We haven't gone shopping yet this week. Instead, we've been busy finishing up all the cooking and baking for our After-The-Baby Freezer Stash (it's done and our freezers are stuffed plum full!), finishing up the final preparations for Baby coming, and spending lots of special family time together.
The girls and I have also been enjoying a number of books we've gotten free, thanks to PaperBackSwap. Have I mentioned recently just how much I love that service? We're building our children's library for practically free thanks to PBS!
While it's great to snag bargains on items you need, some weeks it's nice to just stay home and enjoy what you already have. Meredith has a great post up on Simple Mom today which reminded me of just that.
Did you snag any great deals or bargains this week or save in other ways? If so, be
sure to post about them on your blog and leave your link below. Please
remember that this weekly round-up is to share deals you personally got
this week and/or money you were able to save this week. Links which do
not specifically relate to this will be deleted. Also, to make it easy
for everyone to navigate quickly through
the links, your link must link directly to your Super Savings Saturday
post.
You simply can’t beat CVS for the deals….I wish I knew about how to do this years ago….Just to think about how much money I have blown elsewhere when I could have been going here. But better late than never right?
He he… you do know your younger kid is holding her book upside down right… so cute 🙂
I went to a garage sale and got a cubby shelf for my kids shoes for $5! My husband thought it must be God’s provision a. because we discussed needing one several times over the last year b. it has 5 rows, and 5 slots and we have 5 children, and c. I paid $5 for it. Pretty funny…
Also got some boxes (with 4 bags brown rice in the boil-in bags) for $1.15 a box on closeout. Got a mortar and pestle for $2-been wanting one for forever. And some nice pillow cases for .25. And a few other grocery deals, of coarse. It’s fun seeing what others got and how they saved $.
I read The Little Kitten when I was little and loved it–hopefully my Mom still has it in a box somewhere! 🙂
I named my cat Pickles after The Little Kitten. One of my favorite books as a kiddo! 🙂 Glad to see someone else is loving it, too.
Staying out of the stores definitely helps save money. We were sick for a couple of weeks and we saved a ton of money by just using up what we had here because we were not feeling well enough to do much shopping! Thanks for letting us link!

God bless you & yours through this eventful time of your lives. Thanks for letting us link to your blog.
I accidentally posted one of my sister’s posts on comment 122…it has nothing to do with grocery savings….
Thanks for the opportunity to share our deals!! I visit your site daily.
It is really fun checking out everyone else’s deals and being able to share. Thanks so much!! 😀 Best wishes and get some rest 🙂
I posted my “Mr. Linky” for the first time ever! Thanks for the opportunity. I have learned SO much by reading this blog. My husband figured that this week I saved over $100!
It seems like 3 out of 4 Saturdays in recent weeks you have skipped shopping or waited a few extra days to go. This is probably one of the biggest reasons you save so much, staying out of stores! =)

Money Saving Mom here: Or maybe it’s because I’m just more tired these days. 😉
Though I definitely do know that staying out of the stores has been a huge help in allowing us to save money. I’m going to challenge myself to make food from the pantry this week, too, instead of shopping. We’ll see how it goes!
I love SSS and reading about everyone’s deals- Thanks!
As always, thanks for the chance to link up my deals!
Enjoy these last few weeks before baby comes! It looks like you’ll have two good little helpers to carry diapers and fetch blankies! 😉
Take care
