Kaitlynn (2) and Silas (10 months) both enjoyed “helping” with Freezer Cooking Day. I think they may have done more eating than helping, but that’s okay. I figure if I start training them young, someday soon, they’ll be my right hand and my left hand.
As stated by many your kiddos are too cute, my three sons love to help in the kitchen also, they are 5, 4, 2, and I love that they are boys and learning to cook. We have had mishaps with our oldest he almost cut off the same finger twice, once with a pizza cutter and once when he was helping can tomatoes and decided he wanted to cut up a potato, poor guy he is very shy aroung knives now. and we have a plastic pizza cutter.
this is what I did with my kids and grandkids.Now when they walk in the door and I am cooking, they take over and I grab a drink, prop my feet up and keep my mouth shut on the “I don’t do it that way” that some times wants to pop out .I think they now understand why I always went for a walk when they had kitchen duty as kids LOL
How cute are they?? Children are never too young to learn the joys of cooking!!

It’s so important for them to help. You are doing a great job! I know sometimes I dread mine helping but I comfort myself knowing that they will be able to take care of their families better than I was able to when I first got married.
I get my kids to start cooking as soon as they can read! My 7 year old can mix up batters for lots of things. I stay within earshot in case he gets teaspoons and tablespoons mixed up! (and to do the oven of course)
Ah, how adorable! My kids helped at that age and one still loves to cook and thrives on trying new things. The other? He can make tacos 🙂
