I haven’t read the article but I’m guessing the key is to break the goal down into very bite size pieces. I’ve been doing this along with only focusing on 1 thing at a time, as you say. Already I’m reaping the benefits. Specifically, I have made it my goal to read to our children over breakfast 5 days a week. Sure, I’d like to read with them over every meal but committing to too much will cause me to fizzle out quickly. Ask me how I know! I’m reading 21 days to a more disciplined life and I’m so encouraged by it and your blog. Thanks so much, Crystal. Your insights have made me a better wife and mom.

It’s actually not that. 🙂 But that’s another good one!

I did it!!! I wrote goals for marriage, family, health, spiritual and personal!!!! I can’t believe i did it! They’ve been in my head swirling around and it just seemed impossible to get them out of my head but FINIALLY I did and I’m so excited to see what this year brings!
As I mentioned on another post I couldn’t believe I went from no books in over 10 years to 12 books this past year read! I’m aiming for 24 books this coming year. Right now it seems impossible but that’s my aim! I’m also hoping to start writing some articles.

Crystal, I just wanted to say that that I have been following your blog for years…almost from the beginning of MSM. You have so much to offer, but I find your articles on goals to be so inspiring. I really value how you work so hard to “keep it real” and I am always encouraged by stopping by here. Thanks for all you do.
