We had parfaits for breakfast one morning — using closeout cereal, yogurt I’d gotten with the Kroger digital deal, and some chocolate chips from Aldi. Yum!
Kierstyn and I have been having lunch every day in my office and listening to Little House in the Big Woods on Hoopla.
After lunch, we then we read together, sing together, read our ABC Memory Book, read a passage from The Jesus Storybook Bible.
We used the frozen bananas + Greek yogurt + chocolate tahini I’d gotten marked down + peanut butter to make smoothies for breakfast one morning.
Jesse stopped by Aldi to pick up a few things. My rule of thumb is that we only go to Aldi in addition too Kroger if a trip there will save us at least $10 over what we’d pay at Kroger.
We made Apple Nachos for breakfast one morning — just slice up apples and then drizzle with warmed up peanut butter, chocolate chips, granola, and peanuts. It was delicious!
This week’s Kroger shopping trip — I was excited to find some meat markdowns and fruit/veggie markdowns!
We love this meal — potatoes, peppers, and sausage in the crock pot.

Do you have a recipe for the potatoes/sausage crockpot meal? As in, any seasonings or how long to cook it? Seems yummy and easy!
Darci M Foster says
Yes, Please share the recipe for your peppers, sausage and potatoes. It looks yummy!
Crystal Paine says
We never use a recipe… just throw what we have on hand in the crockpot and cook it until done. 🙂

I was so pleased to be able to find some Mild Italian Turkey sausage this week for $1.99/pound, and $1.99/pound of the meat counter ground turkey. I hardly ever have had success, but I’ve stuck with it. Treasure hunting is worth it!
Crystal Paine says
YAY!!! That’s a great price!

Apple nachos sound amazing! I bet they were really good 😊
Christine says
That sausage crockpot meal looks delicious! Is there anything else you add (besides, obviously, the sausage, peppers, and potatoes)? Yum! 🙂

I got this same cereal on clouds out at my Kroger here in Kansas this week too! I paid $3.09 (original price marked at $6.19) and I got $1 back for it on ibotta. We used it for snacks and yogurt parfaits too!
Laura says
Close out…not clouds. Sorry!
