We love this stuff so much! If you struggle to fall asleep or stay asleep, I highly recommend it! We use a little bit on Kierstyn before bed every night (we put it on the bottoms of her feet and the backs of her legs) and she sleeps so much better — and we always regret it when we forget to put it on her because she never sleeps as well!

What is the difference between the green and purple tubes?

I have noticed the sleep version has melatonin and lavender. Have you tried the plain for sleep? Not sure my husband would want to smell like lavender 🙂 thank you
It is not strong enough to worry about. And he would put it on at bedtime anyway, not when he is going out to dinner. On his feet and legs, he won’t notice.

If you are already taking a Magnesium Supplement, can you still use the lotion? Would it cause an “overdose” of magnesium to use both?
I wouldn’t think so as your body doesn’t absorb the full topical dose. However I would check with a licensed medical practitioner to be sure if you are concerned. Magnesium is one of the nutrients our body needs more than anything and is in short supply. You could not OD on magnesium simply by a supplement and a lotion.

I’ve used Valerian tincture for sleep and it’s been effective. Even better when using magnesium lotion! Never had much success with melatonin supplements.

The magnesium gel we normally use has a tingling sensation my kids can’t stand if i put it anywhere other than their feet. Does this have the same sensation?
I haven’t noticed that myself when I’ve used it and my kids haven’t said anything either. I will say that if you have a crack or sore on your hand or something, it will sting if you get it on that, though.

Does anyone have an opinion about using a magnesium lotion vs. a supplement (like natural calm)? Obviously you have to be careful with the supplement or you might end up with diarrhea but as far as how well they work: any thoughts?
Certain people absorb magnesium better via supplement and some via topical. My sister doesn’t absorb it at all through a supplement but it works really well through topical. Kierstyn seems to be the same way. I think the best way is to experiment and figure out what works best for you.

I bought this lotion atter your last recommendation on Istagram stories. It is amazing! I sleep deeply every night and add it to my lavender night time oil and I am out!!
