There weren’t that many great deals at Kroger this week, so I ended up just spending $60. We’ll roll over the additional $10 to use next week or save for a week when there are more good deals.
Silas had 8 baseball games last week between the two teams he is on… needless to say, we had a lot of snacky meals! I try to pack more than I think people will eat — and then we have options to choose from!
Have you tried this ice cream? It’s one of my favorites! I’m happy there have been so many ice cream deals recently!
I also love Pink Lady apples and was excited they were on sale for $0.97/lb this past week.
Potatoes were $1/bag for the 5-lb bag! We already had a few bags, so I only bought three!
And I found some great meat markdowns — including a roast!
I’m loving the Dill Pickle Salad and am always happy when I find it marked down!
Four of Silas’ baseball games were in Murfreesboro, TN so we got to finally try out this doughnut shop that had come highly recommended to us!
The doughnuts were so fresh and delicious!
And guess who had a birthday?? She turned two!

Do you still include your meals for the week? I’m spending about $300 for my family of 5 a week and am trying to figure how you do it.

I’ve been sharing some of those most weeks and I often share more details on IG stories. I’ve had so much nausea this entire pregnancy that we’ve kept food really simple!

There’s a new Donut place in Murfreesboro that I think is better than Donut Country. It’s called Joe & Dough. If you get back down this way, you have to check it out.

Oh! Thanks for the recommendation! I LOVE doughnuts — especially from local shops!

Hi,
I actually had to look up what dill pickle salad was. I had never heard of it. I don’t think they sell it around me.

I happened to see it marked down one day and bought it and fell in love!

That ice cream!! My youngest convinced me to buy it last week and it is SO good!

YES!

What are your plans for all the potatoes? Do you ever freeze them? Have extra potatoes and not sure what to do with them!
Crystal Paine says
We eat them often so I’m not too worried about using them up in time. We’ll just do a few more baked potatoes and twice baked potatoes and mashed potatoes as sides.
