After tackling an enormous pile of post-trip laundry, I headed out for a fun shopping trip by myself this afternoon. (I know I might be weird, but grocery shopping is something I really enjoy–especially when I’m not rushed!)

hi all! im sharing my target & macy’s finds for the week.
Great deals,Crystal! I shop Aldi’s too,but our store doesn’t seem to have the prices you are getting produce for.
I hate grocery shopping (and any other kind of shopping), and going to multiple stores really stresses me out. I do most of my grocery shopping at Aldi. I wish our nearest health-food store had sales, but I never see anything on sale there.
I have been meaning to ask where you live…because this Health food store sounds like a really great store for deals. If it isn’t far from us..I would love to be able to check it out. My son is on a totally no gluten, no dairy, no soy, diet, and we use a lot of organic foods. If I could find a place a little cheaper other than Whole Foods or Dillons, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Have you tried the grapes at Aldi?! They are AMAZING! I am going back!
I love Aldi’s produce; it’s much better than Wal-Mart’s where we live.
Look at all those fruits and veggies! And people don’t think couponers don’t eat healthy! Awesome haul. 🙂
Thanks for the link-up. So wish we had an awesome health food store like you!
Thanks for the link-up!
I tried to leave a link back to my post about Target finds, but I’m not sure it worked. Great site and thanks for letting me post!
Sprinkles are on my grocery list, too. I top them on smoothies and sandwiches for my kids, it makes them more enticing. I figure its worth the sacrifice of a pinch of sugar crystals if it means they’re gonna down a big glass of pureed fruit, yogurt, and organic spinach! !
I like grocery shopping, too, Crystal! Oh, and I also like shopping using free product coupons as I used a couple of mine this week, too! Welcome back!
I love using my free product coupons paired with ECBs or RRs. Or even b1g1 promos.
Thanks for the link-up. I had a decent shopping week…but made a big couponing mistake! Live and learn 🙂
I left a link to my weekly yard sale finds, but I ended up posting it twice by accident. I’m sorry about that. Please delete the first link with just my name!
I am envious too! 🙂
We have Aldi’s, but the prices are much higher for some reason. I got so excited about $.99 strawberries, but when I got to the store they were $1.59. 🙁
I at least have a great produce stand nearby that helps me stay within our $100 budget.
The cheapest strawberries here are $2.50.
I am so envious of your produce prices Crystal. I wish there was an Aldi around here.
Aldi is such a treat. The nearest one to me is one hour so I try to combine it with a trip to CVS and Kroger. But, it is worth it. I try to stock up on fresh dairy and produce while there. Last time I saved almost $150 at the 3 places combined.
You’re not weird, Crystal! I love grocery and drugstore shopping – I’m not getting anything “exciting”, but I’m saving my family money and that’s always fun. 😀
You got some great deal and a lot of freebies! I’m anxious to see what you’re going to do with 10 pounds of banans and 4 boxes of strawberries.
A lady in my homeschooling group was having a moving sale and I didn’t get there till late in the day, and she charged me just $.10 each for **tons** of beautiful, great books! I bought 54 books for $5.40!
Wow Jessica that is awesome!
Awesome deals! I love going to Aldi’s now. It really helps me out in a pinch. I actually started going there because of the website. Funny how people from town once said no no don’t go it’s to expensive and now I just laugh at them. Now if only we had a health food store..
I’m going through your site and I need to work on creating a budget for groceries and for life. I just am so overwhelmed by both that I get frustrated and give up. Though I did pay off one small credit card and even convinced myself don’t use it again when I needed a crock pot. Instead, I sat aside my twenty dollars and bought one that’s got good reviews from a different store. Now, only two more credit cards to work on along with student loans and the car.. whew!
Anyway sorry this turned longer then expected.. Keep up the great work on the site and enjoy the time with your kiddos!
I attempted to use my free Herbal Essences & free Pantene coupons at our Base Exchange overseas yesterday, only to find out that the lady working the register took both of my coupons but only used one of them. 🙁 It wasn’t worth trying to explain the mistake to customer service because the employees speak very little english. Next time I’ll use my awesome coupons at the Commissary where they know how to handle them! 🙂
You always get the greatest stuff at your health food store! I wish my store had as many mark downs. Good for you!
thanks for your post , I tell my husband its better then therapy to go and shop and not be rushed, its a treat to be in my own head keeps me sane.lol
I enjoy grocery shopping too. And prefer it even more if I can be alone and not rushed. No one usually like s to go with me though because I go down every isle, compare every price against coupon vs generic, size, and quality and quantity. As well as look for discounted items that aren’t even on my list. If I have someone with me it completely stresses me out and I spend way more money on items i don’t need or can afford, Also if I am able to take my time, I can actually have fun, finding the best deals and sometimes even super super deals which make me very happy, and I am relaxed afterwards
I used my free tampons coupons at walgreens… That way I got RR too!!
oh great idea! Did you get them this week+ Are the rr still available? I havent used mine yet
I did the same w/ my Aussie and HE free coupons.
