I ran into Dillon’s last night and picked up the following:
1 loaf Iron Kids Bread — used a free coupon that Jessica gave me when I saw her two weeks ago. (I’ll use this to make homemade croutons.)
1 single-serve Silk PureAlmond drink — $1, used $0.55/1 coupon (doubled) that my friend Stacie emailed me about making this free after the coupon doubled. I just checked and it looks like it’s no longer available. Bummer. 🙁
5 packages of bone-in chicken breasts priced at $0.99 per lb.
Total with tax: $22.53

Regarding the croutons, i have been saving our bread heels to make them. Nobody at my house cares for the heels, so I toss them into a ziplock bag and put them in the freezer. When the bag is full I wait until I am cooking something else in the oven and whip up a batch of croutons. My family loves them … sometimes I catch them sneaking them as a snack!

I just have to say i havent seen chicken that cheap in YEARS! And i work at a grocery store. Sheesh! The least you can get at S&S is like 1.34 a pound on sale, the cheapest.

really??? My grocery regularly has bone in breasts for 99 cents a pound and I live in CA where our prices are usually ridiculous. Maybe they give us a break on chicken since we pay out the nose for everything else.

I was printing coupons from Swagbucks, and there’s a coupon for ” Any Silk Soymilk or Almondmilk 8oz. single or multipack”. I’m not sure if this is the size of the single you bought…?
