I usually enjoy grocery shopping (I know, I’m weird like that), but this week ended up being a less than ideal experience. Every store was completely out of the “best” deals (you know – the ones you go into the store excited to buy), and apparently “cold” weather puts everyone in a shopping mood, because the lines were ridiculously long. My preplanned list mostly went out the window and I just ended up doing the best I could, adjusting my weekly menu plan as needed. Some weeks in life are just like that, though! 🙂

The deals at our stores were pretty much gone this week too! Some weeks are like that! We tried the Egg Roll in a Bowl this week for the first time and it was a HUGE hit!! Thanks for the idea!
I hear you about the store craziness. We’ve had record breaking snowfalls in Maine the past two weeks with more to come starting Sunday. All people are doing are grocery shopping when they’re not shoveling snow.
I feel your Fuji pain. Golden Delicious are my least favorites.
Just wanted to say that I really enjoy seeing the grocery items you purchase each week. So much fresh and healthy items and still you keep it under budget!
I hear ya! You still did a great job.
There have been times when the store is out of everything that I just wanted to quietly park my cart somewhere and go out to my car and drive away. I haven’t done it—-yet.
