My older sister, Brigette, shares her shopping trips and menu plans every week! You can go HERE to see all of her weekly menu plans and you can go HERE to read all about her family!
Last week was Mission’s Conference at our church, and we ended up having several of our meals provided for us which I had forgotten about when planning the weekly menu. This means we didn’t need to buy as much at the store this week. Also, my 14-yr old got his first deer of the season this past weekend, so we processed and packaged around 40lbs of meat for our freezer (not pictured). We love venison!

I NOTICED THAT YOUR WEEKLY SHOPPING INCLUDES A LOT OF BROCCOLI. JUST CURIOUS AS TO HOW YOU FIX IT. MY FAMILY NEEDS MORE VEGGIES AND THEY ALWAYS COMPLAIN AS TO HOW I FIX THEM. THANKS.
I’m not Brigette, but some people like broccoli with a cheese sauce. Or parmesan sprinkled on top. Mixed into a casserole of something they like can work too – like chicken and rice or noodles with cream of chicken soup and broccoli. My kids like “ham bites” – drop biscuits with cheese, ham, and broccoli mixed in. My kids know that they have to eat some of whatever is served but it helps if there’s something they like on top of or mixed with what they don’t care for.
Those ideas all sound amazing! Thank you so much for sharing. 🙂
We just microwave the “steamable” bags and then toss in a bowl with some butter and garlic salt. My picky husband and all of my children will eat it willingly like this. HOWEVER, it’s one of only a very few vegetables my husband will eat…so yes, we have it a LOT, haha. I feel your pain!!!
