Earn Cash for Scanning Receipts with CoinOut
Sign up for the CoinOut app to earn cash for every receipt you scan!
It’s super simple and though you don’t earn a ton of money for each receipt, every little bit adds up over time! In addition to grocery store and restaurant purchases, you can also earn cash back for online purchases.
CoinOut was featured on Shark Tank and gets really great reviews.
I like to scan all my receipts in both CoinOut and Fetch Rewards to earn the most I can from each receipt!

Does it make a difference what the amount is on the receipt, I don’t understand how you get/make money
I have used Coin Out for about 6 months… LOVE it! SUPER easy and its tracking your earnings in actual dollars and cents – unlike other apps that have “points” you have to calculate. You do have a limit of receipts you can scan a day – so making sure that you scan your oldest first until the limit – then do more the next day… every few cents helps anymore!
I also received only 1.50 for signup…I don’t think I’ll keep the app if it isn’t really $3? Any suggestions on who to contact?
So if you are already scanning your receipts to one app can you scan the same receipts to another one?
I’d like to know the answer to this question also
Yes I scan the same receipt on fetch and CoinOut
Ok. So I signed up for coinout. Although I did not receive the $3 —I know it’s only $3!! I did receive $1.50 for sign up though. I reached out to CoinOut and was told that they aren’t affiliated with this 3rd party website?!! Any help, thanks 🙂
Btw- CoinOut is simple to use – pennies make dollars and every bit counts! 👍🏼 Still recommend
Hi Dawn! Hmmm, that’s weird. I’m wondering if the sign-up bonus has decreased down to $1.50 since we posted this back in January. I’m checking on this right now for you and we’ll be sure to update the post if it’s incorrect and help you get your money if it’s still supposed to be $3. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and I’m glad you’re enjoying CoinOut! -Meg, MSM Team
Hi Dawn! Can you please email me at meagan@moneysavingmom.com? Thank you!
I have been very disappointed with Ibotta lately. Anyone else or am I just not buying the right things?
It seems to come in waves, depending on the time of year and region you’re in, for sure! -Meg, MSM Team
Oh no!! I’m so sorry to hear that! I’ve always heard great things about Ibotta, but don’t have much experience using them myself. -Olivia, MSM Team
they don’t seem to offer a lot of the products that i used to buy, seems like not many of the basic things but more expensive an higher end specialty type things that I don’t buy.
Also, I tried to redeem my points around the end of November-ish for $20 on a Wal-Mart gift card and so far nothing, I’ve tried using their “help” option but not helpful and their option to contact them is a joke. May daughter had similar issue and she says she finally found a phone number that you can call at the very bottom, but even then it is an ordeal. She did finally after much waiting for them to researd it get her gift card, a few weeks ago.
Receipt pal
Coun out is really great!! It’s SLOW adding up, but it’s free money!
I have been using Coin Out and now all of a sudden it won’t let me scan receipts without signing up for email direct. What’s your thoughts about linking your email?
Receipt pal.
Cannot find “coun out’
Sounds like a good idea
