Earn Money By Watching Videos on Jingit

Jingit is a newer income-earning program that pays you to watch ads online. You can also earn money for downloading the mobile app, scanning items at Walmart, and answering a couple of questions.

How Do You Sign Up?

To sign up, just go here and follow the steps outlined. You’ll need to create an account, input your phone number, and type in the verification number they text to you.

How Do You Earn Cash?

Once you’re signed up, you can begin watching videos or doing store check-ins. You should be offered at least a few videos you can watch right away. It looks like they add a few new videos each week.

Plus, if you have a smartphone, you can download the Jingit app and get paid to scan grocery UPC codes while you’re in store.

How Do You Get Paid?

To get paid, you just register for a Jingit Visa Debit Card (costs $3 from your Jingit balance to request it) and then add cash for your online Jingit balance to the Visa card.

How Much Can You Make?

There is an earning limit of $15 per week. When you initially join, you’ll have a lower earning limit but this can be raised to $15 by inviting friends to join.

Candi commented on my post about Jingit and said:

I have tried it and found that it is really very easy to make a couple of bucks. They videos you watch are super short, so it really doesn’t take too much time. I have also done the “check in” feature which has you scan in items Walmart and answer a couple of questions and you get money instantly! Fairly simple, but I have had it not scan a couple of items. I will only scan items in store if I need to be at Walmart anyway, you are only going to make a buck or two at a time so it is in no way worth the trip to the store for that. -Candi

I signed up for Jingit back when it was mentioned here last fall. Before the new year, I earned about $15, using it every day in order to maximize my earnings. That is excluding the $3 fee required to obtain your debit card. Since the new year, Jingit has had *very few* earning opportunities. I have earned a total of …. 40 cents. That is not for lack of trying.

The money I earned was mainly from watching the ads online. I did one check-in at Walmart with the mobile phone app. I found that some of the product UPCs did not want to scan, perhaps because of the lighting, or maybe because of the UPC placement on a flexible bag. I earned about $2 doing mobile check-ins at Walmart that day, and it took me about half an hour to find all the products, do the scans, and answer the questions. At that time, I decided that the mobile check-ins were just not worth the hassle.

Over time, the payout per ad watched has also dropped. Most ads used to earn 50c or even $1, but now they are mostly 20c each, and I have not been able to watch them multiple times.

I’ve only had 2 videos this year. I read on the Jingit facebook page that the new videos were only going to be available at certain times during the day, but after checking at different times throughout the day I haven’t had much luck.

Glad to know I’m not the only one!! I’ve had the same experience, which is really disappointing.

Thank you to those who relayed their experiences with this. Sounds like one that I will definitely give a pass to.

I hope that Jingit goes back to what it was last fall. I earned $20 in less than 2 months! But in 2013 I have earned a total of 30 cents. I already have the debit card so I am holding on to hope that it becomes a money-maker again. But in reality, I don’t know if it will.

    • Kim says:

Don’t forget to do a transaction on the debit card at least once–I think it’s every 3 months. Otherwise you’ll be charged an $8 fee. I’ve left <$1 in my Jingit account, & transferred $0.02 last week to avoid any fees.

I made $10 each week the first two weeks. $5 the next week & a little after that. I've made 40 cents since March 11–one 20 cent ad & two 10 cent ads. I try to check several times a day, but that's not always possible. I have a Straight Talk phone, which isn't capable of downloading their app, so haven't been able to take advantage of the check ins.

  • Stephanie says:

I find Jingit to be a big waste of time. There are hardly ever any opportunities and to have to pay $3 to obtain the debit card is ridiculous. Now I just read in a prior comment that not using the debit card in a certain time period results in a fee. Boo Jingit!
