If you read this post, you likely clued in to the fact that I didn’t do any shopping of any kind this week. In fact, it’s been almost 14 days since I’ve done any shopping of any kind!
Jesse did make a quick stop to buy milk, bread, and a few other essentials, but I didn’t step foot in any store all of this week and almost all of last week, too. To tell you the truth, it felt really nice.
However, after only one quick shopping trip in two weeks, we’re running quite low on some essentials so I’ll certainly be making a fairly large grocery run this next week and I definitely refreshed and ready and ready to do some more deal-scoring! (If only I had all my coupons in order, though! Anybody want to come over for a coupon organization party?! It’s amazing how quickly they can get out of hand when I let them be for a week or two!)

How’d you do this week? Post about the deals and bargains you were able to snag this week on your blog (with pictures, if possible!) and then come back here and leave your link below.

You have been such an inspiration to me for so long. I started reading your Biblical Womanhood site a couple of years ago. It is still my favorite of all the sites I read. I also love your Money Saving Mom site. I can’t begin to tell you how much money you have saved my family!! The Lord allowed me to find your sites and has used you to encourage me in so many ways of being a Keeper of my Home. May the Lord continue to bless this ministry.

Hi all-
I’ve been lurking for several weeks, but I thought I needed to pass on this unbelievable deal for those of you in the Kansas City area…
Price Chopper has a deal through next Tuesday, July 22: Buy 10 32 oz. Powerades at $.88 each, get 5 free (with ChopperShopper card). After the $1/1 coupon in the 7/13 SS, that means you get 15 free!! Holy smoke, that’s a whole case! There’s no limit printed in the ad, so I’m going back until they kick me out. The first time I got $1.20 overage, too!
Of course, you have to scrounge up 10 copies of the insert, but I lucked out and got to the recycling bin right after a distributer dropped off the papers they didn’t sell Sunday. I got very newsprint-y, but I will never be thirsty again!

I’m so glad you’re doing this blog. I’ve been reading a while but this is my first time commenting. I think it’s admirable how you and your family are able to live so frugally – living like no one else. Keep it up! Some day you’ll be able to LIVE like no one else!!

I wanted to share an additional coupon on the photobooks …
The photobooks are considered a CVS product and the CVS coupon machine is spitting out $2 off $10 coupons. So get 2 6×8 photobooks for 15.98 use the -3/15, -2/10, -3 (x2)(photobook from newspaper I don’t remember which one – use two of them) and you are getting 2 photobooks for $4.98 and still getting $15.98 back in ECBs! You’ll have to use a filler item to use the right number of coupons … But it is a great moneymaker and the photobooks are great gifts. Although be prepared to wait — it took a long time for them to print and bind my photobooks.

My savings came from yard sales today! I got several “gifts” for my family, which I will put away in my gift box!
Garage Sale # 1 A beautiful table cloth with hand done cross stiching. $1.00. The money went to the Animal Advocates.
Garage Sale #2 A Yankee Candle (new) for $1.00, a brand new pair of never worn earings , sterling silver and real garnets 50 cents, two necklaces, 50 cents each, and a marble coaster set for $1.00. All money went to a youth group going to Uganda.
Yard Sale #3 A brand new ice- cream maker $2.00.
Yard Sale #4 Two clown noses for 10 cents each! (stocking stuffers)
The best part was that some of my spending went to help others, and I had decided to only go to yard sales close to home, so I would not be spending too much money on gas.
Hope some of you got some great yard sale deals, too!

I didn’t do much grocery shopping at all this week either, but I did stock up on some school supplies at Walmart.

I have been reading Money Saving Mom for a few weeks now. I am new to blogging and am still figuring everything out. I have been signing up for the freebies and did the deal on the post earlier this week getting the travel size Kotex pads and Gold Bond Ultimate hand lotion for free! Thanks for the good info!
