I loved your post on how to get coupons for free. I know you said you haven’t paid for a newspaper subscription in ages, but I wanted to point out that a lot of newspapers in my area (and I’m sure other areas as well) are having problems keeping subscriptions, and they are offering delivered papers for much less than you would normally pay.
To save my own time running around getting free inserts, I have two different papers delivered to my home. One of them offered me a Wednesday/Sunday subscription for $26 per year, which I count as $0.50 per Sunday paper (the only one I care about). The other paper, which I prefer, gave me a subscription for $52 for a year.
I also get a lot of coupons for free from friends and my mother always gives me her inserts, but the convenience of having two newspapers delivered is a huge benefit to me and worth the $78 per year I spent on it! -Sarah
Do you pay for a newspaper subscription(s)? If so, how many newspaper subscriptions do you have and how much do you pay per subscription? Do you feel the cost/time-savings is worth it?

My local newspaper smells. They took out all the interesting things and don’t give ANY discount on subscriptions. In fact, if you only want the Sunday paper delivered, they don’t have that option. They force you to pay for Wednesday delivery along with Sunday. The final straw for me was when they removed the nightly TV grid because they wanted to use the space for a grain report. I cancelled my subscription happily. When they phoned to ask why, I told them my exact reasons. Boring paper costs too much and keeps removing sections I like. Good riddance!
I pay $8 every month for 1 issue per week of the Sunday paper. I have it delivered for the convenience and also because the delivered Sunday paper is the only way to get the weekly TV listings. If it’s a particularily great week for coupons I sometimes get additional papers at the dollar store for $1.
Yes! I have a daily subscription to The Dallas Morning News. I love it and seriously have morning withdrawal when we’re out of town. Thankfully, I can now access the full paper online through my subscription, so that should never be a problem again. 🙂 I pay $28/month for my subscription.
Personally, I don’t understand why frugality folks typically only see newspapers as valuable on Sundays because of the coupons. I find deals in the paper frequently throughout the week, whether it’s coupons or just finding out about interesting events around the Dallas area. I can often get discounts on events because of my subscription.
Besides, I love the daily comics, and I prefer the news in print form. Internet news sites are often rife with errors due to their rush in getting out the news. And I really dislike watching the news on television. Too sensationalistic.
I get my local paper delivered on Sundays only for a little over $15 and change per year. I have 4 subscriptions, so that is less than $64 annually for 4 papers delivered to my house every Sunday. That’s less than $1.25 per week for 4 papers.
As the wife of a man employed by a newspaper I have to remind you that although it is great to get things for cheap, when you don’t subscribe or buy the paper you are hurting the entire newspaper business. Why do companies pay to have coupons in a paper? Because they look at the number of papers purchased and know the coupons are being seen. When you just use coupons given to you by other people and don’t buy a paper the newspaper receives no money. In an industry that is already on the decline, if you continue to not buy the paper, soon there will be no paper around to cut coupons from.
ask for a subscription as a christmas gift!
I don’t support liberal media sources and most but not all newspapers are just too liberal for my taste. I have found purchasing my Q’s from a clipping service is much more cost effective. I get the Q’s I want in the quantity I want for much less than what it appears you’re paying for a subscription. You can even get a Q subscription at My Coupon Hunter making acquisition even cheaper.
Wow, jealous of all the deals everyone seems to be getting on papers! There aren’t any deals on our papers! I actually cancelled our delivery and just pick it up at a some store on Sunday. We were paying $1.00 per paper for delivery, that’s not the subscription price, just a delivery charge.
I don’t subscribe to the paper in Chattanooga. But my sister gets the 20 dollar deal where you get 5 Sunday papers and all the weekday papers.
I work on the weekends for a transportation company and one of the managers lives down near Atlanta so he picks up 2 copies of the Atlanta paper which is a great insert newspaper. I give one copy to my sister and
she gives me 2 of her Chattanooga Times Free Press. Plus all the extra inserts/coupons she doesn’t want from the other 3. My mother also gives me extra coupons. And I get the East Hamilton community delivered for free on Wed. It has another copy of the Red plum insert and the Bi-lo and Publix ads:) If I want the mystery item I get the paper from Walgreen s on Wed for 35 cents:)
The second thing is a bunch of us ladies at work coupon and the great thing is we need different stuff. I don’t have kids so I save all my baby coupons for a lady I work with that has a new grand baby. We have a couple tubs that we put all our extra in and when people have 15 minute breaks to spare they go downstairs with them and check them out. This keeps coupons from going to waste so its great:)
I get the Sunday paper delivered for 50 cents a week. I renew my subscription every six months at the same rate. Because I have two small children it is worth paying to have it delivered. I don’t have to get the kids ready to go out and get one. With the paper being that inexpensive I know I will save far more with the coupons than what I paid for the paper.
