Do you ever show up to ALDI and then realize you don’t have a quarter for the cart? Or you have to spend five minutes digging through your purse and car to try to find one?
Well, Christen sent me the above picture and I thought it was the best idea ever! You can just keep an ALDI quarter on your key chain and you never have to look for a quarter again!
The ALDI Quarter Key Chain is available from this Etsy seller here.
There are some other similar ALDI Quarter Key Chain options here and here.
Do you have any creative ways that you always make sure you have a quarter on hand to use for a cart at ALDI?

I can’t love this enough – I needed this so may times! I’m so sad that I’m no longer near an aldi!
I keep at least one quarter in my coin purse.
I just ordered a bunch from our senior pastor’s wife. She started an embroidery business…Embroideray. So many people shared posts of these with her she came up with several styles:)
So cute! What a creative idea! I wish we had Aldi in Louisiana!
Those are so cute! I wish we had Aldi in Canada. I went to every Aldi I saw when we were in Europe last year. I really enjoy them.
Ha! That’s a great idea. 🙂
These are SO cute!! I use something similar that I found on Amazon. It’s a quarter keychain that says I love Aldi on the actual quarter. I love everything about Aldi. They have definitely saved our family a lot of money!
I WISH Utah had Aldi!
A quarter for a cart? You have to rent a cart??? (We don’t have Aldi’s here in WA)
Julie, it is not really “rent” because the customer gets their quarter back when the cart is returned. I think it is a great incentive to eliminate the scattered carts in the parking lots.
It’s a way to get people to put their cart back after shopping-you get your quarter back when you put your cart back 🙂
At my store, the cashier will give you a quarter if you forget to bring yours. And I’ve seen people give their cart (and quarter in it) as they’re leaving to those newbies who did not realize you had to bring a quarter.
It’s very smart really since it reduces loose carts bumping/ damaging cars. I love being able to bless someone with my “free” to them cart after I use it.
I have never heard of a grocery store charging for using a shopping cart!
Of course, our city banned grocery bags, so they charge for bags. Bring your own-problem solved. : )
lyss, it does sound confusing…you actually get your quarter back when you leave. They are just eliminating the need for a worker to go and retrieve all the carts. So, you’re kind of “renting” your cart. 🙂
We keep a snack size zip lock bag in the left from corner of the glove box for Aldi’s quarters.
I have a small “drawer” in my minivan dash console (might have been an ash tray), I put quarters in it and grab one before going in.
But these are really cute!
We sticks ours in the center console. Always have 2 handy since we get 2 carts! (We have 2 small kids and we only go shopping once every 3 weeks.)
