Last week, I saw that Amazon had this 53-piece Children’s Art & Drawing Set super inexpensive, so I scooped one up as a surprise for my kids using gift cards I’d earned through Swagbucks.
I was really, really impressed with the set when it came in! This set includes: 12 Washable Color Marker Pens, 12 Color Pencils, 12 Oil Pastels, 8 Color Changers Markers, 4 Highlighters, 1 Ruler, 1 Eraser, 1 Sharpener, 1 Mechanical Pencil and 1 Pencil Lead Pack.
My kids were SO excited about the set, too. In fact, I wanted to show it on my Facebook Live video and take pictures of it for this post and I could barely keep them from keeping their hands off it it until I got both of those things done! They’ve had fun using it to draw and create with!
This would not only make a fun gift for your kids, but would also make a great gift to buy and put in your birthday gift stash for upcoming birthdays your kids might be invited to!
It’s just $4.96 on Amazon right now. I’m not sure how long the price will be that low so if you’re interested in this deal, I’d recommend going ahead and buying it now.

Off topic, but Crystal thank you for not being afraid to post a picture of your imperfect trim.
I for one get tired of seeing pictures of houses that look like nobody lives there. Perfectly shiny white walls, kitchens that look like a magazine (in my house, careful daily cleaning still doesn’t remove all the spots and stains from the cabinets and walls behind appliances), trim that looks like a chair never bumped it. I would have to paint my house WEEKLY for my walls and trim to look perfect all the time.
You’re a breath of fresh air.

I saw that in the picture and decided it’s a real picture of what much of the trim in our house looks like. We’re in a rental and the trim badly needs to be re-painted but there have been so many other issues with the house, that we’ve decided not to bother our landlords with that in favor of more important things — like a working A/C, termites, ear wigs, ceilings needing replaced because of leaks, etc. etc. etc. 🙂

We got this as well when you posted it and all 3 of my children, and our neighbors 3 kids, have all been using it daily since it arrived last week! They’ve spread out on the floor in our dining room with papers and just create! They like the set so much that every little piece has made it back into its spot at the end of every art session. Impressive!

That IS impressive!! And this makes me SO happy!!

My in-laws got my son something similar for his 6th birthday 2 weeks ago… and the markers are NOT washable. So much for our hand-finished (by us) pine wood dining room table!!

Oh no!!!

I got these for my kids when I saw the deal posted the first time. We’ve been quite happy with them and they have been using them quite a bit as well.

Yay!!

Are you happy with the quality of the products? I’m always hesitant to buy cheap art supplies for fear that they won’t be decent quality.
Crystal Paine says
So far, yes… at least for the price we paid! 🙂
Beth says
Great– you’re right, at $5.00 they don’t have to last forever or be the top of the line!! Thanks!

I also noticed that the reviews on Amazon were good, too, which I always find to be a good sign — especially when there are quite a few reviews.