Sundays are such a busy day for us with church, family gatherings, then church again. I wouldn’t be able to drive around, and run in and out looking for papers with 4 kids in tow. So, purchasing our Sunday paper is worth my money for my time 🙂 Most of the time, I don’t even pull it out of the paper box until Monday morning!
would love for ideas in the southern maine area if anyone has them! 🙂
The Baltimore Sun had a deal last year for teachers for 1 penny for Wednesday, Saturday, and Sundau home delevery for the entire year. I did it, and they offered it to me again this year. It’s crazy! They also have contests, and we have won tickets to two different movies and the circus. We also one two DVDs. Great deal!
Sorry for the mistakes! I meant to type “won” and “Sunday”!
@Virginia, Never thought about a teacher discount! I wonder if other papers offer teacher/homeschooler discounts!!!! Gotta check in to that!
My Grandmother gives me the coupons from her paper and in exchange when I get free items I don’t need I give them to her so she can take them to a ministry she likes to support at her church. The elderly neighbor next door to me used to give me her coupons too. My mom gives me the ones she doesn’t use.
Does anyone live in MA? The only worthwhile paper here (coupon wise) is the Boston Globe which is TRASH to read and costs $4. for the sunday paper. No one around here is buying it anymore so the rates just keep going up. If I do break down and buy it, I pull the inserts and then the whole paper goes unread into the recycle bin! Has anyone in this area found an alternative?
Good night is it worth it!! I buy the Tacoma, WA News Tribune – they actually offered me & my readers a great deal – just $1 per Sunday copy delivered when you buy 3-6 copies (you can find more info on my site if you live in Tacoma and are interested in this deal).
I bought 4 Sunday papers, which works out to $4 total. What would I spend in gas and/or time collecting coupons from others? I find it’s a HUGE time/stress reliever to have my papers delivered to my door Sunday morning.
As for if it’s worth it? In order to just break even, all I’d need to do is clip and use ONE coupon per insert. The math is simple: I come out ahead by a long shot!
I usually buy my papers at the dollar store for $1. I like to get multiple inserts, so I will get anywhere from 2-10 papers usually depending on what coupons are going to be in the paper. I am near Chicago, so I always get the Tribune, which has the absolute best coupons for our area generally.
I get two newspapers delivered, one is the local paper, which I paid about $25 for a year of every day delivery, and just received my renewal notice at $50 a year for every day which is still cheaper than the regular Sunday paper rate. I also get the Saturday and Sunday paper of the next closest city because it usually has better coupons, and for that I pay about 75 cents a week which is half the cost of just the Sunday delivery. I definitely think its worth it, because I only have to run out to the store now if I want extras. Plus I’m usually guaranteed to get all the inserts, which I’ve heard from friends in the newspaper industry that if there aren’t enough inserts to fill all the papers the store stacks and newspaper boxes are the ones that will get shorted.
Last year I signed up for a special yearly subscription of our Wed/Sun only newspapers for $9.99, which comes out to about 20 cents per Sunday paper. The Wednesday paper has the local grocery store ads and the Sunday paper has the coupons and other store ads. It was such a good deal that I signed both me and my husband up so we’d get 2 papers. This year when it came renewal time, the deal went up to $15 per year. But that’s still pretty good, when it costs $2 per Sunday paper at the store!
I live in Rio Rancho/Albuquerque New Mexico and got a deal on the paper for $10 a month delivered everyday. It was such a good deal I couldn’t pass it up. The sunday paper is $1.50 and there isn’t a store real close so it works out for us. Also my teen has been needing the paper for school so it has been a win win situation for all of us!
Me too! I got the LA times for $9.88 a yr. Awesome!
@Sara,
Mind me asking how your able to get such a great rate? I live in Santa Barbara & would love to stop paying $1.50 & have it right outside my front door every Sunday :o)
Brandy,
There was a flyer in a NY Times I picked up at the gas station (in Temecula) advertising 9.88 for a year…I lost the flyer, but called and they gave me the deal anyway. You could give them a call..it’s worth a try!
@Sara, Thanks Sara!
