Looking to save money without actually shopping in-store? With several littles in tow, I can’t usually shop the drugstore deals in-store, but have come to love doing pickup orders. I always place my order online using my Walgreens app and within 10 minutes it is ready for pickup at my closest store. The best part? I don’t even have to get out of my car as they bring it out to me!
These items and coupons are still available through Saturday so you can replicate this same pickup order.
Here’s what I bought:
Please note that in order to redeem the Ibotta cash back offers, you need to pickup your order at the photo counter where you can get a receipt. Otherwise, you won’t get a receipt and can’t submit for cash back.

I have the same $7 back for a $25 plus purchase. Does my total have to be over $25 before or after coupons to get this?
Gretchen says
Your total has to be over $25 BEFORE coupons. 🙂 I hope that helps! – Gretchen, MSM Team

My Walgreens will not let me use rewards to purchase items that will give me rewards.
Gretchen says
That’s a bummer. I HIGHLY recommend doing a pickup order because I’ve found that my store will often do the same thing but if I order it online, I don’t have any problems. It really depends on your cashier when you shop in store and I don’t have the best success with that.
The only scenario where you cannot redeem cash AND get cash back is on products that are on sale Buy A Certain Dollar Amount, Get Cash Back. (For example – Buy $20 in Garnier Fructis, Get $5 Walgreens Cash.) So you can’t use your Walgreens cash and get Walgreens cash back. But, if it’s Buy A Certain Quantity, Get Cash Back (for example – Buy 2 Garnier Fructis, Get $5 Walgreens Cash), then you CAN use your previously earned Walgreens cash. I hope that makes sense.
It’s confusing for sure. I’ve found that the easiest way for me to know what I’m spending, what coupons are coming off and how much Walgreens cash I’m earning is just to order online because I can see it all at checkout before I submit my purchase. – Gretchen, MSM Team

How did you do the Garnier x2 coupons? I only have one of each. They say they are stackable, but previous attempts show that’s not true in our area.
Gretchen says
You can “stack” the coupons if one of them is a manufacturer’s and the other one is a Walgreens coupon. So in this case, the $3/2 was a manufacturer’s and the $1/1 was a Walgreens coupon. I hope that helps! – Gretchen, MSM Team

Christina Carol says
As long as you spend $25 you’ll earn it. You can use your Walgreens cash & still earn. So it isn’t completely all out of your pocket. But yes, it should be “before coupons hun.
Good Luck,

Make sure you double check the Ibotta rebate! The one that’s linked only works at Fry’s for me. There’s a different one that works at Walgreens, but it’s only for a larger size.

Oooohhh, that’s good to know. Thanks for that reminder! I know everyone’s Ibotta rebates vary slightly. – Gretchen, MSM Team

I have been told by Walgreens that you can’t use Walgreens cash to pay if you have a paper/digital booster or you will not get the booster amount added to account, that it would kick the booster out!
Can you confirm?
Gretchen says
I have always had issues with my Walgreens cash/boosters when I shop in store for some reason. If I order online, it shows me the total Walgreens cash I will receive on my order BEFORE I submit/pay for my order so that’s super helpful. So far, I haven’t had any issue with receiving my booster amount when using cash to pay, but I’ve always done it online. My digital coupons never work in-store either, so I just stick to pickup orders. HA! – Gretchen, MSM Team
