Have you tried out Listia before? It’s a site where you can list items you have that you no longer need or use and then you can earn free credit that you can cash in for gift cards — including Amazon gift cards!

Have you tried Listia before? If so, I’d love to hear about your experiences!
Okay, so I tried Listia because of this post. For some reason I was given lots of bonus points for going on to the site, and so I had enough to bid on two American Girl books my daughter wanted. We were winning the auction for a day or two until the last 5 seconds… Someone literally swooped in and outbid us right at the very last second! I guess this is just how these online bidding sites work (I haven’t really used them much), but I have to say my daughter was heartbroken! She was just excited about the books, and I had no idea we would lose them at the very end. That being said, I am wary of using this site again. :/
There are advertisements for “Nicole Lapin Rich *itch” all over your site. Thought you’d like to know.
I’m not seeing them anywhere on my end. Can you let me know the URL that they are pointing to? I can them block and ban them. Thanks so much!
On my computer there is one right under Natural & Organic Coupons & Deals Round Up
When you click on ‘learn more’ it takes you to amazon’s site. It’s aparently an advertisement for her book. The language used just didn’t seem to be the norm I see on your site.
Hmm, I can’t get it to show up for me anywhere. Can you click through and copy and paste the exact URL in the comments here? Thank you so much!
Here you go

We’ve blocked it now. Hopefully it will be gone quickly. Thanks so much — and I’m so sorry!
Sorry dear, I didn’t see that reply until now. Glad you were able to fix it. Hope you have a great day!
Never used it and am curious. I don’t care to go to the post office with my high-energy toddler and preschooler! I quit the local Freecycle group a few years back because a member stalked my house and stole from me while I was out running errands. When I reported it, the moderator told me to “be nice.” The theft wasn’t an item worth more than $25 so the police weren’t interested. On principle, I didn’t want to be part of a group condoning theft 🙁
I have met people from Freecycle or Craigslist at a location away from my home—such as outside a store that I need to visit anyway or the library. That might be safer and more comfortable for you.
I’ve used Listia before. It is kind of a pain in the behind. People bid on your stuff with points and then you have to ship it to them. People would rather bid on stuff with free shipping but then you are giving stuff away and paying to ship it. I listed things and charged shipping but then still had to pack up the item (and make sure it didn’t break) and take it to the post office. Part of the thing I like about giving stuff away is that it disappears almost immediately when I donate a box at a time or give stuff via Freecycle and someone picks it up. Having it on Listia means you have to store the item until someone “wins” it. It just wasn’t very satisfying or worth it for me.