@Brandy (The Moody Fashionista),
Hey! I’m in Goleta! I’m not 100% sure if this is still valid. But I just started my subscription 3 weeks ago. Btw, not sure where in SB you are, but my delivery service for LA times kind of… SUCKS. Make sure you call/file redelivery if it doesn’t come…
Anyways, call 1.800.326.5500. They will ask you if you have a code, tell them 900825! Good luck!
@Emily,
Thanks Emily! Nice to see someone else from our area on here :o)
I have 2 subscriptions for Sunday LA Times for 9.88/year each 🙂 19c per issue, 38c for 2 per week 🙂
I live in Cypress, TX and I get my Houston Chronicle for $20 for 20 weeks. This includes the Sunday paper and the E edition daily newspapers. When I want extra Sunday papers I buy them at CVS so I can pay with extra bucks.
WOW, I live in Tomball and was quoted $10.00 per week(ie, $520.00 per year) and you’re getting yours for a Dollar a week??????
Check out this post on my blog for the newspaper, it did not have an expiration as far as i know.
http://thetexasdealdiva.blogspot.com/search/label/Entertainment
I get as many SS’s as I want. Usually about 50 a week. I just pick up the town paper that no one wants and is delivered free. I just don’t get them for a week or so after everyone else.
I signed up last September for Thu-Sun paper for .99 a week. Well that ended this September and the price went up so I called to downgrade my subscription to Sun only. They offered me another year of Thu-Sun for .99 if I paid for 26 weeks up front! Which was cheaper than the Sun only price. So it doesn’t hurt to call and ask.
Also I have family members save their inserts each Sunday and I collect them when I see them.
I paid $12.50 for six months of Sunday edition of The Washington Post.
@Missy Whitfield, t
just wondering where did you order your post from? i pay $2 a week for it. i would really love to save some extra $$.
Thanks
@tiffany,
I got a subscription from The Washington Post. I received a home mailer advertisement from them, and when I saw the price I decided to go for it. I’m not sure if it’s valid all the time or just occasionally, but maybe you could call and ask?
i used to get the san jose mercury news. about a month ago i called to cancel my subscription (after having it about a year and a half) and they asked me if i wanted to continue to receive the advertising section (including coupon inserts) because they told me those are complimentary. so i get my inserts delivered to my door at 0 cost now.
Detroit stopped offering Sunday only subscription last year and now only offers Thursday Friday Sunday for the price of a regular Sunday paper. So I go to Dollar Tree.
I used to subscribe to the paper, but I had a bad experience with customer service so I’m not subscribing again. We have the option to buy 2 Sunday papers for $2 (on Sunday only) and that is what I do sometimes.
I attempted to subscribe to the Atlanta Journal Constitution (the nearest big town paper), but they don’t deliver more than 30 minutes south of town (and it’s not available in grocery stores more than 30 min from Atlanta). So as your post said, local papers are having a hard time keeping subscribers and are tightening their sales areas.
I enjoy reading the paper, but was spoiled by good editors and publishers when I was young. Not all newspapers are created equal!
We subscribe to the Fri-Sun paper delivery for only $6.50 a month. Newstand price for the Sunday paper is $1.75.
However, I just discovered to my delight that our local Dollar Tree sells the Sunday paper for $1!! I get all my extra coupons there, but I’m keeping the monthly delivery because of the convience factor.
We came across a deal where if you prepaid, you could get Sunday/Wednesday in my area for $0.75/week so we paid for a year…only $39. Our Wednesday paper occassionally has a pack of papers in it! They also deliver the paper on holidays for free with any subscription. Hubby likes that!
We do only one copy as we’re only two people…once we have kids, that may change. We are also fortunate enough to have two weekly papers for our city and they usually have a RP insert in one of them and occassionally a SS in the other so we usually get two copies of coupons!
I live in Louisville, KY and every Sunday our local newspaper The Courier-Journal delivers for FREE to my home their edition called “YES” with all coupons and sale ads. So, I don’t pay anything for my subscription :)))
Here is a link, but it’s only for Louisville, KY https://ssl1.gmti.com/louisvil/subscribe/promotions/2009/w46_form.html
@Victoria, Can you please tell me a little more about this? I live in Louisville as well and have never heard of it. I clicked on the link and signed up, but just wondering, you don’t have to purchase a subscription to get this free? This would be wonderful. I could get some of my non-couponing friends and family to sign up for me too! This would be great!!!!
