These always look so delicious at the fair and last year I finally splurged. It was such a disappointment – even my children didn’t like it! I guess it’s just a good childhood memory, but not good to me now.

Oh my! Wish I heard of this years ago! My kids and I love…love..love funnel cakes and always splurge on them when we see them. And I always have extra batter since my husband is not a fan of pancaked. Boy are they going to be happy!! Thanks!
Peggy Flamand says
How did that work out for you. Were they happy? Maybe my husband and kids would like this. What do you think?

Leftover pancake batter?? Who ever has that problem??
(I either make the last pancake extra large or make a small one out of the “extra”, which, since it’s so small and clearly can’t be enough for a full meal, I promptly eat. Besides, doesn’t every batch need to be “tested”??) 😉
Anyway, making funnel cakes from pancake batter is splendid idea…I may have to whip up a batch just to try it!!
Thanks for the suggestion and instructions!!

Batter is spelled better in the post title…Just the copy editor in me coming out. Feel free not to post this comment!

Leftover pancake batter? Is there such a thing? LOL. Not in my house. We scrape the bowl and end up with one last pancake the size of a quarter sometimes. 🙂

😉 We’ve definitely been there and done that!

We never have extra either—I usually double or triple the batch and put whatever doesn’t get eaten in the freezer. They’re easy to warm in the toaster and eat on the way to the bus stop. 🙂

Karen does what I do. They freeze terrifically well and reheat decently in the microwave and fantastically in the oven or toaster.

Love this! Now if only I could find the funnel…. Life with toddlers 😉
