{Read the story behind this crazy photo here. And yes, it was staged, but it was pretty accurate to how we were feeling at the time!}
June was an especially full month. It was full of good things, adventures, outings with friends, time with people we love, many projects completed, and five different trips.
Whew! I don’t regret the “yeses” we said, but the truth is: I am tired and ready to take some time to slow down and catch my breath. So that’s exactly what the next few weeks are for our family.
Other than a few commitments, we’re taking the next few weeks to really slow down, unplug, hang out together as a family, catch up on sleep, and be intentional about resting and recharging.

June is incredibly busy for my family, but July is, too, so it will be August for us before we can slow down. I cannot wait…so need it! Enjoy your family time, you have earned it!

I am hoping to get a few things knocked off our summer bucket list this week. I also need to get back in to blogging, we were gone on vacation last week. It sometimes takes me a couple of days to get back into the routine. Love your new shirts, they look awesome!
Diana Kerr says
I love how much time you make for reading! Definitely an inspiration!
Sharon @ Virtuous Mother says
Totally failed on goals last week! 🙁 I’m hoping to do better this week!
Crystal Paine says
Here’s to a better week for you this week!
Sarah@TheOrthodoxMama says
I had to laugh when I saw your picture–it looked just like our family last night. After three nights of 4th of July activities, we are ready for a normal week!
Lana says
I love the picture! Our summer is full of travel to see family, two boys down and one to go plus my elderly parents and then we get a week at the lake house we own in partnership to catch up with ourselves. The trip to see my parents is not really a hardship since we will meet them at their timeshare at Daytona Beach.

Awesome, goals are so important and it is even more important to write them down. I accomplished a huge goal of mine – driving through the three States and working in a car. It has been a dream of mine to travel with my family to new places and it is awesome to have a business that allows you to do it. My next big goal is to visit some other States as well and of course, to keep reading books!
Molly says
I love the idea of breaking weekly goals into categories. Do you always do the same amount for each or switch it up depending on what area needs some extra attention?
Crystal Paine says
I usually set somewhere between 1-4 goals per category and change it up a little each week.
Vickie @Vickie's Kitchen and Garden says
Hope to get some R&R soon but in the meantime I will try to get as much done as possible! One thing a day to recharge yourself just sounds wonderful!
Have a great night
Vickie

I read about your full June in your newsletter! I was exhausted just reading it, lol. I hope you find some of that R&R that you need.
You know, I’ve never thought about setting goals for things like Family and Ministry. I think I need to add that to my goal setting because I know that ministry is and connecting with others {even my husband sometimes!} ends up put on the back burner. Not good at all!
Thanks for the downloadable goal sheet, I’m definitely going to be using that!
Crystal Paine says
Yes! Putting these things on my goals list really helps me be intentional about making them a priority!
Emily says
I am also striving to find more rest time right now. I am hoping to get caught up on sleep after a few quick trips. The book you recommended in your Make Over Your Morning course (Sleep: It Does a Family Good) is helping me to finally make sleep more of a priority.
I hope you enjoy your time of rest and refreshment!
And macros on the fitness app?? I have no idea what that means. 🙂
Crystal Paine says
I LOVED that book! And so much of it stuck with me — even a few years after reading it!
Jesse is the Fitness Guru at our house and he set the app up for me and is helping me track things because in the busyness of life, I haven’t been doing a great job of eating enough protein and good carbs. So I’m working on that!
Jenny @ Women With Intention says
We are ready for some R & R at my house as well! June’s always crazy. Enjoy some self-care time, it’s so important! 🙂
Jennifer says
Please tell me your shirts will come in plus size!!!!
Crystal Paine says
They come in sizes small to XX-large. You can see a sneak peek here (special launch price coming tomorrow!): http://www.mycentsofstyle.com/collections/promos