@Jennifer, It’s absolutely free and you don’t need to buy anything. I’ve just noticed that now it is limited to certain zip codes. You need to check first if you live within their delivery area. I signed a long time ago. They put their papers in a pink plastic bag with the name “YES” on it and every Sunday I see these pink bags everywhere in the city.
@Victoria, This sounds too good to be true!
I will have to sign up and give it a try.
@Rachel, I signed a long time ago. But you need to check first if you live within their delivery area. Every Sunday I get all coupon inserts, sale ads, and two newspapers: “USA weekend” and “YES”.
@Victoria, Thanks Victoria. It says my zip code is in the area, so this might be a great way for me to increase our coupons without increasing our budget.
My newspaper subscription is worthwhile not just for the coupons, but for the information and insight about what’s going on in our community and the nation/world. Yes, there are free ways to keep up with the news but most of them are inferior to the depth of reporting you get from the paper. (I listen to NPR too and while I wouldn’t call it inferior, they simply can’t read out a 1,500 word story on the air.) You can read a lot of the same articles online, but unless you’re paying $30 a month for a data plan on a phone, you can’t take the Internet to the playground with you and improve your citizenship while the kids play.
I get the Sunday paper and it costs me just under $26 per 13 weeks. How do you get it for only $1/week?? I would love to do that!
@Amy, Probably has a lot to do with where you live. If you saw the dinky little thing I get for $1, you wouldn’t be envious. 🙂
I live in a city with a worthless set of Sunday coupons, but I do get a subscription of it for my local news. However, if I did live in a bigger area, I would get 5 subscriptions probably. I currently get a set of 5 inserts for about 85 each from PA, from Capri services. I find the savings worth it and the coupons are from a larger market. I also like the fact I can preview the coupons a couple of days before in an email she sends and decide if I want to order or not.
DFW papers do not have good deals on subscriptions so I don’t have one. When I lived in CA, I was able to get the the Sunday only addition regular price for $5.25/month but atleast 1-2 times per year, they would call me saying that they had changed something about the paper and would I be willing to try the everyday paper for $5/month for 3 (or sometimes 6!) months… uh sure it was more for less! And occasionally the weekday papers would have some cool articles, coupons, or flyers. I would just switch back to Sundays only before the trial was up.
@Rae, I’m in the Dallas area too. I think my rate for the Dallas Morning News is $10.50 a week.
@maggie, wow that is crazy 😮
@Rae, sorry, i meant to say $10.50 a month. still a lot more than what these deals are.
@Rae, you were right for a week. I pay $12.50 a month for the sunday only paper.
We have a 7 day subscription and get an extra on Sunday for about $10/month. It used to be cheaper to get the Sunday paper at the dollar store, but they no longer sell them. We don’t have cable TV so we read the paper daily to get our news. I also often get $10/$20 Kohls coupons on the front page of the daily paper (not on Sunday) as well as great coupons for car washes. We’ve found coupons for restaurants and other local businesses as well. We definitely pay for the $10 in savings plus some and we stay in touch with our local community. In an age when published newspapers are struggling, I think this is a small price to pay to support them!
I used to think it was more “economical” to just go out and buy a newspaper every Sunday…but after having kids and every minute seems to be scheduled, it is a huge relief to me to see the paper in my driveway when I get up – rain or shine! But I also enjoy reading the newspaper every day for another perspective on my news, etc. SO we subscribe for a year at a time (best deal) and get the paper for 7 days which is pretty much the same price as just weekends. So instead of paying $2 every Sunday (Atlanta), we pay $115 or so once a year, but I gladly pay the extra for convenience (and I budget for it).
Wow…..some of you seem to get great deals on yearly subscriptions to your Sunday papers. The cheapest I can find for my paper (The Columbus Dispatch) is around $9 per MONTH delivered, just about the same price per paper as getting it at the grocery store. I have, however, been contemplating getting the delivered one because I have been finding lately that the store I go to to get my Sunday paper for only $1 always has missing inserts. Also, it is becoming a pain to have to remember to go out and get one before they sell out Sunday morning. Since going back to work almost a year ago, I’m finding that I’d rather not have that one extra stop, since it is not a store I already go to for anything else, when my free time is so limited now.
@Emily, Don’t feel bad, we pay $13.50 a month for delivery here – which is actually still 50 cents cheaper than buying it at the store every Sunday!
