This is not to criticize but in what world is $8.00 a great deal for pencils. I haven’t shopped in years so that just feels outrageous to me. I think the last time I did any shopping at all was 2003 I now live with my son and he buys everything but $8.00 for two small boxes of pencils sounds like a robbery to me.

Getting a 48-pack of BIC Mechanical Pencils is actually a really, really good deal! It’s been one of the best school supplies deals we’ve seen this season. When you consider a 10-pack of these pencils costs almost $4 at Walmart, the regular price per pencil runs around $0.38 per pencil. With this deal, you are paying just $0.17 per pencil — less than half the price. The only downside is you’re buying in bulk (but hey, they’ll last a really long time!). We research our deals really thoroughly and always try to make sure we are serving our readers well and posting the absolute best and lowest prices. I hope this helps see our perspective on why we considered this to be a deal definitely worth posting, since it was such a great stock-up price! 🙂 Thanks!! -Meg, MSM Team
