Do you have extra coupons you'd love to exchange with someone for coupons you could use? Samantha emailed me a great tip:
The coupon group that Samantha mentioned joining is here. There are coupon exchange groups on HotCouponWorld.com, AFullCup.com, as well as a variety of other places. If you've found a great place to exchange coupons, let us know in the comments section.
In addition, don't forget that you can send your expired coupons to military families. Read more about the Coupons for Troops Program here.

Unbelievable how many new members signed up for my group! I love that we can share our coupons.

I LOVE trading coupons!!! I do a lot on AFC and through my moms group. themommiesnetwork.com, we have coupon swaps all the time! I’ll have to check these other ones 🙂

These are all great ideas! I would also like to recommend my little method too:
I found (2) other couponers through Freecycle as they posted their unused coupons through them.
I got their coupons and asked if they would like to swap just once a week.
So I pick them up and make drop offs on my weekly errands into Baltimore!
If any of us are looking for a particular coupon, we can send a quick email out to request it!

I am in a Yahoo coupon train as well – A-1 Coupon Train. The bset part is that they specialized trains – ones just for frozen food or cleaners or coupons with .55 to .99 value. It’s a great way to get extra coupons and coupons you don’t have in your paper.

Thanks for posting about this, i thought it would be a great topic. I’ve only been a real couponer for a year or so, so im still getting the hang of it. This is why im enjoying the yahoo group because its really simplistic, with no muss no fuss just as long as you participate. But the bigger forums do look very impressive and seem to be very organized (i’ll have to try them when i eventually work my way up the coupon ladder).

People also trade coupons on my website. You can post on your profile coupons you need or offer and you can also trade in the Coupon Swappers Group or Coupon Train Group

I enjoy coupon trading but sometimes trains get out of hand. I like coupon trains who have a maximum number of coupons that remain in the train so that shipping costs aren’t astronomical. One train that I was on a few months ago ended up costing me $15 to ship, and I didn’t get more than $3 in good coupons out of the deal. I prefer trading between 1 or 2 people rather than a group after these types of experiences.

Thanks Crystal! I was able to sign up again as well.

Crystal, Thank you! I contacted the military family coupon program and they have been so overwhelmed with people offering to do this that they now have a “waiting list”‘ for donors! 🙂 So, I needed another alternative for my coupons that I do not need or use. Thank you for this!

I trade at HCW (map332) and AFC (332pca) also. 2 new site that are really good also are weusecoupons.com (332pca) and ourcouponhome.com (pam123) I love the coupon trains. I have one going now on WUC – its a wishlist train with 6 other riders you post your wishlist and the other riders send you 20 + coupons from your list. So you get over a 100 coupons in all. I just traded some free poligrip for snuggles $3/1, some $2 discover for snuggles also and some All $2/1 for snuggle (I have about 15 $3/1 snuggles coming to me). This is to share between 6 people lol. One more thing to check out is MIR (mail in rebates) i love them especially the NBPR (no beer purchase required). I just got 2 in the mail yesterday 1 for $25 and 1 for $6. The $25 was spend $50 in meat/fish and get $25 (most does not have to be on 1 receipt). I have one now for buy $30 in meat, snacks, soda, bottle water, buns condiments and get $10. I made over $300 + for the year doing this thanks to these sites. And thanks to moneysavingmom.com also for all the great deals she sends my way it is really appreciated!!!! Pam

Go to msn.com Women in Red message boards and then to the Grocery Challenge. The women on this board are wonderful and we have a no strings attached coupon trading system in place. We share everything from coupons, shopping tips, alerts to great deals, recipes, and on and on.

I’m a member of the same Yahoo Coupon Exchange group that you linked to. I’ve been a member for about 2 years, and it’s been great!! I’ve gotten so many great coupons, and for only the price of sending out whatever I have and don’t want. I highly recommend it!!!

I really like this idea, being able to exchange vouchers for something you are more likely to get use out of, otherwise there isn’t much else you can do with it.
P.S. Your website looks broken in the latest version of firefox – the top banner disappears

I like FreeStuffTimes.com for my coupon trading. Everyone there is great! One women sent me 13 $3/1 Snuggle coupons and when I asked what she wanted in exchange she said, surprise me! How generous is that!

we have a local area group of moms that have an online board where we get on and chat and talk about day to day stuff. one of the things we do is have a coupon swap about once/twice a month.

We have a coupon exchange box at our church. Everyone just brings in what they don’t use and takes what they can use. It makes it nice because I don’t have to mail anything or wonder when I am going to get something that I need.

I have traded quite a bit on Hot Coupon World. It is great for me because I don’t have access to very “good” coupons in the newspaper. I have also found HCW to be a great resource to see ads for stores where I shop, get ad previews, and other good deals sometimes I don’t notice. I highly recommend it!!!!

I started my own coupon about a year ago and it was going really well! I had to stop for a little while because I moved and didn’t have the time to coupon. I moved again and about going to start back up.
It started locally… I just posted on my local Freecycle and Craigslist boards saying that I would love any coupons people couldn’t use. If you have coupons you can’t use, you would mail them to me… and I would organize and sort and send out lists to my “members” of everything I had. If someone could use some, I would mail them ALL the coupons I had for that product or genre, but only if they had submitted coupons before.
It sounds like a lot of work, but it was really fun for me to find tons of coupons that I could use, and help other people out as well. I would mail all the expired coupons to the military familes who could use them too.
If anyone wants to join, you don’t have to be local to join my group! Just email [email protected] and let me know where you’re located and typically what type of coupons you are looking for (i.e… baby, dog/cat, etc)
Take care!!! and Happy Couponing!
Leslie

I’ve traded on HCW before and had wonderful experiences. I’ve found that most traders are incredibly generous and include tons of extras!

I trade my coupons on MySavings.com. (here’s the link: http://www.mysavings.com/forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=43) It’s been a great experience! I have found coupons for things I use all the time that I didn’t even know existed! Totally worth checking into!! It’s a great way to turn coupons that you can’t use into ones you can!!
