a cleaner house and encourages me to keep going!
i would love to win these books! Thank you! I deep cleaned both bathrooms today 🙂
Just had to leave a comment, many of those books are on my wish list and would live to win them!
I sure need to get into a cleaning routine – then I would have more time for some good books! Lol!
We didn’t clean much today besides some vacuuming and simple tidying so a backup nanny could come watch our two boys under two and my hubby and I could get a day date!
Thanks for inspiring me!! Maybe… just maybe I’ll tackle my lazy susan cabinet this week!!
Looks like a great set of books. My fridge got an unplanned cleaning after a spill today. You may just have inspired me to wipe out cupboards. Mine need it desperately.
Looks like some awesome book choices there!
Didn’t get home until late, so maybe tomorrow I can tackle those projects! !
Impressive! Would love to win these books especially your gratitude journal!
I just love reading your posts like this!! Thanks to you, I’ve gone to bed being satisfied by the cleanliness of my house haha! Keep up the good work 🙂
you had ur cape on today didn’t you super mom! way to go!!
I’m hoping this will be my day tomorrow! We just got over the stomach flu and I spent today catching up on laundry and dishes that I was BEHIND on. Ugh.. 🙁 but reading your posts helps me think it’s all possible to do and to get things done easily! 🙂 thank you!!
I am always amazed at how much you get done in a day! I would love to win the pile of books – they look interesting…..
Hooray for such a productive day! I teach preschool but when we break for the holidays I planning to take a week to do a thorough house cleaning. Hope you’re back to 100 percent soon!
I’m really enjoying this challenge! Thanks crystal!
What a great collection of Inspiration!
Good work! I love to clean my fridge.
I want my junk drawer to look like that 🙂
Didn’t get much cleaning done today…praying tomorrow will bring better success!!
Glad you had a great day, Crystal! Ours was pretty productive and smooth, too. I tackled some organization in the craft room and the girls worked on some Girl Scout badge work in lieu of lessons since we’re on homeschool break. There are some great books there – I’d love to win!
Way to go! You got a lot accomplished. I’d really like to try a diffuser one of these days. Yours is really pretty!
Hi Crystal! I commented to your post from yesterday, too. I’m really enjoying this! Trying to keep up with it myself but with both of my kids being sick it’s a little tough. I would like to win those books though. 😉 Thanks for posting!
Looks like several of the books on my want to read list there! Great job on the cleaning!
Were did u get the defuser and oils?
We got them off of Amazon.
Would love to win your stack of books! Actually creating my own little library in one of my spare bedrooms!! These books would be a great addition!
Good job on checking off the whole list! Would love to win some inspiration for the kitchen! Thanks for the chance.
