It was National Doughnut Day today and we celebrated by getting FREE Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Because who can resist free Krispy Kreme??!
It did my heart good to see so many other local folks crowded into Krispy Kreme getting their free doughnuts, too. And the staff at Krispy Kreme was doing such a fantastic job of warmly serving all the customers who were waiting in line to get free doughnuts. Based upon how many people who were there when we were, it had been a very busy day for them.
Did you stop by Krispy Kreme or Lamar’s for free doughnuts today??
That looks like a brownie batter donut! That’s what I had and it was delicious. There’s a park next to our KK, so we ate our donuts at the park (our KK was crowded too) and let the kids run off their energy.
YES! We tried the Brownie Batter doughnut as one of our choices and thought it was really yummy!
On my way to Krispy Kreme now, hoping the line won’t be TOO long. But hey, free donuts! ~Brenda from Supermoney.com
We didn’t make it, but the Krispy Kreme truck randomly dropped a dozen off for Derek at his work site. Totally made his morning! =)
How fun!
Because my grandson was asleep, my daughter decided we should use the drive through to get our freebie. It took 30 min. to place our order. Well worth the wait! We watched many Chattanoogans leaving with smiling faces.
I so wish the city near us still had a Krispy Kreme, my children use to love watching the donuts being made all the time, it was like a mini field trip for them with hats included. Lots of pictures and fond memories of Krispy Kreme with them.
I got my free donut (a blueberry cobbler!) but from Dunkin Donuts. We have only one or two KK in the Indianapolis area but neither are remotely close to us.
Even if there was a donut shop by me. (45 mins to hr. Away). They don’t carry gluten free anything. So no on my end for a free donut.
🙁
We made a special afternoon of desserts. First we stopped at Burger King for free soft serve ice cream. Papa had a stop to make and then on to Krispy Kreme. It was crowded but the grandson’s were on their best behavior. I tried the Brownie Batter too it was the best!!!
LOVE it!
We celebrated with Lamar’s donuts. We all enjoyed a free donut and enjoyed a Kansas City homegrown favorite.
