Sam’s Club
(A friend called to tell me she found large jars of Almond Butter for $3.91 each, which is a fantastic price! I’m guessing Sam’s Club is discontinuing them. The expiration date wasn’t until July, so I was thrilled to be able to stock-up! While my weekly grocery budget is around $65 a week, that does not factor in occasional bulk purchases such as this.)
10 24-oz jars Almond Butter – $39.10
Total: $39.10
Zaycon
(We LOVE Zaycon! The only thing I have ever ordered from them is chicken, but we have been thoroughly impressed with the freshness, quality and pricing, as well as excellent customer service. I highly recommend checking to see if they offer a drop-off in your area.)

That’s great to know – thank you!! I LOVE salmon and have been considering ordering it, so I appreciate your encouragement! 🙂

We ordered Zaycon’s Wild Alaskan Salmon last month, and it is just fantastic. At 6.99 a pound, it can’t be beat. I received 16 vacuum sealed and frozen large fillets. I cook up one filet for a dinner for our family of four, but we always have enough for leftovers from that, too. It is a great way to get those healthy omega 3’s in.

Gretchen – can you tell me how you package your zaycon chicken once you bring it home? I’m picking up my very first order this week and don’t have a clue about how it’s proportioned..?
Brigette Shevy says
It comes in large whole breasts. I like to cut them into more single-serving size pieces and then freeze for a few hours on a cookie sheet. Then I transfer them into freezer gallon-size ziplocs. This makes it similar to the bags of frozen chicken breasts you buy in the store – but these are fresher and don’t have any additives. And cheaper. 🙂

Thanks so much, Brigette!! That helps tremendously and I can’t wait to get my order this week. And, sorry I called you Gretchen. I have 2 sisters and I answer to 3 different first names, plus anytime any kids around say “Mom!”.