I am blessed to also live in the Utah area where I can get 5 copies of the Sunday paper delivered to my house for about $20 a month. The “other” local paper heard about this and decided to offer a limited time $20 a year Sunday only subscription. Love it when places compete for my business, I always win! I say check all the offers in your area for the best deals and see if they’re willing to compete for your business.
I have worked 3rd shift at a hotel for the past 6 months so I get my inserts free (they aren’t SUPPOSED to have coupons, but they still do!) Also, at about 8pm Sunday night, some of my friends come by to see what papers are left and I get to share the wealth 😀 I am blessed enough to be able to be a stay at home mom at the end of the month, so I will need to figure something else out! So go check your local hotels!
I usually go to my local library where they have a few different local papers. I sift through the coupons I want and leave the rest. If for some reason they didn’t get their Sunday paper or it got wet, I go to the Dollar tree and buy them for $1 each.
We have a Sunday-only subscription for $0.50 per week. The paper is normally $1.25. I received the offer in my mailbox, along with all the other “junk” mail.
Just the question I’ve been wondering since moving to southern Maine…I’ve been researching and not coming up with too many ideas besides paying for the paper…how that goes against my frugal brain! 🙂 Keep the ideas coming!
I just read/want the Sunday paper too but it is way cheaper to take it everyday for some reason. I get ours for $30/year/7 days a week. When it expires I just call and ask for the same or better deal and they always oblige.
Another way to get a free newspaper is to ask for a subscription as a Christmas gift. I mentioned to my mother-in-law one year that my husband really enjoyed reading the Sunday paper {and I enjoyed the coupons} and we have been getting a 6-month subscription for Christmas ever since!
Thanks Trinh for sharing that you get your paper at the Dollar Tree! I will have to check to see if ours carries the paper. I still need to buy papers for the other six months. 🙂
I like to buy multiple papers for the multiple coupons. So I buy 6 papers on Sunday from my Dollar Tree at $1 a piece. The Sunday paper is normally $1.50 so I figure I’m getting 2 papers for free by buying them at Dollar Tree. Our “sale” price on a subscription for Sunday only is about $1 a piece but that’s just for one copy, other copies would be full price, so it’s worth it to me to drive to Dollar Tree and get my papers there.
@Trinh, I saw the Sunday paper at Dollar Tree once when I was in there, so I bought it. When I got it home there were no coupons in it! I thought maybe it was just a week that there weren’t any coupons, but when I bought one somewhere else later that day, there were coupons. So I haven’t bought from Dollar Tree since. Next time I’ll know to look and see if there are actually coupons in the Dollar Tree paper!
@jen, Anytime I buy a newspaper at the store, I always check for the coupon inserts first. That way I don’t pay for a paper with no coupons. There have been plenty of times I’ve gone through the first 2 or 3 papers on the stack and not find any coupons, but then the pull one from the bottom of the stack and lo-and-behold the coupons are there. So now I always pull out a paper from the bottom of the stack in case someone has taken the inserts from the ones on top!
We get weekend delivery. I sometimes read them, my hubby always does. I love getting the paper early Sunday morning so I can tell my husband if we need to make a quick stop at Walgreens on the way to church so that I can buy another copy or two if the inserts are really good.
We have a yearly Sunday subscription as well. For less than a $1 a paper, it’s much worth it, plus my hubby likes to read the paper. On my first shopping trip alone, it paid for the subscription. And, now, as a bonus, I don’t have to buy wrapping paper! 🙂
that is an amazing deal! How did you get it? Did someone come to my door? I would for sure subscribe if the deal was that great.
We get a 7 day subscription to our local paper, which has the coupons on Sunday. I think it is worth it, not just for the coupons, but because it is the best way to stay on top of LOCAL current events and politics. I think it is very important to vote in city/county elections. Before we got the paper, when we had recently moved in, I felt terrible when I realized that I did not know who to vote for for our city council. I was just not informed enough. Talking to others does not count! I like to read the candidates platforms that are published in the paper. Probably could get it online for free, but I find that I just don’t do that. For me, it is quicker and easier to grab the paper and read just which articles I find important. At a glance I can see if I’m not interested in a particular article, without having to click and wait for a webpage to load. Sets a good example for the kids to see us reading.
So please, consider getting a paper! We can’t improve the world if we don’t know what’s going on – and the best place to start improving things is in our own neighborhoods.
@Heather, Hear! Hear! I agree. I think sometimes us “frugal” types let our bottom line cheat us out of a valuable resource. Subscribing to our local papers supports our communities and our local economies. I would have missed many fun family events if I didn’t have a subscription to our paper!
