My Monday Morning Plan + Today’s Cleaning Project

My Monday Morning Project

Good morning! I hope your day is off to a great start!

It was a very full but good weekend. I slept in this morning and we had a slow start to our day, but after some quiet, Bible, and blogging, I’m ready to hit the ground running!

My cleaning project for today is not only to get the house back in order after hosting multiple gatherings/guests at our home this weekend, but also to go through the kids’ clothes and change out their wardrobes for the warmer weather.

Here’s my plan for this morning:

  • Bible reading/journaling
  • Blogging/Business work
  • Breakfast
  • Get kids started on chores/independent work/Daily Lists
  • Clean up the house — start a load of laundry
  • Clean up my room/make bed
  • Go through the kid’s clothes
  • Fold & put away laundry
  • Morning Time
  • School with Silas
  • Run/shower
  • Ready to go — lunch made — head to work at our office space

This evening (hopefully!), I’ll share a post about how our day went and give you an update (with pictures) on my progress on our house and the kid’s clothes.

My husband and I had spring cleaning plans this past weekend. That totally went out of the window when we had the first truly warm day. We spent the day outside playing like kids. It was totally fun and totally worth it – even as I look at our filthy windows. 🙂

Although this room is embarrassing, this is my spring cleaning project for the week. Since I can’t find my desk underneath this mess, this room has to take priority! http://www.theintentionalmom.com/weekly-spring-cleaning-project-2/

I just started switching my clothes over to my spring/summer clothes. So overwhelming. Today was gorgeous here, so I decided to revamp my to-do list and take a 3 mile walk with my hubby. It was really peaceful and relaxing. Tomorrow I’ll get back to work on the closets and clothes organizing! ha!

I need to be more specific on writing down my cleaning goals. I love to check off a list so that would probably suit me well. I am always looking for ways to be more strategic with time and perhaps a “cleaning list” would keep me on track and derailed as I walk through our home. I get sidetracked on other little productive projects. I’m going to try the LIST!
