I was honored to have the opportunity to record a very authentic and vulnerable podcast on What To Do When You Feel Like Quitting Your Blog. If you’ve ever felt like quitting your blog or something else you’ve poured a lot of effort into, I think this will encourage you.
In this podcast, I share:
- My journey from pre-social media blogging to a site that has close to 2 million unique visitors a month
- Why even the most successful bloggers still think about quitting
- 5 questions you should ask yourself when you want to quit blogging
- How a snub from Facebook helped me be more at peace with blogging
- Why I gave herself the freedom to write about everything I was passionate about, even if it wasn’t in my niche
- How being inspired by someone and trying to copy their success are different
- When to step back and ask “What is working?”
- Finding a healthy balance of sacrifice during your journey toward success
- Practical suggestions for what to do when you are overwhelmed by the urge to quit
I finally took some time to listen to this podcast!
There were lots of great nuggets and you have me thinking about changing up a few things that I’m doing on my blog that I don’t absolutely love.
Thank you Crystal!
You are so welcome! Thank you for taking time to listen!
I keep blogging only because God has given me the gift of encouragement and my blog is the best way to encourage the most Moms. Can’t wait to listen!!
Look forward to this podcast! I am not sure whether to continue my blog some days or not! It is a lot of work, that part is ok but just knowing if it’s worth the time is hard. Praying lots. MSM has been a huge encouragement for me! Will listen to podcast by tomorrow!
Thanks for sharing this. As a new blogger, i find it encouraging to hear about your experiences and to learn from your perspective.
Just a heads up that the link in pink (words) doesn’t work but clicking on the picture does!
Thanks so much! Fixing that right now…
Bookmarking this for later – can’t wait to listen! I’ve been feeling like giving up on my new blog recently…sometimes it just seems like high time investment. Even though I really enjoy it, everyone faces those kinds of days, I suppose!
Thanks so much for talking with me in this podcast. You are so relatable on this subject and help so many other bloggers put their blogging into perspective.
Thank you SO much for the opportunity to share on your podcast! It was a true honor!
I listened while I cleaned up after lunch (as is my habit is to only listen to podcasts while doing housework ;). I’m only halfway through but I want to give you encouragement. My sister and brother-in-law have grown a huge real estate businesses and have gone from one employee to over fifteen plus maintenance contractors and they have thousands of tenants. I imagine some days you’d rather go back to the tiny apartment (they would too!); carrying the weight of having to make payroll in the leaner months (let alone pay yourselves) must be an incredibly heavy load. You are unique from other deal bloggers because God has called you to spread the Gospel through this platform. I’m going to start remembering you in my prayers because I truly believe your leadership is changing the world.
Wise words – I completely agree with you, Anne! Crystal’s blog definitely serves a higher purpose!
Thank you so very much for your sweet words! You have no idea how much this comment blessed me — thank you!
I agree with you, Anne. After listening to this podcast today I thought, “For such a time as this.”
Thank you so much, Crystal, for taking a stand and following God’s leading in your life.
Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words. You blessed me so much!
