Want to see what we bought for this week’s $70 grocery budget? I’m currently challenging myself to stick with a $70 budget for our family of five. This includes almost all of our breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and dinners + most household products (toiletries, laundry soap, etc.).

I felt like this was a really meh week when it came to grocery deals. I went to Kroger twice, and both times didn’t find that many good deals.
Because the deals weren’t that great and I still had money left in the budget, I decided to run by ALDI to see what deals I could find. Well, I felt like the deals were pretty non-existent at ALDI, too.
Oh well, not every week is a great deal week, right? And it makes me grateful for all the many deals that usually find!

I realy have sunk myself into the coupon world. Yes i have signed up for almost everything..too much. I want to be able to save 50 to 70 % off every week. I have eliminated so many things That I used to buy to try to reach my goal. I cant go to 3 or 4 stores a week. It takes awhile to get the rebates to add up. So I want to know what else to do. Oh We eat meat seafood and healthy. No processed. Rare to find coups for vegs and proteins other than beans. Input please.
My advice: Focus on lowering your grocery bill by 1-3% every month. Just pick one area/new habit to develop each month… one new thing to try, one thing to eliminate, a new way to shop, etc. There are TONS of tips and ideas in the archives here if you just search for “grocery budget”.
You’re doing a great job!