@Heather, I agree too!
My husband is actually a reporter with many years in the newspaper business (though he’s now with a magazine), so I have a first hand sense of the work and effort that go into producing a paper.
We have a 7 days a week subscription, and generally read through it all. It keeps us up to date and involved, lets us know about great local opportunities, supports a local institution, and sets a great example to our kids on the importance of reading. Our first grader has already begun to read parts of it himself (yes, we screen the stories!)
And remember: if people don’t keep buying the papers (and the subscription numbers are declining all the time), there won’t be any newspaper inserts!
@Heather, I grew up in a family that subscribed to three different daily papers. I can’t imagine not having a newspaper delivered to my home daily. It’s worth so much more than just the coupons.
Our Sunday paper arrives very early in the morning. I usually have a chance to peruse the coupons or check online which coupons are scheduled for that weekend. If it’s a “good” coupon week, I pick up another paper or two or three on the way home from church.
@Heather, I agree too!
We have a M-F plus Sunday subscription. Used to be 7 days, but Saturday was dropped in a cost cutting effort by the paper. In addition to all the points already mentioned, the reason i have it delivered as opposed to picking it up and saving a little is that a single mom with 2 kids delivers our paper and I view it as part of helping my community.
I had a paper salesman come to my door wanting me to buy a subscription to the paper, I declined. So he offered me a subscription to the Sunday paper, for a year, for only 25 cents plus tax. So for roughly $15, I have the inserts and ads every Sunday for a year. 🙂
I get 5 papers each weekend! We just had a great deal 19.95 a year for each paper so for just under $100 I get 5 papers delivered right to my door for the next year! newspaper deals like this are popping up all over the place. If I didn’t have such a great deal like this I would be looking for a nursing home or somewhere else that gets lots of papers and ask if you could have the coupon inserts from those who would not be using them.
I have a daily subscription. The paper isn’t the greatest, but I believe it is important to support local newspapers and to stay informed beyond what you see on TV and the Internet. For that reason, it is worth it. The coupons are a bonus.
I buy a seven day, year long subscription. My Hubby insists on reading the paper everyday, no talking him out of it. The coupons help offset my cost and I get two free sets of inserts from a family member and a friend who don’t coupon. I would definitely purchase a Sunday paper for the inserts if I didn’t have to buy the yearly subscription. The return on investment would always be worth it.
I get three Sunday papers delivered from the S.F. Chronicle for $0.34 per paper! The paper is normally $3 ea!
@Carissa G,
I think I pay $0.36 per Sunday SF Chronicle paper, and I only get one, but I counted that as a good enough deal to pay for a subscription. I just started doing it a couple months ago, and it seems to be worth it.
@Kelly, Totally worth it, so much so I think I may order a couple more so I don’t have go looking for more inserts when I want a really good coupon.
@Carissa G,
Did you call to get that rate? I would love to get the SF Chronicle for that rate, but online it doesn’t show those prices.
@Michelle, I got an offer in the mail for $18 or $19 for a year-long subscription to the Sunday paper. If I knew how I got that sent to me, I’d definitely tell you!
I do not have a subscription. I buy 3 papers for $2 each every Sunday. I find the $6 I spend is nothing compared to what I save.
I get a Sunday-only subscription that is almost exactly the same cost as getting the paper from a gas station or newspaper box. But since it is delivered for free and I don’t have to find quarters, I enjoy having a subscription.
I subscibe to a major Sunday paper for the sales and coupon inserts and TV guide, but we also get two FREE local papers during the week which also contain the local grocery flyers and more coupon inserts.
If anyone lives in the Indianapolis area, there is a deal going til Wednesday evening, the 29th for the Thursday & Sunday paper at 99 cents a week. I only care about the Sunday paper too, but I know that it will pay for itself every week and then some!
https://secure.indystar.com/circulation/promos/72hour/index.html
@Christine, Thanks for this info! I already subscribe & it says it’s only for people that haven’t subscribed in the last 30 days. But I’m going to call & see if I can get it anyway.
I get only the Sunday delivery for our local paper. I enjoy reading the Sunday paper and the coupons are an added bonus. Plus – I look through all the flyers to make to what else I need for the household that is on sale (non grocery items). I pay for my subscription annually so I get the greatest discount that the paper offers. To me, it is worth it (and it is also in the budget!)
