It was so fun to have the chance to be on the The 700 Club on Friday morning talking about my new book, financial lessons my parents taught me, our early beans-and-rice-budget years, advice for moms who want to start a business… and more!
It was the first time I’ve done a TV interview where I’ve actually felt fairly relaxed before and during the whole thing — which is HUGE for this once shy, introverted girl who thought I’d rather poke my eyeballs out with hot steel rods than go on live TV!
It’s exciting to remember my first interview with the 700 Club from 2012 compared to this interview and to realize how much all this punching-fear-in-the-face stuff is growing me as a person!
I really want to inspire moms to step outside their comfort zone and to not live life held back by fear… and that means that I have to practice what I preach and keep putting myself out there, keep stepping outside my comfort zone, and keep doing things that scare me!
If you missed it, you can go here to watch my interview on The 700 Club.
And be sure to go here to download chapter one of my book, Money-Making Mom, if you haven’t done so already!

You did a wonderful job. Would you ever write a post on ways to overcome a fear of speaking in public? Thank you!

This was such an encouraging interview to watch. I especially liked the part you shared about the loaves and fishes. I have wanted to start some sort of side business this year and am thinking much more about it/setting time aside, but I often feel like I don’t have that much time to work on it. That thought of loaves and fishes, taking what little time I had and letting God do what He wanted with it, was what I felt like God encouraged me with in the past, so to see you talk about it too really meant a lot.

I’ve followed your blog for many years….since my almost 8 year-old was an infant, and I think this is the first time to comment. 🙂 Just by reading your blog, I’ve loved watching God work in and through you over the years . You’ve handled yourself with such grace and dignity and remained so humble in the process. I was celebrating and thanking the Lord for you as I watched this! What a difference you are making in the world for Jesus!! You and your family are such a light to so many!

When I was looking for the recent interview, I saw your old interview. I noticed on your first interview that you were really rushing through your answers. I know you were nervous. Seriously though, I think Periscope has probably helped you go a long way in be comfortable in front of a camera.
Great job! I thought you had a great interview on the show both times. 🙂 They did a really awesome segment on you and your book.

I watched it via the link and thought it was a great interview. One thing that I really enjoy about your “story” is how you bring i it back around to being able to give to others. Blessings to you! I like following along. 🙂

I am so excited for you Crystal! Almost as excited as if I wrote it myself! Also, the top picture is mine. I was watching a documentary and when I got the periscope update of you on the 700 club I had to stop to watch you!! You looked amazing by the way!

I love the 700 Club and thought your interview was fantastic! It was very inspiring. I hope others who follow you are able to channel their inner talents and find their own way to success. I am nearing retirement so I am not in that situation but I enjoy reading your story.
