The Gabb Phone is kid-safe and kid-friendly. These phones are perfect for kids who need to be able to stay in touch with parents, but not quite ready for Internet access, social media, etc. They are built to keep your kids connected, not addicted.
Gretchen here! We got my son a Gabb phone several years ago and it has been such a great phone for him. We first started with a simple phone but upgraded after a year to their latest model. I cannot recommend these phones enough and tell all of my friends about them.
The Gabb service utilizes its own network, which connects to the Verizon network. The first year we had the phone, we had a lot of connectivity issues. However, since upgrading his phone 3 years ago, everything has been great and often his phone still has service even when my husband and I don’t (on our iPhones)!
This phone has been such a great introduction into the world of technology. I LOVE that he doesn’t have access to the Internet or social media, but can stay in touch with everyone through texting and phone calls.
Gabb now offers safe app add-ons like Gapp Music, Gabb Move, Gabb Messenger, and so much more. We’ve added a few of these to my son’s phone and have had a great experience with them. I especially recommend paying the extra for the Gabb Music as basically every teen loves to listen to music. This music app is much safer than Spotify in that it provides safe music and does not have video content.
I love that you can set it up so parents receive text notifications regarding any texts that are deemed “inappropriate” or questionable. This is reassuring to have when your child is first given a phone and texting capabilities or is on the younger side.
While we haven’t tried the other options out there (Bark, Pinwheel, etc), we have been SO pleased with our Gabb phone and I have recommended it to so many parents over the years. We are already planning to use it again when our second child is ready for a phone.

I got the free smartwatch last year at black Friday plus activation fee. I would recommend if you use this deal to choose the monthly plan before committing to anything longer because we have had multiple problems with our watch and service. I love the concept, but the app has so many issues it’s almost not worth it to me.

I’m late to this, but when I clicked the link today, I got this:
“The promo code SAFEKIDS25 has automatically been applied for $25 OFF Gabb Watch 3 or Gabb Phone 3 Pro”
I am just starting to research this. We have a Tracfone flip phone, prepaid at the moment, and it’s about $80/year and $30 for the phone, but not that great for texting.
(1) If we get a Gabb Phone, would we be paying monthly to the Gabb company?
(2) How much is it for a year?
(3) Can a Gabb phone text with an iPhone or a landline, or does it only work with other Gabb phones? Thanks.

Anyone else have experience with this company? I tried the website first, but it wasn’t clear. I thought someone who was a customer would know.
We really like Gabb. We paid for our phone at a discount a couple years ago and about $25 a month. It’s been just fine for us.
