My older sister, Brigette, shares her shopping trips and menu plans every week! You can go HERE to see all of her weekly menu plans and you can go HERE to read all about her family!
I’ve been out of town most of the last two weeks, so it feels great to get back into grocery shopping and menu planning! I spent a little more than normal this week, but that’s what happens when you get back from vacation and there’s almost no food in the house. 😉

Wow, that’s an awesome deal on the asparagus!! Would you mind sharing your recipe for shepherds pie? My son requested shepherds pie for his birthday dinner next month because he has tried it at restaurants and enjoyed it. I have never made it though so I’m a little nervous about it because I don’t have a good recipe that someone has recommended to me.
I posted a reply to your comment several days ago, but somehow it didn’t post – maybe because I was on my phone instead of my laptop. I’m sorry – I wasn’t ignoring your question. I use a recipe for Shepherd’s Pie that is from an old church cookbook. We love it, but there are definitely healthier version out there. 😉 It has a layer of cooked ground beef mixed with condensed (undiluted) tomato soup. Then a layer of canned green beans, a layer of seasoned mashed potatoes, and a layer of shredded cheese. Bake until bubby. I’m sure you could google and find this recipe – or at least something extremely similar. My kids have chosen it for a birthday dinner request as well!
Thanks so much! I appreciate your response!
